Smith Lake Cabin with Pontoon 3 Miles from Town

Welcome to Smith Lake! Recently remodeled 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on Smith Lake with Pontoon and only minutes from town. This property has a nice lake lot that has low elevation and nice frontage. Smith lake is 323 acres with a maximum depth of 31 ft. and specializes in blue gill, crappie, northern pike, large mouth bass and walleye. Smith Lake is a great recreational lake being small enough to not have a lot of traffic but big enough to enjoy all lake recreation. The lake has a very nice Northwoods feel and is close to town allowing for easy access for your needs.

Interior Features- High Speed Internet, WiFi TV with Youtube TV, DVD Player with DVD's, AC and Heat, 2 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, Couch with Hidabed, Gas Stove, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Crock Pot and Refrigerator(Dishes and Utensils included).

Exterior Features- 110' of private frontage, Sandy Beach Area(on right side of dock), Gas Grill, 10x20' Deck with Table, Firepit, Pontoon, 40' Private Dock, On Site Garbage and Recycling.

Boat's- 18' Northwoods pontoon with 40hp Honda 4 Stroke Fuel Injected Motor. Anchor, Depth Finder, 8 Adult life jackets and Throw cushion are included. The Pontoon will be in the water from ice out until October 31st every season.

Clean cabin with pontoon

We enjoyed our time here! The owners were wonderful throughout the process. The cabin was very clean (great lighting) and comfortable. So close to the lake with easy access to the pontoon for fishing and cruising the lake which is easy to navigate. Also very close to town.

Amazing Family Vacation!

We had a wonderful week at the cabin! It was clean, well-maintained, so cute, and had everything we needed. It is close to all the fun things in the area. The hosts' communication was excellent. The use of the boat made it the perfect vacation. We will be back next year!

Cute Cozy Convenient

Just what we were looking for. A beautiful 320 acre lake with good fishing. It's close to town. The cabin is small but all remodeled and located right along the water. It's great to have the pontoon boat included. We'll be back!

North Woods getaway.

Brand new cabin on a great lake. Fishing was a bit slow, but it's early and we found other things to do. Could not be happier with the property.

Newly remodeled cabin on a beautiful lake close to town... with a pontoon boat! We will be back. Jon did a wonderful job remodeling and then preparing the place for our stay. He made everything so easy.

Wonderful view & accomodations, close to Hayward

We loved our stay at this clean and well managed cabin. Our group of 3 enjoyed the comfort and amenities of the cabin. We loved the pontoon and used the fire pit to make S'mores. Lovely setting with all the comforts of home. During inclement weather we took advantage of nearby restaurants and shopping in Hayward. A perfect long weekend for us sisters! Would rent again - Jon the owner was attentive and available for questions. Thank you, we loved it!

Great cabin on a perfect sized lake

The cabin felt brand new - very clean and well appointed. Pontoon worked flawlessly. Although much smaller than Lake Nelson, Smith Lake provided plenty of productive fishing spots - lots of nice sized panfish, bass and northern. Perfect distance to town - got there quick to grab a few things and then back to the serenity of the cabin. Very worry-free vacation! Thank you, Jon

Great Place

Cozy, clean cabin with everything you need. Owner was super easy to work with. He answered questions and addressed concerns quickly from before booking through our stay. Always kept his word. Would be happy to work with this owner again. Boat worked great for us. Caught panfish, northern, walleye, bass. Golf courses and town conveniently close. Hike to St. Peter's Dome and Morgan Falls 1 hour drive, but well worth it. Had a great time, just not ready to come home after just 1 week!

Nice cabin…good fishing!

We had 4 family members all over age 60. The place was a bit smaller then expected as we could not all relax and watch tv together at night. There just isn’t available seating. The only other small thing is it would be great to have a screen door. We really had to work on fly control! But we had good fishing and great Star watching. Thank you…would recommend and thanks for the use of the pontoon!

We had the most amazing time the cabin was so clean and all new updates with everything on site for cooking grilling etc directly on the water and the pontoon was an amazing plus the weather wasn’t great but that’s expected this time of year the beds were so comfy to and the owners were so sweet ! We will 1,0000% be back again !

Our family stayed here for 4 nights in the summer. It was just big enough for our family of 5. We enjoyed the convenient location, a few minutes from Hayward with access to things to do, eat, and see. We also enjoyed the quiet, peaceful lake and easy access to water. The kids (ages 5, 9, 11) had fun at the public beach on the south side of the lake as well. We also checked out the nature trail by the public library down the road, and would recommend that to younger families or anyone who enjoys nature.The pontoon worked great, we fished numerous times during our stay. We even made a day trip to Duluth during our stay. Communication with Jon and Andrea was excellent, we would stay again. Thank you for a memorable family vacation!

Growing up in a small vacation town in northern Minnesota I have always enjoyed the Northwoods lifestyle. After moving to the twin cities I realized that I needed a getaway which led me to the Hayward area. After enjoying the area for years we loved it so much that we decided to live here full time. This property is one of my favorite and has just a great feel to it. I hope your family will like this property as much as we do, and that it brings you and your family great memories.

This property is one of the original Smith lake Resort Cabins that we have brought back to life. It is on a great lot, great lake and has awesome views. I believe anyone renting will fall in love with the cabin and lake. Being close to town makes it a quick easy task to go in for supplies.
