Welcome to our Chamonix Chalet! Our house sits in a cul-de-sac, overlooking the forest, with majestic mountain views from the kitchen.
From the oversized attached double garage (multiple benches to gear-up in the morning), walk into the sprawling main open floor with cathedral ceilings. The entrance foyer has a convenient bench to remove your boots, plus hooks to accommodate your guest coats. Over stocked chef kitchen allows you to cook anything (Kitchen Aid mixer, Ninja blender, crockpot, gas stove, etc.); there is a large BBQ on the deck. Cement countertops and a large island with 4 stools make this space very guest friendly. Move onto the large dining table, seating up to 12 (one booster seat available), with benches and chairs.
The living room is centered around the 3-floor high fireplace, with 3 sofas and 2 leather lazy-chairs. There is also a desk nook for your working needs.
Walk-up the grand staircase up to the second floor, where the master bedroom (King) and Family master bedroom (King + 2 singles) have each a full ensuite bathroom. Take the private staircase up the 3rd floor to get to the secluded loft king bed.
In the 10ft ceiling walk out basement, ample natural light make the 2 bedrooms (2king beds + 2 twins) with ensuites feel like a real main floor, which is emphasized by the geothermal in-floor heating that runs through the whole house. The entertainment room has a large sectional sofa, rocking chair and a foosball table. You can access the large hot tub through either the TV room or the large laundry foyer (convenient sink, washer/dryer, benched and beer fridge!). The hot-tub overlooks the forest and surrounded by greenery.

Our house favorites:
- one of the fastest WIFI on the hill
- take the secret path from the back of the house to walk or ski to the Kicking Horse playground/street access to the resort. You will pass a small bridge and a river.
- X-country ski in-out from our back walk-out door
- walk a few meters to access the downhill skiing and main KH resort
- Cedar lake, in any season for hiking, biking, swimming
- TV in every bedroom
- we stock the basement shelf nook with kids games and books

Mountain getaway

Cabin is absolutely beautiful, the kids loved the games and the hot tub. We had lots of room to sprawl out and relax. Kitchen is well stocked with things you need to use for making meals.

Reading Week 2024

A great week skiing with family and friends. Accommodations very spacious and appreciated the ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen was well setup for making meals and eating in. We also loved the great room for reading and the tv room downstairs was perfect for watching Canada win the four nations cup.

Beautiful house for a winter retreat to the mountains.

This rental was seamless, Charlotte was very helpful with any questions we had and very responsive, we had two families in the house and there was plenty of space!

As good as it gets

The property is nothing like a purpose-built rental. This is someone’s well-appointed home. So very much room, so many nice amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

Great spacious place!

Great entertaining space for friends and family. Two garage parking spots which were a big plus! Great entertainment space and it was nice to have a second pair of towels just for the hot tub. Flip flops were provided as well which was a great bonus! Note that all the beds in the house are all single beds that are put together to make kings. I don't believe there were any double beds as it says on the add. Additionally, some of the drains in the bottom bathrooms in the bathtubs and sinks are a bit clogged and drain slowly, but not a huge issue. Charlotte was very nice and easy to get in touch with, with quick responses.

Awesome Accommodations

This home met what we were looking for. We needed a bedroom with a King Bed along with 2 single beds in one room for parents & young children. This home supplied two bedroms like this which was exactly what my family needed. Each bedroom has an on-suite (tub/shower combo) which was perfect. Kitchen had everything one needs. The wood burning fireplace was a must for us & these are hard to find as most rental homes are natural gas fireplaces. We unfortunately could not use the hot tub (which was very disappointing), the owner however tried her very best to get it repaired during our stay. She was excellent at communitcation & keeping us in the loop as to their ongoing efforts to fix the issue. Although during our 5 night stay, the repair was not successful, she did compensate us for that & this was appreciated. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because we were not able to use the hot tub, but that said, Charlotte was a wonderful host & did her best to address the issue and try to have the probelm resolved in the short period we were there. This home is well maintained, lots of rooms & space, awesome living room with 3 couches surrounding the large grand wood burning fireplace, comfy bedding & beds, double car heated garages, we would highly recommend & we would stay there again. Thank you to Charlotte for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home, for providing great communication & doing your best to make one's stay a memorable one.

Lovely, spacious home close to lifts

Two families of 4 shared this property over spring break. It was ideal. Easy to get to and from the mountain for amazing skiing. Kids hung out in games room and adults enjoyed the hot tub. Large 2 car garage for storage. Highly recommend.

Giant Solid house for great family stay.

Huge house for the 6 of us that ended up making the trip. Enjoyed the stay, hot tubs and fireplace. Very well stocked kitchen with lots of spices, etc. House is about 2 min drive from kicking horse entrance, 15 min from golden. The bigger beds are all twins combined. Two bedrooms have multiple beds. Overall it was a great stay, just a bit longer from Calgary than we estimated. Intown recs: enjoyed eleven22 for dinner, the wolf den for a drink, red tomato pie (pizza) & reposados (tacos), white tooth brewing for drinks. Kicking horse has a great little coffee/breakfast shop at base called double black, and eagle eye for fancy sunset (make a reservation). Cheers.

Absolutely Wonderful!

It was exactly what we wanted for our winter get away. The owner took very good care of us. She made sure we had everything we needed and was available. I do have to comment on the number of extra blankets, it was wonderful as my family loves to curl up with a blanket in front of the fireplace! The kitchen also stocked well with what we needed. I can't think of anything that wasn't there, and I don't have any suggestions that would have our stay better. It was wonderful and we'd love to come again.... maybe in the summer!

Great gem nestled in Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

We had booked this property last minute due to another VRBO property cancellation ! Charlotte was a delight to deal with and had check in intructions well in advance !! We where eager to check in and Charlotte was in constant communication with the cleaning staff to get us in ASAP. House was fully stocked beyond expecations with everything one would need to cook from scratch !! Very nice views of the mountains and surrounding neighbourhood The only down fall was no AC hahah with a group of ten family memebers it didnt take long to heat up the house ! The upside is fans are provided Thaks again for letting us enjoy this awesome property to make ever lasting family memories The Glovers

Good. Toilet seats all needed tightening. Purchase new frying pans. Garage floor was dirty and lots of ants. Could use a storage space in kitchen for dry food. Suggest clearing away whiskey boxes for space. That’s where we kept our food. Otherwise the house was nicely layed out. We enjoyed the home.
