Beautiful 4800sqft Year-round log cabin on a clear unobstructed view lakefront lot with 200ft shoreline and 2 docks. Public boat ramp 600 feet from doorstep. Unload your toys and drive them up to your private shoreline docks.

Very low-key private road with only several homes on the road. Enjoy the serenity of the lake from the back yard fire pit to the oversized porch with a morning cup of coffee. There is fishing, swimming, water skiing, hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice-skating, four wheeling, bicycling, trail walking or just hang out in the big backyard playing horseshoes, volleyball, corn hole, croquet, Frisbee, sunbathing, cookouts just to name a few.

Enjoy the beautiful sunrises, seeing the bald Eagles, hearing the sound of the Loons.

The home itself offers 5 bedrooms,.3 bathrooms, well equipped Kitchen, a small gym, and a bar area with games to keep everyone entertained (shuffleboard, bowling, Foosball, darts, arcade Pac man, bumper pool/poker table). Looking for a quiet area? How about enjoying our Library with many styles of books to choose from with cozy chairs and blankets to curl up in. Or maybe just hang out together in the great room with the warm cozy wood stove.

Our guest will receive a STARTER set of essentials. We do our best to make sure your arrival goes smoothly. The supplies will not last you a full week.

When we arrived we were greeted by Michelle and James (they were so nice) showed us around, even grabbed us some wood on their way up! Probably nicest people we’ve ever rented from. The house was awesome our group travels every new year looking just to cook and hang out, this house was perfect! Kids loved sledding down the hill on side of house and making snow angels on the frozen lake.The kitchen was fully stocked there was folding chairs , a folding table high chairs. We spent the evenings in the living room watching movies by the wood stove while guys hung out shooting darts in basement. Bedrooms were roomy and lots of extra blankets pillows etc. I honestly don’t think there’s anything that we were missing here. We loved our stay and will DEF be returning thank you Michelle and James for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful house! Very well equipped kitchen. Multiple grills and eating spaces! Great for a large group. Fabulous screened in porch with wonderful view of the pond.

Amazing family lake retreat

My family and I had a wonderful time (4 adults + 3 children). The place is beautiful, there was plenty of room for a large family and there's so much to do, we wish we had more time.

Great summer vacation on great / quiet lake

Our group, comprised of 4 adults and 4 kids aged 7-10, had an awesome week at the house! House, yard and lake were exactly what we were looking for. Michelle and James were great hosts and extremely responsive anytime we had a question.

Nice space for big family. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Hosts were very attentive to making sure our stay went well. Lovely setting, lots of outdoor and indoor options. Great place to spend a relaxing vacation!!

Great time !

Great experience with my family. We enjoyed fishing , boating and floating around on tubes all week long. The house has everything you need to make you feel right at home.

Beautiful log cabin on the lake

Renting this property could not have been easier. Michelle was quick to respond to any question. The house is beautiful with lots to do both inside and out.

Beautiful setting, fantastic house

This house was amazing and perfect for our group of friends for the weekend. Everything was as pictured or even better. Takes a bit to get there but well worth it. Loved everything in the house and wished we had more time to enjoy it all. My favorite was sitting out on the dock looking at the view and just relaxing. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Lots of amenities and very comfortable even for a bigger group without feeling too crowded. Would love to stay again!

Well equipped log home

This home on the water has everything you would need and more. The water toys are amazing. Fishing was great off of the 2 docks. Even on a rainy day it was no big deal because inside the house there are plenty of entertaining things to do. This house is a hidden gem. Michelle and James are amazing host’s. We can’t wait to stay again.

Sunappe ski vacation

We had an excellent time at this beautiful home. We go yearly on a extended family ski trip. This year who chose New Hampshire because is the freshman at Plymouth state University. Although it was a 1/2 an hour was to Sunappe the drive was easy. Absolutely loved your house. We enjoyed game room/ bar the most. Thank you for your beautiful home. My favorite ski house in the past 14 years!!

Great family gathering

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The kids had a blast being able to all be in one bedroom. Space was amazing. I would state that for a house this size (close to 5,000 sq. ft.) there should really be a couple of dehumidifiers in the lower level of the home. Especially since there is a lot of rugs. Also a house this size could use another set of hands with the cleaning.

Incredible house and location!!!

