Imagine having it all in this idyllic location tucked back in woods adjacent to The Nemacolin Resort and close to Ohiopyle, Fallingwater and the many Laurel Highlands activities. Stonehaven is the perfect place to escape from the fast-paced life. This modern yet rustic 6 bedroom, 6 full and one 1/2-bathroom house is perfect for enjoying the outdoors, relaxing and taking in all that the laurel highlands have to offer.

Stonehaven is located right in the heart of the Nemacolin Woodlands resort and 15 minutes from Ohiopyle State Park which offers some of the best whitewater rafting on the east coast, as well as many historic landmarks, including Frank Lloyd Wright's Kentucky Knob and world famous Falling Water. Stonehaven is also close to Fort Necessity, 10 minutes to Laurel Caverns, the Yough Lake and many more Laurel Mountain splendors.

Book a room at the adjacent Nemacolin resort and enjoy the world-class Spa, Golf Courses, Restaurants, and much more! ***With the exception of the Casino and Shooting Academy you must either be a guest of the resort or a member in order to use their amenities. ***

This house was everything we needed for a big group of rock climbers looking for a place that could fit us all. The house was clean and had plenty of entertainment. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this huge house with our family of 6 adults, 5 children and 2 dogs! The 3 King suites were great, furniture very comfortable and well stocked kitchen! We loved the hot tub, the Wildlife Refuge down the road and found out we could use the stocked ponds at Nemacolin to fish! There is soo much to do there, skeeball, indoor basketball machine, pool, ping pong, cornhole and we turned the basketball court into a pickleball/ basketball court which everyone loved! There were a few issues and broken things but upon calling the owner he was very responsive and sent someone out to replace ping pong paddles and fix the skeeball machine and make sure we had everything we needed. Apparently these things arent used much. We did have to clean up the basketball court to use it. The piano is broken and in the garage, not fixable. The house is awesome but could use some landscaping and some love, new cookware etc but we really enjoyed our stay. Its close to Ohiopyle, a Winery/ distillery and coffee shops.

THE HOME IS VERY NICE! LOCATION IS EVEN BETTER. HOWEVER, THE OUTSIDE HAS BEEN SADLY NEGLECTED. UNABLE TO USE THE ADVERTISED "SMOKING ROOM", CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA OVERRUN WITH WEEDS, AND THE ENCLOSED FENCED IN BASKETBALL AREA WAS LARGLY COVERED WITH MOSS DETERING ANY PRACTICAL USE.

Great time with maintenance issues

It’s a great house that needs maintenance of all outdoor amenities. There were housekeeping issues and no comforters or extra blankets for the 3 main beds. The host has never responded.

wedding weekend

We had 15 people for a long weekend then 8 additional guests on the day of our small wedding and reception. It was a beautiful location for an outdoor wedding and the large deck handled the dinner nicely. Plenty of room and beautiful surroundings. The house is stunning inside and was perfect for our group that ranged in age from 3-70..lots to do insid and out as well as plenty of private areas when needed.

Spacious home in lovely setting

We had a group of 16 people (8 children ages 2-9 and 8 adults). The home was spacious and very comfortable for our large group. We enjoyed eating meals together at the large dining room table, playing games, puzzles, s'mores at the fire pit, and most of all the basketball court. We brought a portable pickleball net which was a big hit with the adults. The zoo on site was a pleasant surprise. Ohio Pyle is a great place to visit even in November. We were very happy with this home.

Great for a large family

Beautiful grounds and plenty of room Property could use some attention and updating. Has lots of potential. We had issues with the internet so some of the group were disappointed about this. Owners were helpful and easy to contact.

Everything you want and need... AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!

This home has everthing that you want and need - for an outstanding and memorable trip. Many bedrooms, bathrooms, gathering areas (inside and outside), fire pit, hot tub, stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, coffee makers (several kinds... and plenty of coffee!). Washer/dryer, board games, puzzles - I could go on and on about the rich features of this property. 8 adults and 4 children had tons and tons of room in this home. If the owner allows - I think it could easily sleep 20 - 25 guests comfortably. The property is extremely CLEAN (very important to our family) and the bedding is as comfortable as home. There is absolutely NOTHING that I thought was missing from the home or from our stay. The location adjacent to the grounds of Nemacolin Woodlands resort is outstanding. Plenty of great walks and activities right outside the front door. 15 minutes to OhioPyle - and you can hike, bike, kayak, raft or any other of the great activites nearby. We hired a photographer to take family photos to remember this great trip. If this house is available... stop thinking about it and make your reservation now!

Perfection

We were so comfortable and so thankful for all of the room we had which enhanced our fun and relaxed experience! Ages from 2 to 70 and so nice to have gathering time and alone time! We stayed a week and it was too fast! Gorgeous area!

Beautiful property with lots to do

This property was absolutely gorgeous. So many activities provided to do without having to leave the house. The location was great as we were able to walk through the zoo from the house. Very simple checkin/checkout process. We will most likely be booking this house for our trip again next year!

