Welcome to The Birches Lake House, a family-friendly retreat right on the lake. Spend summer days swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding, and enjoy sunsets from your private dock. In winter, hit the slopes just 2 minutes away at Mount Sunapee. With spacious living areas, modern comforts, and stunning lake views, this unique home offers plenty of room for the whole group to relax, play, and create lasting family memories year-round.

Welcome to The Birches Lake House!

Our cozy lakefront retreat sits right on beautiful Mountainview Lake, just 2 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort. You’ll love the peaceful views, private dock, and the small shallow beach area that’s perfect for little ones to play safely.

The home features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a newly renovated second floor — formerly the attic — now converted into two charming themed rooms. The renovation adds even more space for families and groups to relax and enjoy time together.

Inside, there’s a spacious dining table that seats up to 10, perfect for family meals and gatherings. We provide kayaks and paddleboards for you to enjoy on the lake (please note, fishing equipment is not provided). You’ll also find life jackets in various sizes stored in the outdoor storage bin near the beach area for your safety and convenience.

You’ll have access to a washer and dryer — compact units, but convenient for light laundry. Please note, there is no dishwasher in the house.

Outdoors, you’ll find a dining table and a gas grill, perfect for enjoying lakeside meals. A propane tank is provided for your use. There’s also a fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars — just bring your own firewood.

Parking is available right in front of the house and can accommodate 3–4 cars.

• Master Bedroom (first floor) – 1 Queen bed, 1 Twin bed, and a private full bathroom
• Guest Bedroom (first floor) – 1 Queen bed
• Guest Bedroom (second floor) – 1 Full bed
• Themed Room 1 – 2 Full beds
• Themed Room 2 – 1 Full bed

The house has a private parking area (4 cars).

You will have access to Mountainview Lake.

There are lifejackets, kayaks, and paddles for you to use. Please put everything you take out back to the original place after each day of use.

Pet(s) friendly house with an additional pet fee. $100 per stay for up to 2 dogs
The third dog will be an additional $100 per stay.
The maximum number of dogs we allow is 3.
Cats are not allowed because some people are allergic to them.

****** Extra Guest Fee******
The extra Guest Fee is $35 per person per night

***** Additional House Rule *****
• There are no launching boats or jet skis at the house.
• Please leave used sheets on the beds so they can be stripped and washed after checkout.
• Please try and conserve towel use by reusing towels if possible. Used towels should be left in the bathroom on the floor before checkout to distinguish used towels from unused towels.
• Please bring the trash to the dumpster we own. It is about 2 minutes walking distance, or 1 minute driving distance, from the house you are staying. You can check the last picture in the rental website listing to find the dumpster location. No need to separate the recycling. All trash will get sorted for recycling.
• Please take all food out of the fridge and freezer and please make sure all garbage is disposed of before leaving.
• Dishes used should be placed in the dishwasher and set to wash before leaving.
• Before ordering or having any packages shipped to the residence please check with hosts first.
• There is absolutely no smoking inside the house.
• There are absolutely NO PARTIES ALLOWED
• There are NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED
