Five minutes from the Canal Saint Martin and the Faubourg Saint Denis, a stylish, airy writer's home, filled with books, art, and plants. Recently renovated, furnished with a mix of modern and vintage, the flat is striking and homey at the same time.
Spacious and comfortable (70m2), flooded with light, with a beautiful view over the neighboring Haussmannian buildings and the nearby Eglise Saint Laurent, 5th floor (elevator).
The flat is composed of a large master bedroom with a queen sized bed, a smaller bedroom with a crib (which could be equipped with a single bed instead of or in addition to the crib), one bathroom, living room/dining room, and open-plan kitchen. We love to cook so our kitchen is equipped with everything you'd need to prepare your own meals at home. There is a washer as well as a dryer.
Our apartment is chock full of books. I'm a writer and this is my working library; you'll find everything from books about Paris (including a few helpful guidebooks) to French theory (in case you fancy reading some Deleuze by the canal) to the latest fiction and non-fiction.
There is also an electronic piano, with weighted keys and a sustain pedal.
The neighborhood is very central; you can walk most anywhere from here, but if you prefer to take the metro we're not far from Gare de l'Est (lines 4, 5, 7), where many buses stop as well. We're in between the Canal St Martin with all its bars and restaurants and shops, and the Faubourg St Denis which is a traditional French market street.
I've been hosting in Paris since 2011 so I have a good sense of what guests need - but please don't hesitate to send questions and/or requests.
