E Komo Mai, Welcome to The Makahuena 4205!

“The Makahuena” is located on the southernmost point of Kauai. This unique oceanside resort is situated on the edge of a bluff providing spectacular coastal views. This 2-bd/2-ba is a single-level condo on the second story of the building, walking up stairs is required. Primary bedroom is furnished with California king size bed and ensuite bathroom, guest bedroom has two twin size beds (can be converted to king bed if requested in advance), full guest bathroom with shower/tub combo. Kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, Sapele Mahogany cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. You will find a portable A/C in guest bedroom and living room to make your stay more comfortable. ***Construction Notice: There is active construction occurring on the neighboring property, and may cause noise or partial obstruction to the existing island and ocean views. Rental rates have already been adjusted to reflect a competitive rate.***

Quite place with great views

Stayed for a long weekend and the place was everything we needed. The apartment was clean and had all the essentials we needed for our stay. The property was easy to access and had ample parking. The access to the coast and the nearby beaches was great and an amazing way to start and/or end the day.

Perfect place

Fantastic property. Has everything you need. Comfy beds, comfy couches, big bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, lovely decor, great stereo system with provided CDs to keep you in the Hawaiian mood, incredible ocean views and tennis/pickle ball/pool and hot tub amenities are excellent.

Lovely Condo on the water

We loved our stay at the condo. They also had beach supplies which helped so much! My son especially appreciated the boogie board. Would definitely stay again next trip.

Nice appartment with everything you need

Nice appartment with everything you need for a nice vacation in the south shore. The appartment was stacked with everything you need. The beach is 15-20 minute walk.

Great location

Very enjoyable stay. Close to beach and fun restaurants and activities. Sunnier side of the Island. We even met locals that live in the complex that were great. Would return!!

Great Place in Poipu

This was a fantastic property, ideally situated in town that provided a great home base for the trip. The unit is clean, has all the necessary trappings of home and has a peaceful view of the nearby ocean. Our family of 4 was very comfortable and would happily stay here again.

Great Stay

We had a lovely stay near Poipu at Makahuena. The condo was spacious, clean, and conveniently located. We could easily walk to both Poipu and Shipwreck Beaches. The kitchen was well stocked. The ocean views and sounds of the crashing waves were great. We even saw whales in the distance on our first morning.

Comfortable stay

The condo was clean, had all the amenities, and was close to everything in the area. Loved the strong ocean breeze. Beds were comfortable. A very nice quite place, beautiful view, had everything we needed .

Sun rise by the sea.

This place was all it was described as. The sound of the ocean as we slept and the sun rises were incredible. Enjoyed the pool and a beach close by. We could easily explore the whole island from here. Very much enjoyed our stay.
