Newly Constructed Modern Farmhouse on Paw Paw Lake

Located on the thousand acre Paw Paw Lake, our new construction custom six bedroom, 5.5 bath vacation rental has a number of amenities for everyone in the family to enjoy while living lake life. The property boasts a 100 foot dock, a large yard for family games, a hot tub, gas grill, multiple private decks overlooking the lake, a fire pit and lake toys for use.
The house is 4 levels. The first level is a walk-out basement that is the prime movie and sports watching room in the house with an 85" flat-screen TV and a massive sectional. In the winter time you'll stay cozy down there with the radiant heated floors. It also includes one of the five full bathrooms, an exercise room, a laundry room with 2 sets of washer/dryer, extra table seating at the bar table and an extra refrigerator/freezer for additional beverages.
The main level is an open concept living, dining and kitchen featuring a large, fully stocked chef's kitchen with a 36" Wolf Range, a 9' island that seats 5, a dining table that seats 10, a gas fireplace, a powder room and one of two Master Suites. There is a balcony off of this level that has stairs for easy lake access. It also has outdoor dining for 8 and some seating to relax and take in the views.
The 2nd level is the bedroom level with 2 beautiful lake-facing king size bedrooms, one of which is the second Master Suite. The 2 lake-facing bedrooms share a huge balcony that is perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and a book. The 2nd floor also includes another full bathroom, a bunk room that sleeps 4 and a queen bedroom.
The Attic floor features a billiards room with an additional gaming area (with Sony PlayStation included) for kids, a queen bedroom, a full bathroom and 2 twin daybeds. There is also some "office space" with 2 desks and a wi-fi printer.
There is so much to do and see in the area. From local fests and farmers markets to St. Joseph Silver Beach and shopping 15 minutes away. Local restaurants and bars and breweries and wineries all within 10 minutes. Paw Paw Lake has a golf course and there are several more in the area. There is a large children's park nearby just off exit 39 on your way to Paw Paw Lake as well as fishing charters, canoe/kayak and boat rentals nearby. During the winter months there are several nearby ski resorts. There is a sled hill in Watervilet and several snowmobile trails in the SW Michigan area.

This is the second stay for our family at this property and the home was just as wonderful as we remembered. The house is beautifully maintained and equipped with EVERYTHING one might need-including a pack and play crib, foldable highchair, a wealth of spices in the kitchen and an additional closet filled with small kitchen appliances. We enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities, like the kayaks and the lily pad. It is also really nice having our own stretch of beach. The owners continue to be responsive to email questions and accommodating our needs. For example, they moved around their boats to allow us the opportunity to bring a boat and rent a pontoon to make the most of the water access and the active lake. I really enjoyed the bed! The pillows were like clouds and the bedding sooooo soft and cool. There is sooooo much room, so no one felt like we were on top of others. While we didn't necessarily spend time inside, there were a lot of indoor activities available to guests. This home is the perfect place to rest and connect. It was also the BEST place to introduce our grandson to Lake Life!

Great Home

We stayed at this beautiful Paw Paw Lake home in Coloma, Michigan, with our entire family — my wife, our three daughters and their spouses, and our six grandchildren — and it could not have been more perfect.The house is exactly as described: spacious, modern, and meticulously clean. The kitchen was a chef’s dream, with high-end appliances, an amazing selection of spices, quality pots and pans, and both a large Weber grill and a Weber smoker. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the open layout with a huge kitchen, family room, and game room made it easy for everyone to relax together.The owners were wonderful — quick to respond to any questions and thoughtful enough to provide a detailed guidebook for operating all the appliances. Paw Paw Lake itself is beautiful, with plenty of space for boating, swimming, and relaxing by the water. The location is also close to Lake Michigan’s gorgeous beaches and great restaurants.This home was the perfect setting for our family gathering, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. We highly recommend it and would love to return

The water access, area, and home were beautiful! We had perfect weather our whole stay and the balconies, outdoor dining set, and fire pit were awesome. We had lots of little humans with us and there were plenty of beds. We did have some guests with some mobility limitations and the stairs were not the best choice for our party personally and the open stairwell from basement to top floor allowed sound to carry more than we anticipated sometimes causing issues with the kiddos on the top floor going to sleep. The sound system through the house and open space was perfect for family time together. We also loved the kayaks, paddle boards and water carpet and rented a pontoon from power sports nearby. There was quite a bit of lake plants grown up around the dock but we still got in the water every day and took some day trips to Van Buren state park to enjoy Lake Michigan too. Beautiful home. Very responsive hosts.

Absolutely beautiful home! This was our second year here and Julie doesn't miss one detail for her renters. The house is stocked with all that you can think of and she is quick to responding always. The beds are comfy and the house is spacious and just gorgeous! She even has beach towels , kayaks, paddle boards, and more for our use! We just had the best time! No needs to bring a thing- it's there !

