Regarding the water smell, we have a very expensive water treatment and filtration system in place at this home. Under normal circumstances the water is clean and odor free. If there was any noticeable smell when you arrived, we really wish we would have heard from you right away. That typically means something simple was not functioning correctly, and we could have addressed it quickly during your stay. We also want to note that the guests before and after your visit, along with the majority of past reviews, have not reported the types of issues described. Sandy’s Beach House is an older, classic Northwoods cabin, and the pricing reflects that. It is not advertised as a luxury remodel, but it is intended to be clean, comfortable, and a strong value for families wanting to be right on Lac Courte Oreilles. That said, we never dismiss guest feedback. We will still review the linens, carpets, kitchen items, and overall condition with our cleaning and maintenance teams to make sure everything is up to our standards. If anything was overlooked, we will correct it. We truly work hard to provide a great experience at a fair price point, and we appreciate you bringing concerns to our attention.
