Property Description
Watch Hill 225 is a family friendly condo in the Wildernest area of Silverthorne. This 1 bedroom plus Loft, 2 bath sleeps 6. Large windows with mountain and valley views. Near rec path and trails for hiking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing. Mountain views from the living room and deck. Fully-equipped kitchen has a kitchen bar that seats 2. Dining table seats 6. Corner desk work space. Living room has comfortable seating, flatscreen, gas fireplace, free cable and WiFi. Vaulted ceilings make this unit feel very spacious. Near the Summit Stage Bus Stop. Complex has a laundry room in the same building as the unit with coin-op washers and dryers.

Bedding is triple sheeted with professionally laundered linen.
~ Double, Twin Daybed, private bath in master loft.
~ 2 Twins in main floor bedroom.
~ Queen Sofabed in living room.

2 unassigned surface parking spots.

Location
In the winter it's just 20 minutes to Keystone, Copper Mountain or Loveland, 25 minutes to Arapahoe Basin and 35 minutes to Breckenridge or Vail. Only 5-7 minutes to the Silverthorne Factory Outlets, restaurants, brewpubs, breweries, coffee and City Market in Dillon. Walk out your door and back up the driveway to find the paved rec path for walking or biking and National Forest Trails. Hike the trails in the summer and cross country or snowshoe them in the winter.

The free Summit Stage bus stop is near the end of the drive and can connect you to all resorts and towns.

Also an easy drive to: the Blue River for fly fishing, the Silverthorne Rec Center with pools and water features plus state of the art workout areas, the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center for live theater and events, Rainbow Park for play, sledding and outdoor concerts and the Silverthorne Pavilion for weddings and community events.

Loved the fireplace to sit in front of and watch the snow! Need a few more utensils and hot pads. We cook every time we ski to help save money, so kitchen was a bit lacking.

But is it about 10 minutes up a hill that was difficult when it snowed and of course it snowed. I would not stay here again in the winter months.The condo unit is nice and as described, it is just a bit older.

Nice location and ease of access to Summit County , Silverthorne, Dillon.

The bedding needs updating. Also, no washer /dryer in the unit. I guess I assumed there would be one. Windows were slightly open and off the tracks in one bedroom under the blinds and we didn’t realize it until we were freezing cold in one of the bedrooms the next morning. Kitchen does not have a large pot to make chili or soup or spaghetti.

Ski Weekend

We live in Colorado and stay in this area frequently. First, the views and location were fantastic. When we arrived the power cord to the 30+yr old TV was missing. The after hours staff was very friendly, but it took until the next afternoon to get another plug. That's about the only positive feedback I have for this rental. I expected a no frills condo, but it is way overpriced. It hasn't had any maintenance for decades. There was a pot that was literally un-usable due to extreme rust. The unit had damage throughout and no one bothered to shovel the balcony- so we did it for the next guests in case they want to use the grill. I'm not optimistic the grill works though. The condo was cleaned, but due to no maintenance, it's very dingy. The nightly fee has added fees that made this condo over $400 per night. You can find a much better place in the same location for that price or less. We do not recommend this place.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, however, the review is incredibly harsh given the feedback you provided. None of the feedback stated warrants a 1-star review. It is not commonplace for balcony's to be shoveled, nor do most guests choose to grill during the middle of winter when it's zero degrees outside. The presumption that the grill did not work is incorrect. The grill is fully operational. The property's listing photos are an accurate depiction of the property. You stated that there were many maintenance issues, but only noted an issue with the TV, which Summit Resort Group responded to within hours, and a single pot that needed to be replaced. Although many items in the property are dated, there is a difference between dated items and items that are in disrepair. You noted that the property was clean, had fantastic views, and the management company was responsive, and still left a 1-star review.

Reviewer Comments: The follow is what I would expect in a home relatively to a hotel stay: Bed, pillows, sheets, blanket were all quite uncomfortable. No body wash or hand soap in loft bedroom. No coffee. The hot tub was never filled even though we asked multiple times. The code given for the hot tub did not work; this was asked about twice but never got it fixed.Entry requires key which is at a different location. check-out requires returning of key, which is at a different location, requiring guests to judge time to drop off key (this area gets a ton of a snow and some traffic due to being a ski area).overall we were dissatisfied with this place. the owners would be better off not using this property management company.

Yes - we are a small, locally-owned company, so check in and check out is required at our office. We do put this information in our listings, as well as all correspondence so you are not caught off guard. We did reach out to the HOA at this property about the hot tub, twice.

The property has a mountain view, but it needs remodeling; the furniture is a bit outdated. The heating was too hot the first two nights and we couldn't sleep well.

Poor Summit Resort Group experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed in this rental. First, my friend had unexpected surgery so I had to foot the bill myself. I got up at 3 AM to get there around 1 PM, but was unable to get in early after several requests because they claimed the previous renter stayed until 10, the cleaners weren't done, and the inspection went up until the 4 PM sign in time. We got there shortly after 4 to find the condo at 90 degrees which proves we were lied to. The TVs remotes didn't work, you could hardly see through one of the windows, deck had 8" of slush on it to prevent using the grill, and everything was falling apart. I was also surprised they required the garbage be taken out and dishwasher filled by those paying to be there.

We are sorry about your friend. There was always the option of cancelling for a full refund, if you knew about the surgery 2 weeks beforehand. With early check in, this needs to be pre-arranged, as stated in all of our correspondence. You came in to the office several times, and called about this because you were not getting your way. You were quite aggressive with our staff. We did not lie to you about the availability of the unit. Thank you for letting us know about the heating issue - there really isn't a heating issue per se, but it was a warm day, and the sun was beating into the large windows the unit has. We have also checked the grill and "everything" - rest assured, it is not all falling apart. We do require all of our guests to take out the garbage and load & start the dishwasher. Many other rental companies require much more. We are sad you chose to leave a review like this, as this is a great rental unit.

Easter ski trip

We had a great time at the condo. There were no problems and everything was as advertised. It was very close to many ski areas and outstanding restaurants but the best was the view of the Rocky Mountains. AMAZING!! We plan on coming back.

If your going to put the keys in a box why not put a box on the door at the property. Side not the shower curtain down stairs needs to be deep cleaned it has mold spots.

Very nice place with balcony mountain view

Close to downtown, quiet and nice balcony mountain views. Excellent for family with kids too. Would like to try it in the summertime, too.
