Chic home sleeps 9, has a hot tub, 3rd floor balcony, and EV Level 2 Charger

This unique, modern house is located in the quite town of Mountainaire only 11 mins from downtown Flagstaff.

The side patio just off of the dining room is where our Palatino (six person) hot tub is conveniently located as well as a charcoal grill (charcoal not provided), outdoor fireplace (firewood provided), and seating area.

The first floor has a spacious living room with a gas fireplace, a large dining room table that seats 8, and a beautiful wooden island in the kitchen that seats another 4. The living room has a sectional couch with a chaise couch, a recliner, 4K TV, and a gaming corner. The spacious kitchen has a gourmet gas stove, Carrara marble countertops, a butler's pantry that includes a wine fridge and a dedicated ice maker. Basic spices are also available. A split a/c unit cools the first floor on those rare days that an a/c is needed.

The second floor contains the master suite with a queen bed, bathroom with rain shower, 4K TV, and a sizable desk (in case you are working from home-- no one said it had to be at your home). High speed 1 gigabyte wireless internet is available throughout the house free of charge. This floor also has two more bedrooms each with a full size bed. In the guest bathroom there is a large soaking bathtub that can seat two.

If you are traveling with kids, then they will love the third floor. The "Bunkhouse" contains twin bunkbeds and a twin trundle bed. The upstairs living room has plenty of board games, toys, a 4K TV, DVD player, and a retro Sega Genesis console (who says that you can't be a kid again too). An a/c window unit is located on the third floor to cool the upstairs for those rare days when it is in the 90's. Home audio is controlled via Alexa.

Lastly, you will find our house's prized possession--our third floor rooftop terrace. It is fully equipped with a natural gas grill, ambient lighting, outdoor sofa and lounge chairs, as well as a table for outdoor meals. Enjoy the AMAZING view of the mountains as you sit surrounded by beautiful pine trees and gaze at the Milky Way (no streetlights). It is almost like you are living among the Ewoks on Endor!

When you aren't enjoying the house, outside we have 2 wood burning fireplaces, abundant firewood, several Adirondack chairs, a table that seats 8, and a gorgeous flower garden. You can enjoy s’mores with the kids (sticks included). We hope you will enjoy your time here as much as we do.

Great Stay in the Treehouse

The treehouse was great! Perfect location for snowbowl and attending our son's NAU graduation! Very clean, plenty of pillows towels, blankets and necessities. The lights do not work on the hot tub which we didn't find out until after we rented and the driveway is very steep which the pictures didn't really show, but would stay again and recommend.

Amazing Mountainaire Rental

My family and I stayed in Mountainaire for our daughter’s wedding. The venue was located in the same neighborhood as the Aldea in the Woods wedding venue. The property itself was outstanding! Every detail was very meticulous throughout the home. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you very much!

I am not sure who manages your VRBO but this place is very dirty. The upstairs two of the bedrooms had dirty sheets which I will send photos, the upstairs deck is a complete disaster , the hot tub area is a mess with a bag of trash next to the steps. The garage is filthy. The drive way is very steep. Glad it wasn’t snowing. You cold smell fire smoke from neighbors it was very unpleasant. We are washing sheets and blanket’s now.

I am so sorry that you had a stain on the sheets. I truly wish you had sent me pictures during your stay as you had said you were going to do. Then I would have been able to address your concerns in real time. Fortunately, we have multiple sets of sheets so the situation was easily remedied. Yes, occasionally a dirty sock is left under a bed. During winter in Flagstaff I put our outdoor patio chair cushions away in storage bags. It looks like, unfortunately, another guest took all of the cushions out and did not put them away. Please realize that it is an outdoor patio in a Ponderosa pine forest and so cushions do get dirty. I appreciate your concern and will make sure that the patio cushions are cleaned. Thank you for bringing the grill cover to our attention. Unfortunately, guests don't always treat our home as they would their own. Sometimes a guest takes the cover off, doesn't replace it, and then the cover gets buried in the snow. Occasionally the wind blows the cover off as well. I'm not sure what was wrong with our garage. (Feel free to contact me privately to discuss further if you would like.). We did have a lot of snow last month so perhaps some dirt, salt, or volcanic ash was left behind when snow melted off of the car. Yes our driveway is steep; our house is in the mountains. We do provide snow plowing (had it been snowing during your visit). Yes, some of our neighbors have wood burning fireplaces (as do we- 2 that are outside). Most people enjoy the smell of a fire so I'm sorry that you found it unpleasant. I appreciate your feedback. All of your concerns have already been corrected as of March 17. We have been renting our home with VRBO for over 5 years and have never received a rating less than 4 so we wanted to correct the anomaly. Sincerely, Stephanie and Ryan Penton

This listing is fantastic! The location is great and the house is very unique and well maintained. One thing they do not call out is the backyard which is pretty unique as it has all kinds of flowers and plants! The A/C really helps keep it cool as well. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home.

