Beautiful 3-2 Waterfront Home Solar Pool & Ice Machine

This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath canal front home which is perfect for a family getaway. It sleeps 10 people at an affordable price with lots of amenities to make you feel more like our house guests than vacation renters!

The house has an open concept kitchen, dining room and sunken living room. The kitchen is fully stocked so plan to make some great meals to eat at the large dining room table, the breakfast nook or poolside. If you prefer to grill, the “grill master” can choose to use the large flat top gas grill or the smaller charcoal grill.

There is a split bedroom arrangement. The master bedroom has a king size bed and sliding glass doors leading to the pool. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third has a bunk bed with a full mattress on the bottom and a twin mattress on the top. There is a full mattress under the bed that can be pulled out if needed. The closet is stocked with toys and games so we like to call this the “kids room.”

The private solar heated pool (chilly during winter months) is enclosed by a spacious lanai with ample seating for the whole family to eat, sunbathe, watch the kids swim or read a good book. If the night is a little chilly you can sit by the fire in the separate outdoor patio.

After you launch your boat from the public boat ramp across the street, it’s only a short ride to the canal where you’ll find the dock and floating dock. Fill your beverage & fish coolers with ice from our 250lb ice machine and you're on your way. Please note that the canal can get shallow during low tide but I was able to easily maneuver my 27’ boat to the deeper water.

Restaurants, shopping and the historical town are just a few minutes away. Crystal clear springs, nature trails and parks are close by for the outdoor lovers.

This is where you want to stay in the summertime for some great scalloping, the winter time to see the manatees and to escape the cold if you’re snowbirds and all year long for some phenomenal fishing!

This was our first time at Crystal River and the Turtle House didnt disappoint. It was a little out dated but overall an enjoyable experience. There is a hot tube on the property and we were pretty disappointed to find out it is drained and not usable. It would have been nice since we could use the pool because of how cold it was. But there was so much stuff that was available, kayaks, lifejackets, dog toys (but we didnt bring our animals), a dock to walk out on, and bikes (we used about everyday). We would definitely go back.

Everything was wonderful - location, neighbors and surroundings, cleanliness, responsiveness, lots of dishes and cooking utensils, blankets, laundry room… we stayed for 9 days and loved every second. Perfect place for family time and exploring Crystal River, Rainbow Springs, UF, Weeki Wachee, The Chaz, Homassassa Springs… we would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

We had an excellent stay at this home. It was fully furnished and set up with everything we needed to make our vacation amazing!! The boat dock was perfect for our 247 Sportsman boat. We used their paddleboards at Rainbow River and it was absolutely beautiful and fun!!! The owner was very responsive with any questions we had. We will definitely be back again! Thank you!!!

The house is gorgeous! Its clean, spacious and has a perfect location. We saw a group of 6 manatees in the canal fron the the dock. We also caught several fish and went kyaking. Our daughter loved the pool. The host is wonderful, attentive, and kind. We have bookmarked this house for any return trips to the area.

We had a great time and enjoyed this home. Definitely recommend. We had 2 couples and our 2 sons and it was a perfect fit for us, with our 29' boat we had no trouble with tides or the bridge height.

Our family had a wonderful 4-day stay over Labor Day Weekend. The property is exactly as described and the house was extremely clean. We especially loved the giant eat-in kitchen. It was perfect for cooking up big family meals. It was super convenient being close to the boat ramp, and there was space at the dock out back to fit our 2950 ProLine Midcabin Walkaround boat for scalloping. 10/10 would recommend this property and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you!

The property was great very clean. Had everything that we needed amenity wise. The only downfall is the ride out to the main river felt very long, 35 Ish minutes to get to the closest restaurant if you’re idling like you should be.. I wish the house had a waterfront feel. Between the large vinyl fences blocking any view, and lack of waterside seating (not even a chair down by the dock to fish from?) that was my biggest disappointment. For the price point, we would definitely stay again.

Annual Family Scalloping Trip

We so enjoyed our stay at the Turtle House this year for our annual family scalloping trip. This was our first time at this house, and it had everything we needed and more. David was very quick to respond to any of our questions. The location was amazing, and the ice machine was huge hit.

House was exactly as described, we had everything we needed. We were a party of 8, two families, and it worked perfectly. Access to the boat ramp was great, and the ride out to the open water was easy. Our 27ft boat was able to be docked behind the house and maneuvering was no issue. Driveway easily fit 2 trucks and trailer. Communication with the host was always easy and quick reply’s. Would absolutely stay again.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful dockside canal-front home! The property was perfect for our needs, offering three spacious bedrooms and two clean bathrooms. One highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the pool, which provided hours of fun and relaxation for the family when the weather was less than ideal. The location is perfect, with the canal right at our doorstep. We enjoyed going out on our boat to explore King's Bay. The outdoor space was well-furnished and ideal for relaxing with the family. Inside, the house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with most of the things we needed for our stay. The kitchen had all the essentials for preparing meals, and the living areas were cozy and welcoming. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed for a smooth check-in and a pleasant stay. Overall, this home exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. We can't wait to come back next year!