Michelle and James have thought of everything for this house. It has everything you need. Very well stocked. They were so accommodating and communicated right away to make our winter wonderland stay with our family an amazing experience. Its something we'll never forget. Thank you for sharing it with us. Peaceful and relaxing

Comfortable house, on a wonderful body of water. The kids love the bunk beds! Owners are communicative and helpful. Plenty of things provided to amuse us on rainy days, and when the weather is good we can swim and kayak. Ashuelot has lots of nooks and crannies to explore, the wildlife is abundant, the fishing is excellent. There is a really sassy chipmunk living in the lawn, who stole apples and chips right at our feet. Love it.

A Momma Bear Hug

Lot's of bear motifs and a very outdoorsy feel on the inside. Still, very cozy and accommodating. The game room was a big hit for the teenagers. They spent most of their free time there. The couches in the living room were wondrously comfortable and a great place to snuggle down in front of the fire. Overall, the property is very well kept, a noticeable attention to detail and has much to offer. We are considering it for a larger family gathering over the summer.

Fantastic Family Vacation !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mama Bear lodge. The view from the house and backyard were beautiful. We were more than pleased with the amount of kayaks, water floats, life jackets, paddle boat and the canoe available for our use. We also enjoyed using the outdoor fireplace to cook on, and eating dinner in the netted gazebo. The yard was spacious for our kids to run around on, and they enjoyed the provided kiddie pool. The house itself was spacious. The furniture was really comfortable and we loved the rustic feel. The house was stocked with games, a pack and play and high chairs for little ones.

Great stay at Mama Bear with family

A big thank you to James and Michelle for being wonderful hosts. They really try to consider everything that a family may need and want. The property is well stocked with a variety of toys, games and various supplies and size of the house allows for large groups to come together but still have space for people to decompress and have a quiet moment. The pond is beautiful and there were many ways available to us, to experience and appreciate it. For groups of 10-12, this is a great option to consider. We all had a great time and it is especially perfect for kids. Thank you

Great waterfront location

The property was big and provided adequate space for our family of 10, 4 kids(12-15yrs) and 6 adults. Kayaking was great around the pond. The yard was big and allowed for outdoor games and space for the kids to run around. The dock was great for jumping into the pond. The outdoor eating area was also a plus to continue enjoying the outdoors being on the waterfront. I really liked the fact that the pond was very quiet and peaceful. Everyday we got to enjoy views of the eagle catching fish and the loons swimming around and calling. The downstairs game room was also great and provided much entertainment.

Amazing family vacation

This house is perfect for a large family vacation. Everything about it fit our needs. Comfortable and beautiful to boot! We are all about being together, hanging out and playing games. The openness of the main area floor plan gave us that. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would ever need. Everyone was so happy with the bedrooms. Our favorite part of staying here was the time we spent hanging out on the dock and floating around in the water. The paddle boards and kayaks were a pleasant bonus. I would recommend this house to anyone And we are looking forward to coming back next year! Thank you Michelle and James!

Cozy but spacious log home at the lake

We loved our stay at Mama Bear lodge! It was perfect for our group 8 adults, 4 teens) and we had a great time hiking, skiing, building fires, cooking, watching movies and enjoying time together. The house was clean and had everything you need, both in the kitchen as the bathrooms as the playroom and gym! We loved the festive decorations and Michelle (homeowner) was very responsive. Even doing the dishes together (there’s no dishwasher in the house) was a fun activity for some. If you are a tall crowd (like us) note that the beds are fairly small. Fortunately we all liked snuggling up. Alltogether, we’ve had a great time and would recommend this rental at the lake!

Amazing Family Vacation!

This property is perfect for a family who enjoys water activities - kayaking, waterskiing, swimming and floating. The dock was perfect for our motor boat. We enjoyed nightly campfires, lawn games (provided), and eating dinners in the screened in gazebo. The house is very spacious (11 of us - youngest 17 years old) had lots of room. The house is very clean and equipped with tons of board games, puzzles, and a full game room downstairs for additional fun! We caught very big large mouth bass from the house shore. Michelle and James are gracious hosts. This annual extended family gathering (for 17 years now) was one of the best!! We would highly recommend this property for a relaxing and fun filled vacation!

Peace on the Lake!!

We try to get together with family once a year and a lake vacation is our go-to destination. Mama Bear house was perfect!!! It has so many amenities that you cannot count. The lake is beautiful for swimming, boating, fishing and just hanging out. In bad weather the house is stocked with games, tv's and space!! Great for just being together. There is a boat, paddle board or canoe for everyone. More than you could ever need. The home also has a very well stocked kitchen. Just Bring food... It is a very quiet lake, which was perfect for our family of 12 to just enjoy the time away. Great Home!!!
