Our stay was pleasant and the hosts were good with communication. There was no significant issue with our stay, the place itself is nice. My one piece of feedback would be cleanliness. The floors were visibly dirty with dirt and hair, some of the towels had stains on them, and some of the bed sheets had stains on them. I understand they have a cleaning service that takes care of their cleaning, but I would recommend double checking their work because I did not feel “clean” during our stay.

Catfished

The location of the property was great. Very close proximity to Gatlinburg. However, the pictures posted do not represent the interior at all. Upon entering the stairs and elevator to the condo, there was a strong mildew odor. The interior of the condo is in desperate need of repair and updates. The paint was peeling on the baseboards and the doors are stained and need a coat of paint. There are numerous places where the drywall needs repaired. One of the bedrooms shower head was leaking. The dining room chair was broken prior to our arrival so we were unable to fully use the dining table. There appeared to be mold on one of the ceilings in the bedroom. I messaged the owner about these issues and did not receive a response. The furniture is very uncomfortable, loud and also in desperate need of upgrading. Half of the lightbulbs were out on the property so it was very dark as there isn’t a lot of natural light. We were only there for one night and did not feel comfortable sleeping in the beds so we slept on top of the beds. I don’t know when the owners were last on site but hopefully they can address these issues as the property is in a great location.

Disappointing

While the location and size of the condo was just what we were looking for, the place itself was disappointing. For what was described as a recently updated condo, it was worn and looked cheaply done. The TV didn’t turn on, maybe remote needed batteries, the beds were creaky and uncomfortable, and the one bedroom near the front door was dirty. The bed in that room had dirty sheets with crumbs and jelly beans in the bed and on the floor around the bed. There was a candy wrapper on the bedside shelf and the shower valve and sink faucet were loose and plumbed backwards. The bedding in all the rooms should be replaced entirely, as they were worn and thin. Overall, we expected better quality for an updated condo. Luckily it was just an overnight stay for us, any longer and we would have found another place to stay.

Review of stay

The faucets were all loose on every sink, the air conditioning unit was extremely loud as it turned on and off throughout the night. One of the kitchen chairs was broken (the back was not supported) and the main room (kitchen living room) was extremely dark (several light bulbs were burned out).The accommodations were OK, but not fantastic.

June 20 stay

The condo is nice but old and outdated. All of the beds squeak, there are no curtains on the windows and the light outside streamed in all night. There’s gaps in the floor boards. Some of the chairs are broken. There was trash left on the counter when we got there. It worked for our one night stay but would not stay want to stay for longer.

Horrible Condo! AVOID

AVOID this condo at all costs!Let's start off this horrid experience with the location. The location advertised on VRBO is NOT where the condo is located. Took some serious searching to find the condo.Next, the exposed screws and shoody workmanship to convert this to a 3bed/3bath. My daughter cut her toe on an exposed screw in the transition to a bedroom. Beds, this is what made the condo unlivable. All three beds sound like plastic water bottles getting crushed. Any movement created horrible sounds. All three beds!Then came the final "we aren't staying here" when we pulled back the covers on a bed...a nest of bugs flew up from the covers.The host did not respond to a single attempt to contact them, even when we contacted VRBO to reach out. The only communication we got was an automated, thank you for staying and check out. Not a single communication from a person. If they had read a single message they would have known we left within an hour of arriving.This condo is horrible, the host (if there is even one) is horrible. The condo is unsafe, the beds unsleepable. AVOID AT ALL COST

Loved the 3 bedrooms and private 3 baths AND 3 individual air handlers so mom can have it warmer than the rest of us like. Having a pool and hot tub onsite was great too. The walk to town was easy going down but all uphill going back which was a little hard on my older mom. However, Handicap parking was great and right at the front door plus there is an elevator! The floor installation was poorly done and there are gaps on the edges everywhere. The mattresses were comfy but very squeaky in all of the rooms. It unit shows its age and it a little beat up on the walls, trim, and cabinets. However, those are minor concerns and we will certainly find our way back. Great communication with Ethan!