My husband and I vacationed at Turtle House for a week. We had our dog Molly with us, and all three of us had a great time! My husband ended up having to work remotely while we were there, but he was able to easily set up office space in the outside area by the pool. The house has everything you need to stay comfortably, and then some. There’s plenty of room in the common areas and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are large. We had a big cooler with us, so the ice machine in the garage was used daily.It’s a short drive to Fort Island Beach, which is very nice. We really enjoyed going to the Homosassa Springs area. There are several waterfront dining options, and monkey Island was also a fun treat. We celebrated our anniversary while we were there, and we found a nice sunset dinner cruise one evening.We have already started discussing our return visit to stay in this house. David was very easy to work with, and always prompt to respond to any questions that I had.

Best vacay house ever!

This house had everything I needed to be on vacation and feel completely content going nowhere. The back yard/patio/ pool area is completely surrounded by a fence so you have almost complete privacy from neighbors. One side of the patio and pool area is screened so you can see one neighboring house from the side. We basically hung out in the back area the whole time. There is a ton of space out there. The kitchen space is very nice as well with plenty of room for multiple people to maneuver around in there preparing food and stuff. The open backyard area with the dock was also fun. We used the available kayaks and paddle boards and launched right from the dock. There is a very minimal tide change there so the current at the dock was minimal. I fell in the water the first day trying to kayak (it had been a while), and was able to climb out of the water back into the dock. Be aware there is no ladder or any steps to get back up the dock or into the yard if you are in the water. I loved being able to throw on my bathing suit and walk out the bedroom to the pool/patio space. We placed quite a few orders through Instacart, and all deliveries came quickly. There is no lack of delivery services in that area. The house was sparkling clean. There is an industrial ice maker and another full size fridge in the garage which was great to have to hold all our beverages lol. A neighbor was even nice enough to take the trash cans to the curb for us on trash day. Rent this house!!
Grilling freshly caught red fish on the Blackstone. Fish were caught on a charter, not the house’s dock, although there were plenty of blue crabs and mullet fish visible in the water throughout our stay.

Great family trip

We enjoyed the pool and the kayaks! The house was great. It was fun to go to the beach or boating on the river, then come home and hang out in the pool or go kayak. The home was great and had everything we needed. I was happy that there was plenty of chairs at the dining room table so we could all enjoy a family meal together. The ice machine in the garage was a great bonus. There was plenty of towels to use for the pool. Thanks for having us!

The property was amazing, house was clean with a very home type feeling to it, an awesome set up for children. My husband and son went fishing majority of the days while myself and daughter ventured out or just stayed by the pool. We brought our boat and kept it at the dock which was a really nice set up as well. Typically going on vacation is draining but the set up of this house made it easy for me. We were even able to cook out by the pool, which was EXTREMELY nice. The owner was responsive to every single one of my questions in a timely manner. The neighbors were nice as well, we Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Very nice house but listing was lacking

We stayed in this very nice house for a family vacation. Loved the pool, the house was clean and the lay out and beds were very nice and suited our family well (2 adults, 2 teens and a child). However, the house was missing things that the listing had said where available. There was no sunscreen, no paper products besides TP, no cooking oil, coolers, one kayak was not there, no dishwasher cleaner. I did have to contact the owners to get check in info. The paddle boards and kayaks are pretty well used and one paddleboard was not usable. We did find 3 cameras on the outside of the property that we couldn’t find listed when we booked. Overall we did have a nice time in turtle house with just a few inconveniences.

Crystal River and Kings Bay

We enjoyed our trip to crystal river, the turtle house was exactly as advertised. David was very responsive by text, but we didnt need him much, the house was well equipped. Crystal River was a nice town that revolves around Kings Bay, the waterfront. Lots of restaurants on the bay and lots of boats for rent in the bay. The natural springs in the area are really nice, and the manatees like them too. You need to get out on the water to truly enjoy this area. Rainbow springs was a nice area to rent kayaks as well. The area is kinda rural, so not as many 5 star restaurants , but plenty of places to eat and the local fish is great. We would have enjoyed the pool more often if it was heated.We have been to florida many times, we enjoyed crystal river, but probably wont return. Kinda rural, did a lot of driving looking for stuff to do, we like more eclectic restaurants.We will probably head closer to sarasota next year and sit in traffic going to those restaurants, choose your poison.

Great location

This is a great location to site see for the manatees and the natural springs. There is not a big beach close by, there is a small park with a small beach which is nice but no pets allowed. Very good restaurants and live music close by. Very nice neighbors in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is nice with lots of room. Pool area is very nice too. Also a bonus that they allow your pet. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to that area.

We grew up in Florida and currently live in High Springs which is a little over an hour from Crystal River. We’ve made many visits to Crystal River and fell in love with the area. It’s been the perfect place for a getaway to do some of our favorite things. We’ve had great times boating, scalloping, fishing, snorkeling, swimming and spending quality time with our family. Owning a house on the water was on our “bucket list” so we’re excited that we’ve been able to buy the Turtle House and can share our love of the area with others.

Crystal River has the laid back unhurried ambiance that we enjoy and we already knew we wanted to purchase a house there. The Turtle House has all the amenities we were looking for and we’re enthusiastic and excited about this new chapter in our lives.

Location, location, location! The house is just a few blocks off of US 19 in a small quiet neighborhood with great neighbors, the public boat ramp is across the street, the water just off the dock is a great place to kayak/ paddle board, and there’s direct gulf access via a short beautiful boat ride.
