This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great. We walked everywhere. There were restaurants within a couple blocks from the apartment. It took about 15 minutes to get to King St where there were multiple restaurants and shops. The apartment itself was perfect for us. They have a gravel lot with plenty of parking. For this particular unit there was a steep narrow staircase that led to the door which had a keyless entry. This was so nice. The unit was clean and the perfect amount of space for our family of four which includes two teenagers. There were two bathrooms with showers and everyone had their own bed. It was nice having the living room with a television which offered another area so we never felt like we were on top of each other. The beds were so comfortable and I appreciated that they had basic toiletries in case you forgot something. Another bonus was the complimentary coffee they had. We had to leave early one morning before any of the local coffee shops were open so this was a very nice touch for us. You will notice the house is very old like most in Charleston, because of that the building is not perfectly leveled. This did not bother us, we knew we were staying in a historic location built on a swamp. As you walk the streets of Charleston you can see how the ground and buildings shift, it’s part of the experience. The property managers were 5 star communicators. There instructions/information were extremely detailed. They were constantly checking in with us

The rental was very neat and tidy. The entry at the top of the stairs was a pleasant surprise, so welcoming and inviting. Only minor issue we had was a fan that came on when the HCVC started. Very, very loud Very close to MUSC what we were looking for

TL;DR: Poor communication, uncomfortable conditions, and excessive humidity. Overall, incredibly disappointed with our stay.I realized after booking that I hadn’t mentioned we were bringing our dog, so I immediately contacted the property owners and paid the required fee. Upon arrival, we found the door unlocked with an AC repairman (very kind) working inside. At no point prior to check-in were we told that maintenance would be happening.After informing the owners of what we’d walked into, I received only an automated reply and then a non-automated response at 2:06 AM. The repairman told us the AC unit in one bedroom would be out of service for our entire stay unless they came back mid-stay to fix it—neither option acceptable, especially with zero advance notice.With that AC unit down, heat and humidity seeped into the rest of the space, leaving it damp, stuffy, and uncomfortable. The main AC unit ran constantly and loudly through the night, making sleep difficult. To top it off, I found burrs/spurs in the “makeup” towels while washing my face.Finally, the listing states there is a “garden,” but in reality, it’s just a large gravel lot. The lack of communication, misleading listing details, and poor condition of the property turned what should have been a relaxing trip into a frustrating and unpleasant experience.

Comfortable, cute and convenient

Great place, comfy beds, close to coffee shop, and a short nice walk to King Street. We watched movies at night, assembled snacks in the nicely appointed kitchen, stopped at a little market nearby for re stocking. Would come back here again, it was just right, made our trip fun and easy to get around in Charleston.

Great place, stairs need work

So starting with the pros:Location! Parking! Neighborhood deli! Floor plan with 2 very nice baths, cute decor, adorable fridge and nice appliances, good AC.Comfy beds, well equipped. Great value. Cons: The stairs are steep, narrow and some spindals were unattached. I would be afraid someone will get hurt sooner or later.

Lovely Spot

Loved this little apartment. 2 bed and 2 bath fit our needs perfectly as a family of 4. Apartment was clean. Nice touch with fresh ground coffee available as well as a washer and dryer in unit. It is on the 2nd story so would not recommend to older adults that would have to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. Plenty of parking and great access to downtown Charleston in under 10 min by car. The AC worked great, the linens were plenty. You have to get your coffee and lattes from Bad Bunnies one block away! All in all would highly recommend and would definitely book again when visiting Charleston.