Excellent lake front option

This is the third year my extended family has stayed in this house on Paw Paw Lake in the summer. We love it. There is plenty of room for everyone and the owners are extremely reponsive and helpful. The property is lovely; well maintained, well stocked and in a great location. We will defintely be back!

Wonderful Lake Home

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful lake home. We used all four floors & had room to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing different kinds of meals. Julie & her husband were very helpful when we had questions. We all had a great time!

Excellent Lake House

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this lake house for our family reunion. We had family aged 2 to 74 and everyone had plenty of space. The home comes as advertised for comfort and amenities. The setting on the lake was beautiful. Communication with the host was excellent. Would highly recommend this home.

Wonderful family vacation on Paw Paw Lake!

Our family of 13 members ranging from 3-72 had an amazing week at the property. Everything was as described - the downstairs space was amazing for the five kiddos (3-11) and there was plenty of space outside/inside to relax for the adults as well. The kitchen has every appliance you might need and the bedrooms were so comfortable. The host communicated throughout the stay and gave recommendations for boat rentals (which was so easy and great to be able to dock the boat for a few days at the house!)The space was perfect for what we needed - highly recommend for any family!

Gorgeous Lake home

Six adults and ten kids (5-14) and this house still felt spacious and inviting! We did not get to enjoy the actual lake as we had a winter stay, but the fireplace, hot tub and the inside spaces were so nice that we didnt miss it!

Terrific Experience

Our group included 4 adults, 5 kids, and my mom who has limited mobility and eye sight. The master on the main floor was perfect for her as it gave direct access to all things. The house was extremely clean and is the first house we have stayed where we could see ourselves living. Each bedroom was large and the bathrooms felt brand new. The layout of the house was great for our group and the 4th floor added a great area for the kids to hang out at night. Similiarly, the lower level added a great place for the adults to hang out at night. There are two large decks of the main and 3rd floors, providing great views and ways to interact/watch the kids.The back yard is well landscaped and there is plenty of room to play. The fire pit are is great, clean and organized. The deck provides easy access to swiming and was great to park our boat and jetski. There were kayaks available as well as other toys/games/etc. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. We highly recommend and look forward to our next stay.

Ideal Family Vacation

We’ve been vacationing in southwest MI for 15 years and have never been so thrilled with a home and location as much as we have with this property. The beautiful home is well designed for large families (sufficient sleeping accommodations for kids, teens and adults; spacious, well appointed kitchen; indoor and outdoor gathering spaces). The lakefront property and pier provide convenient access to the water, not to mention a lovely view from the deck! The large expanse of lawn offers plenty of space for outdoor recreation (volleyball, frisbee, badminton, etc.). The owner is extremely helpful and responsive. Truly ideal all around!

Annual Lakehouse Trip

This was my third stay at this lakehouse. We had an extended family with 12 guests and everyone loved the property! The interior is spacious and very accommodating and the flat lawn leading up to the lake is great for yard games, swimming, etc. The hosts were very welcoming and easy to communicate with! We highly recommend this property!

Wonderful property

This is the second year in a row my extended family has rented this house for a summer lake vacation. The house is beautiful, fully stocked and always clean. It is big enough to comfortably accommodate 4 families and has lots of activity options for kids and adults. The owners are very friendly and reaponsive. They went above and beyond this year bringing in more sand for the beach during our stay after a huge storm watched some of it away. We definately hope to secure a spot at this house for next summer!

Beautiful house on an ideal part of the lake

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. The house was perfect for our four families with the kids having lots of choices of rooms to bunk together and there being lots of outdoor entertainment spaces. The house is well stocked for outdoor activities and making meals. The hosts were responsive and very accommodating. We love Paw Paw lake and this house was situated in quieter bay where my group found the fishing to be excellent and the kids enjoyed the beach and swimming off the dock. We are looking forward to staying at this house again!

A Christmas Tradition Born

From the time I booked the property communication with the owner was excellent. Due to winter blizzard and likelihood of having to risk unsafe travel conditions host was extremly accommodating. The home was decorated festivly based soley on are request. The home is beautiful and spacious allowing us to have family activities as well as adult and teenager time. Truly beyond are highest expectations. We are looking forward to making this are Christmas Family Tradition! The Hooker Family

We are Mike and Julie Rothweiler. We live in Chicago (Bucktown/Logan Square area) with our 2 children who are in middle school. We've always dreamed of having a lake house as a way to make life-long memories with our family and friends and hopefullyu keep our kids close to home as they become adults with their own families someday. ;-) This house was built starting in Jan 2018 and completed in October 2020.

What attracted us to this lake was its size at 900 acres, its proximity to the beaches of Lake Michigan and all the nearby wineries and breweries and fresh produce stands. The lake is spring fed and is an all water-sports lake. It's also a fishing lake with a variety of fish including Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Yellow Perch. There is a Yacht Club, a golf course and a restaurant located on the lake.
