Perfect for Alexandria

Visiting family at Christmas. This apartment was perfect for us. Well located for an easy drive into Old Town and DC.

Location Location Location

This is my 4th VRBO this year and true to what I have come to expect - what you see is what you get. I had two 11 year olds with me and where the apt was located was perfect for a walk to the metro into DC - we became experts on the blue and yellow lines . We'd walk along King Street to the Old Town of Alexandria, VA. Shops - we ate in Old Town 2x - took a ghost tour one night - walked along the Potomac. It was great. I was happy I read reviews because a "complaint" was you had to supply paper products/soaps/etc so I stocked up before we left. The apt was very clean and very spacious but had limited cooking supplies. Everything we needed for breakfast was there - coffee maker, blender, toaster, pans but dinner was more of a challenge but I did not come here to cook dinner. Alexandria has so many kid friendly fabulous restaurants to choose from. We did make pasta/salad one night, used the grill (there are 2 of them) down by the pool to prepare a meal and take it back to the apt. There were enough towels but if you are planning to swim to bring beach towels. The washer and dryer came in handy. The property manager was so attentive. I was very pleased - so were the kids. It was a great week.

Nice just not clean

I can't be to harsh, we had to reschedule and they was great on helping. Yet if you stay here. Get ready to clean and wash dishes. Also, bring what you need. Very few dishes. 3 towels and 3 wash rags.

Comfortable stay

This was a nice place to stay. It was clean and airy. Check in was a little off ( dialed the number given to get into building but nothing happened). Better directions before checking in would have been helpful and to let us know where/how to find keys . Host was able to answer though when we reached out. Be sure and bring essentials ( including shampoo/conditioner/body wash) as none provided as well as laundry soap/pods if planning on doing laundry. The apartment itself was very nice.