Good for a Quick Stay for Family of 5

Great location with free parking. Check-in was a breeze and directions were clear. The unit was roomy enough for our family of five (two teens and a mother-in-law), but it didn’t quite live up to the photos. It felt a little worn, and had a damp, musty smell that could use some airing out. The bed was comfortable but squeaked like an old rocking chair every time we moved. Outlets were hit-or-miss, and there was no shampoo or conditioner in any of the bathrooms - so bring your own! There were no extras - no coffee, no water, not even basic toiletries - so don’t expect hotel perks. For the price, we expected a bit more polish. Still, the space worked well for one night and was more comfortable than cramming into one hotel room. The host was friendly in all communications, which we really appreciated. With a few cosmetic updates and small touches, this could be a GREAT spot - lots of potential. Overall, it did the job for our quick stay!

I will definitely stay here again in the future

Me and my husband and our 5 children were visiting from FL. After booking Ethan and Jennifer reached out to me and gave me all of the info I would need to self check in once I arrived. I had no issues checking in at all. The room was clean and updated. Everything was fully stocked. They checked on us a few times during our stay and even sent me a link to check out their other rentals. I would definitely stay here again. It’s not too far from all the wonderful things that Gaitlnburg has to offer. Thanks again Ethan and Jennifer

Nasty

I would not recommend this condo to anyone. Unless changes were made to the cleaning. The bed I should be sleeping in has peanut shells and other dirt not at all been cleaned! Reason I figured out what was in the bed is I found an empty bag of peanuts and a full bag. The king bed sheets and pillows have make-up on them that is fresh. I have pictures. I will never be here again. I have stayed in another condo in this same place. All was very clean. We also have dead ladybugs and dirt in the window seals. I started meaaaging them as soon as we got her. 7:30PM. No response even though he said up until 8:30. We come to Gatlinburg regularly. This is by far the worst place I have ever seen. I have been doing this area since I got married in 1977.

Very Dissapointing

The condo was very dirty. There was an Infestation of bugs in master bedroom, they Towel racks were falling off the wall, and the whole apartment could use a painting. The photos in the listing at the time of booking did not match what we found upon arrival. Would NOT recommend!!

I struggled with what to say for this review. The location is fine, check in process good and communication good. However, the apartment was the dirtiest vrbo we have ever stayed. It was not a one time not cleaned well issue. The construction is shoddy in the home. The white cushions in the photos are no longer white. We left our reservation early due to the conditions. The owner was understanding and refunded our remaining nights. Maybe it will be better for the next person? I hope so.

Disappointed

We were disappointed with our stay at this condo and will not return. Several items of concern. First, the communication response time to our initial concern was lacking. We could not figure out how to get the door to auto lock when we left from the very start. After many texts with owner and property manager, someone came out Saturday morning and said that the lock on the keypad had to be turned vertical to auto lock. It was frustrating that it took more than a day to resolve. Second the chairs in the living room were gross. One chair was missing a back cushion and there were no covers on any of the cushions. There was blood stain and urine stains on them. We used a bedsheet to cover that. The blinds in the front room were missing slats. So we covered it with a sheet for privacy. The entire place needs updated. The condo facility itself also needs a big upgrade in stairwells and walkways. I took pictures of everything if there are any questions.

Not well maintained, electic plugs out of walls, doors to bedroom difficult to open and close, stove was not clean, towels were damp and stunk, mattresses were so noisy (crunchy) that we could not get out of beds without waking up the spouse, very dirty under couches and chairs

The unit it’s self was very nice. Beds were comfortable. The disadvantage was that the basic necessities that was supposed to get us started was really basic like a partial roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and less than a half roll of paper towels in kitchen. The area to park was very small and it was very dingy and dirty looking going around the pool to go in to elevator. Water standing in area at elevator the whole time we were there.