Wonderful time at Stonehaven

We stayed at this beautiful property for 5 nights and we enjoyed every minute! The home was extremely spacious for our large group yet it still felt so cozy and everyone had their private space. There was so much to do at this home that we were never bored or felt like we even needed to leave the house, although the nearby wildlife sanctuary was such an unexpected and wonderful draw for daily walks. This home was exactly as listed, beautifully decorated, fully stocked, and the property manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The only criticisms that we would give was that the entertainment system on the main floor should be simplified and appeared to be missing some cables, and there were a couple of doorknobs leading to the deck that were loose and seemed not to be able to be locked. These are VERY minor issues that did not affect the overall amazing experience that we had. We highly recommend this property for your next vacation!

Nothing short of PERFECT

Everything about this home and what is offers is absolutely what is presented AND MORE! We had group of 10 adults (and a dog) to celebrate a 50th bday. The bedrooms, furniture, kitchen, supplies, etc were all clean, in good condition and plentiful. We even arrived to a brand new airfryer and coffee maker. We enjoyed the pool table, ping pong, large table to play games, etc. Working with Mark was a dream. He was prompt at replying to questions, very kind and accommodating. My only complaint is having to leave to come home... that's the honest to goodness truth. We will be back! Thank you for a memorable weekend!

Thanksgiving Family Gathering

Our family (3 daughters, their 3 spouses, 4 grandchildren, wife and I) gathered for 5 days (4 nights) at this special property in the heart of Nemacolin Woodlands for Thanksgiving. The home easily accommodated the 12 of us. Each family had their own bedroom/ bathroom and the large kitchen and dining area and living room was well appointed. The basement area was a hit with the grandchildren and the adults alike with well equipped game rooms and theatre. Additionally the outdoor "playground" was special with full court basketball, fire pit, swing set, and whirlpool. Highly recommended this beautiful home especially for large family gatherings.

Great Family Weekend

Our 3 generation family enjoyed a weekend together for a wedding in the area. The home had ample space for everyone to gather with enough space for privacy as well. The accommodations were exactly as represented, the kitchen was well stocked and everything we needed and then some was provided. Great stay I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, especially for a large group.

Wonderful Location and Lots of Room

Stonehaven was a great location to stay. There was plenty of room throughout the house and it is well laid out. The bedrooms were comfortable with lots of space and the bathrooms were large. The kitchen was fantastic, well accessorized with lots of dishes, drinkware and utensils. Appliances worked well. A Keurig and Kcups were provided. The living area was roomy with comfortable seating. The outdoor area was above expectations with lots of seating and a grill (although we didn't use the grill). This house is located in a beautiful and convenient location, close to Fallingwater, Fort Necessity and Ohiopyle and several restaurants. There were plenty of supplies to make for a comfortable stay. The price for Stonehaven is comparable for the immediate area (Nemacolin Resort). However, I think it was a bit high given that it needs a bit of TLC in some places and not all the amenities were fully functioning. We were disappointed that the fireplaces were disconnected (although the nights were cool). There were a few minor inconveniences: we couldn't find any tools to use with the firepit; there were no bathmats for the floors outside the showers in the upstairs bedrooms; the electronics on the games in the basement did not work; we couldn't get the Apple TV to work (no remote) and the internet on the Theater Room TV kept cutting in and out. It would be helpful if there were better instructions for the multiple remotes. One VRBO we stayed in had labeled the light switches which made it much easier to find what switch turned on which lights -- could be helpful at Stonehaven because there are a lot of switches. (Nice that corresponded to good lighting!) Even with the minor inconveniences though, we overall had a great time and would recommend Stonehaven. We were not a large group and enjoyed the ability to spread out in the house. For a family reunion or 3-4 couples this would also be an ideal spot. Check in and Check out were simple and convenient (although there were no keys in the garage lockbox like there were supposed to be). Overall, a great place to stay.

Definitely coming back to this place!

This house slept 18 of us (ages 4 - 84) plus 3 dogs. The house was well equipped and large enough that we all had our own space. The extra fridges in each room and in the garage was helpful with all the food we brought! The basketball court was a family favorite. Being on the beautiful Nemacolin grounds by the animal safari was a definite bonus. And it's a great area so close to Ohiopyle and other sites. We made memories for a lifetime, and we hope to come back again next year!

Perfect place for a family reunion

We needed to find a place large enough to have a family reunion to celebrate our dad/grandpa/great-grandpa's 100th year. This house was perfect for that. The centurion is mobile but uses a walker and the ramp into the house eliminated any steps for entry. The downstairs bedroom and bath made use of the house so easy for him. The large kitchen and living area and back porch were all available for his use with no need to navigate steps. There were plenty of bedrooms to accommodate us all, including a travel crib for a 1 year old. The house is so well stocked we lacked for nothing. There is plenty to do in the area for those who wanted an outing. We couldn't have asked for more!
