This listing is for a PALM COURT villa, at Cocoplum Beach & Tennis Club & Marina, which is one of the 6 villas (Units #5,#6,#7,#8,#9 or #10) behind the BEACH FRONT Villas & surrounding the jacuzzi area with a partial view of the Atlantic Ocean. (only a 1-2-minute walk to the beach and pool area). The exact villa number is provided upon arrival.

Cocoplum sits on a rare Florida Keys beach with a rare zero-edge pool that overlooks both the Atlantic and the sandy shore. It’s an ideal spot for family reunions or two couples traveling together. Enjoy deep-water docks along a protected canal (with water and electricity), a heated swimming pool (heated from Dec 20 to March 30 and is just not necessary at any other time of the year. with ocean views and a jacuzzi. Located at mile marker 54.5 in the central Florida Keys, the property enjoys great year-round weather perfect for fishing, diving, & relaxing in the tropical climate.

Please note: Motorized watercraft, including boats, jet skis, & all motorized toys—are not permitted on the beach. Most guests stay for 7 nights, arriving and departing any day of the week, though shorter stays (3 to 6 nights) may be available on request.

The 2-bedroom, 2-bath vacation home is fully furnished, offering a full kitchen & dining area, a master bedroom with a queen bed, a guest room with a queen & twin bed, and a family room with a queen-size sofa bed (sleeps up to six). Additional amenities include 3 flat-screen cable TVs, a spacious screened porch, & a private laundry room. We include high speed comcast fiber Wi-Fi throughout the property. On the ground floor you’ll find the utility area with washer, dryer, bait freezer and storage. Exterior stairs lead to the main entrance on the first floor (dining, kitchen, balcony), while an interior spiral staircase takes you to the second floor (living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, wet bar). Please note, no elevators are available.

great property. very quiet. beds are comfortable. bathrooms remodeled. good kitchen and dishes are new and clean. very good washer/dryer. pool area also very nice. beach was not useable due to seagrass (august) which occurs nearly every summer. fall thru early spring the beach would be perfect. great screened deck for watching sunrise. beachfront units are less than 100ft from the surf.

Wonderful place to stay

The place was perfect for our family of 4. The beach was pretty but you couldn’t really swim in the water due to the mountains of seaweed washing up every day. I think was likely a bit unusual as it was windier than normal for the time of year we visited. They were doing their best to clean it daily, but it was a losing battle. Sunrise was beautiful. The house was clean and the kids enjoyed the tennis courts. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing place to stay with the family

I love how family oriented this place is. Everyone enjoyed the pool and relaxing by the ocean. My favorite spot was on the porch looking out at the ocean with such a beautiful scenery.

Nice but dated

Location was convenient while stay for our daughter’s wedding. Community was very quiet and kid friendly. Pool was very nice. Beach was not what photos show due to the amount of seaweed. The unit itself needs better beds as they were very uncomfortable. The bedrooms also need better lighting and the bathrooms have no ventilation, making it very hot and humid when taking a shower.

Relaxing beach getaway

We loved the beach and the pool. Lots of lounge chairs and a really large clean pool to relax by. The house had a large screened porch with a view of the water. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Just a note for those travelling with folks with limited mobility, the bathrooms are all on the second floor up a spiral staircase. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and we would definitely return.

Paying for the Beach

I was surprised at the quality of the condo for the price we paid. The property - location, gardens, pool and beach - are the stars here. The condos were built in the 80's of cement and wood(plywood?) and smelled musty on arrival. Every morning we opened all the windows to air out the condo. The structure was unique and had a tree house vibe but quickly got tiresome 1) It felt more like a hut bc most of the outside walls are painted wood, cabinets and other materials are old and inexpensive. 2) the layout didn't work for us and desperately needs an overhaul and an architect to make it all work. The kitchen and family room are on 2 different floors making it difficult for modern living. a) only one person in the kitchen at a time b) both bathrooms are upstairs 3) the first floor is dark due to no windows and lighting is bright white awful 4) the screened in porches are great however they face each other, offering little privacy. There is a "no visitor and quiet policy" (read fine print!)- this is probably the reason for it. Better planning could have given every condo a view and privacy 5) the photos on the VRBO are old and inaccurate, there are no hammocks, no cushions on the outdoor chairs, no beach and pool umbrellas, and no dock for boats or fishing. 6) No streaming. DVD players but no DVDs. These condos could be SO amazing and were probably great in the 80s/90s but need an overhaul for modern family living. Disappointed w/ the "it's a rental" approach.

Our stay was very nice, the unit was clean, the beach was nice and was raked every day. There is very little shade on the beach, however, there is a small cluster of palm trees or you can seek shade by the pool. There was a sufficient amount of chairs, lounge chairs and small tables at the beach, pool and hot tub. Inside the unit, the kitchen is strictly a galley with room for one person at a time. It has two chairs and a table by the entry, and upstairs has a couch and two chairs. Although we spent most of our time at the beach, if there is a rain day this furniture is not comfortable. The walls are paper thin which means no privacy.

Great place. I loved it… girls did not want to swim because pool was cold. We asked to turn it up and it didn’t help even after 7 days with no rain. So yeah. Love the place but in January they need to bite the bullet and turn up the pool.

Located in the heart of the Florida Keys, our property is midway between Key West and the mainland—each just 50 miles away. We’re situated on one of the few beaches in the area, with a pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Marathon offers a peaceful atmosphere, excellent diving and fishing, and warm tropical breezes all year. Our pool is open year-round and heated from late December to March; the climate keeps it comfortable for the rest of the year. With over 35 years of property management experience in the Florida Keys, we provide quality service.

Marathon is considered the heart of the Florida Keys! Go deep sea or backcountry fishing, sailing, diving, or snorkeling at an incredible coral reef, then unwind at nearby restaurants. Key West, known for its vibrant history and endless shopping, is 54 miles south. At least one guest in each group must be 25 years old or older. Maximum occupancy is six per villa, including children; day visitors are not permitted. Only registered guests can use the resort’s amenities, maintaining its intimate character. The resort sits right on the Atlantic beach. The front four units are “Beach Front” (most expensive), followed by six “Palm Court” villas (moderately priced), eight “Key Lime Grove” villas (best value), and finally two “Tropical Island” villas (least expensive), which overlook the tennis courts and are only a brief walk to the beach and pool. Traveling with a large group? Multiple villas can be booked on the same property for extended families, friends, or corporate retreats. Cocoplum is conveniently located 2.5 hours from Miami Airport, 3 hours from Fort Lauderdale Airport, & 55 miles from Key West. The scenic drive passes over 25 bridges connecting the islands of the Keys. The property sits right in the middle, truly the Heart of the Florida Keys.
