We used the property as a hub to be able to go to the surrounding areas. The property was perfect for us. It is located in walking distance to town so it was easy to go out to eat and walk around town.

Great Location

Wonderful stay within steps of Main St. Accessed off the alley, the second floor unit is cozy and comfortable. There are two small balconies that we did not utilize because of significant bird droppings. Unit was clean and well stocked. I enjoyed being able to go on a 4 mile hike/walk from the unit and not needing my car. The Rim Trail is accessed 6 blocks up the hill. Great stay! Host allied us slightly early check in.

Perfect Location

Wonderful location

This place is in a perfect location for walking around downtown Durango for shopping and dining at the local restaurants. It had everything we needed and was super convenient for our stay. The place was immaculate, and the directions were very accurate. Our only complaint would be the noise from the local brewery on the weekend late nights which was no fault of the owner.

Great apartment! location and set up.

I have stayed in many VRBO and or private rentals and this was a great set up. The quality of the place from decor to all that you would need. I would highly recommend and stay here again.

Perfect Location

The location is great! We could go out and explore all day then come home and walk around downtown Durango. The host is very responsive to any questions. Easy to unload our car from the alley, and then there are good directions to the parking spot.

Historic Durango Apartment

Great location, minutes walking to all the great shops and restaurants in downtown Durango. Apartment was just as advertised; cozy and clean. The owner, Lana, was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

Everything You Need!

This little gem is perfectly located, well stocked, super clean and comfortable! Located in the heart of downtown…restaurants, bars, shopping and grocery store are all in short walking distance. Enjoyed the ability to eat out and to prepare meals in the cozy kitchen! Appreciated nice touches, like robes (great to have for the hot springs), as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the spacious bathroom. Communication with owners was easy, they were responsive and accommodating! Really enjoyed my stay and would rebook next time I come back to visit family.

Perfect

A lovely little place. Super clean, comfortable bed, and great location. The owner takest great care in keeping this place neat and tidy. Everything is well appointed tasteful. Simple style, nothing tacky about it. The only thing I would mention that my husband and I didn't love was there is a slight smell of scented laundry. If you are not sensitive to that, then this is absolutely perfect!

Downtown Durango Is A Blast!

Loved everything about it, with one exception. Music from the local bars played well-past 0100 o’clock, interrupting our sleep. This was worst on Friday & Saturday. This is not a reflection on the accommodations, as they were nicely appointed and well-maintained. They were located on Main St at 10th, central to pretty much everything!

Attention to detail.

PERFECT...THIS PLACE IS CLEAN; great location, walk to everything, convenient parking; this place has everything you could need; as my wife and I are both architects, we appreciate a good floor plan and attention to the small details; we liked the door jamb detail, definitely well-constructed and clever; convenient hooks on back of doors, hooks for towels in bathroom, great instructions on using the place such as door keypad codes, printed instructions on walls for light switches, trash, etc.; and very funny coasters, don't forget to read them, the owners have a sense of humor which made us laugh; loved hearing and seeing the steam train nearby from the kitchen window in the morning; and they recycle, that's a good thing too.

Durango disappointment

Communication with the owner was awful. He did not send check in info to the correct email so we did not get in on time. He was not available to answer his phone when we were calling, to busy golfing. He was arrogant and blamed his errors on the customer. The unit had bad WIFi and the AC took forever to cool the place down. The actual unit was clean and very nice If you don't mind dealing with the owner.

We enjoyed being right downtown and able to dine & shop without retrieving our car to go places. The space was clean. We had everything we needed. I appreciated having coffee to get us started as we arrived late. The bathroom was great and met a woman's needs. Mirrors, blow dryer and nice vanity. We would stay again.

The owners are Bobby Duthie, a lifelong resident and lawyer in Durango, and his wife, Lana Duthie who also has been here most of her life. We love to share our space with great people.

We renovated a historic building and added a brand new rental above a new alley garage right in the heart of Downtown and now rent the Penthouse adjacent to the garage apartment (VRBO #1642503) which is across the bridge....and it is really exquisite.