Great Family Winter Destination

This was our first visit to Flagstaff, Arizona. We are from Washington state and traveled to be with family for a belated Christmas celebration. This house was perfect for our group. Very modern and well appointed. lots of sleep options for the kids and adults. All very comfortable. There was lots of snow in the area but the streets were well plowed. The kids enjoyed sledding and tubing at a nearby hillside. We would definitely return here for another family gathering.

Wonderful stay!

Truly feels like home away from home! Great house with everything you could possibly want. Very clean everywhere, very comfortable beds, great Hot Tub, nice kitchen. Stephanie was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. She truly cares and wants to make your stay great! She even put up a christmas tree for us! Location of the house is perfect because it is close to Flagstaff, Sedona, Grand Canyon and so much more. But if you don’t want to drive, there are great Hiking trails very close by. We did Fat Man loop and highly recommend it! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Getaway!

The property was all it advertised! The property owners made everything so easy, from check in to departure. We were also able to easily contact them and received immediate responses. The home was very well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms were comfortable and living areas were perfect for family time and fun! Great location, far enough off the highway to leave the noise and lights behind. Yet, close enough to shopping if you needed. 5 stars for many reasons but the owners made this a 5 star review for their excellent communication and for sharing their beautiful home!

Awesome Place to Stay in Flagstaff!

The treehouse was an awesome place to stay and provided us with everything that we needed for a weekend skiing up at the Arizona Snowbowl. Forewarning if it dumps two feet or more of snow you might have to do some shoveling and be aggressive when going up the driveway into the garage. That however is the price you pay to get to the mountain for the first tracks and can't wait for the plow company. Overall the place was fantastic and provided everything we needed for our group and a perfect spot for family dinners with every kitchen component that you need.

Perfection

The house was amazing, we wanted a location to visit the Grand Canyon and added on the petrified forest for another day adventure! This house was perfect to visit both and allow us to come back and have family night together after a day long adventure! We are a family of four that enjoy our limited time together and to be able to cook in a dream kitchen (quote from my 15 year old daughter!) and relax and have space.. This tree house was amazing…. It was very quiet (I was concerned looking at the maps and being in a neighborhood) however, this home was exactly what we look for when we travel. The host are very responsive. Thank you for making our spring break 2025 trip amazing!

Perfect Retreat in the Pines!

Our family of 5 felt instantly at home upon entering this beautiful home in the pines. Ryan and Stephanie did an amazing job of providing everything we needed...fully stocked and organized kitchen, very comfortable beds, firepits/firewood, grills, hot tub, beautiful gardens, and a great living space to gather. We had some cloudy nights so we couldn't do a ton of star gazing but the rooftop deck would have been an amazing place to look up and take it all in. It was easy and quick for us to get to Lowell Observatory, downtown Flagstaff, West Fork Trail, Fat Man's Loop and Sedona. We loved all of these activities! Thank you for providing such a great home away from home while we explored Northern Arizona.

Perfect Bday Getaway in the Treehouse!

This house was absolutely perfect for my bday weekend to escape the heat and be amongst the pine trees. It fit the description to a tee, and was even more wonderful in person. The house is clean, modern yet cozy and had everything we could have needed and more. The garden and backyard was heavenly. We even got some rain which made the experience even more incredible. We loved being able to walk to the country store and little tavern. Everyone in the town was so nice and welcoming. The pizza at the tavern is to die for and worth the wait! I can't wait to come back and will be referring it to everyone I own. The owner was so helpful and accommodating from start to finish. Thank you for the perfect weekend getaway!

Fantastic home and location

We had a lovely week in Flagstaff for our summer vacation and this rental home was perfect. The home is very clean and comfy. The location was ideal for day trips to Sedona, the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. The kids loved the hot tub after hiking and enjoying the amazing surrounding attractions. The kitchen is very well stocked and had everything I needed to cook several meals. There is no AC but the nights do cool off and there is a 3rd floor window AC unit that provided some cooler air that could be felt on the 2nd floor (where 3 bedrooms are located.) Communication with the owner was flawless and they provided a very nice welcome packet with lots of helpful information about the house and surrounding area. Overall, an excellent rental home!

Graduation Weekend in the Pines

What a great house! We really enjoyed our time. The house has so many great spaces to hang out and visit, including the large sized kitchen. We only had issues with the "smart home" lights in the kitchen. I think having some more instructions on the Alexa and smart switches would have helped us trouble shoot. However, communication with the hosts was great and they did everything they could to try and help. The driveway, as described, is VERY steep. Like 18% grade steep lol! But everything worked out great, and it was the perfect space for our NAU graduation weekend with family!

We love this small community. You feel like you are staying in the countryside and yet are conveniently located near Flagstaff. It reminds us of our small town that we lived in in Michigan.
