Cozy lakeside cabin

The property was beautiful with a view of a lake. Very clean and comfortable. Convenient to west entrance of Yellowstone. The hosts have done a great job making this a nice place to stay.

Great place to stay 25 minutes from West Yellowstone

Only 25 minutes from West Yellowstone! 10-15 minutes from the Madison River, Montana which is great trout fishing. 20 minutes from Quake lake. I would definitely stay again. The owners gave me suggestions on places to fish and were very friendly! The kids said “this is nicer than our house.”

Great base for West Yellowstone

We had such a great stay here, none of us wanted to leave! We drove into Yellowstone via the West entrance 3 days in a row. The cabin is located outside of West Yellowstone and is very private, with the owner living in her house on the same property. Owner is very friendly and helpful, not intrusive at all! The property was extremely clean, well stocked with condiments, coffee, personal care products, etc and is a newer build. Expansive views and pleasant sitting area near grill. Super comfy beds and pullout sofa! Plenty of bedding and kitchen appliances/cookware. Also loved having the full size washer and dryer. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Felt like Home

We wished we would had more time to enjoy the property and the views. We had a nice small welcome pack waiting for us and the check-in and check-out was very easy . The drive to Yellowstone NP is about 20 minutes

Family vacation to Yellowstone

We cannot say enough positive things about Hassing Hillside Hideaway. Just a 20 minute drive from the West Yellowstone entrance which we did not mind at all to be away from the busy downtown area. And the killer views of the mountains and Henry’s lake are well worth the extra few minutes drive. The house has an outside grill and a lovely outside dining area to sit and enjoy you morning coffee or a beer at the end of a busy day of hiking. The house itself was impeccably clean. The owner is very detail oriented and the house had everything we possibly needed and a welcome basket with a small cooler bag and snacks for hiking. The beds were very comfy. My family of 5 (3 young adult children and my husband and I) had plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home instead of eating out. Overall a terrific stay. Thank you Fran for sharing your home with us !

Wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2023 along with our 12-year-old daughter. The property is 30 minutes from the West Yellowstone entrance. The hosts are on the same property, and they simply thought of every detail to make this VRBO cozy, cute, and comfortable. The cabin is well stocked with supplies as well as guidebooks and brochures. Downstairs is a small kitchen and a table with six chairs, a laundry nook, a full bath, and a bedroom. Upstairs is a living room and another bedroom. Both bedrooms have closets and plenty of hangers. Outside is a grill (which we used twice) and a private seating area with a table and chairs for six, with beautiful views of rolling hills, mountains, and a lake. Beautiful! Each time I texted the host to ask a question, she replied within just a few minutes. This morning when we left the property, I texted her to let her know that we were leaving and that we enjoyed our stay very much. About 30 minutes later, she texted me back saying we had left some clothes in a drawer in the downstairs bedroom, and she offered to mail them to my home. Well what I left behind was all my underwear, and I need that for the rest of our vacation, so we turned around. I appreciate her quickly discovering we had left items behind and her offer to mail them to me. Wonderful people!

Beautiful views and a wonderful place to stay

Nice and a view

Good location relative to Yellowstone, 20 minutes to west entrance. Out and away from crowded areas. Nice and clean apartment style accommodations. Hosts are next door and very helpful. I would stay here again if returning to visit Yellowstone.

Beautiful property

The house was great and the property was amazing. We loved having a drink on the porch overlooking the lake and valley at the end of the day. The place has a nice personal touch and the hosts were very accumulating.

Nice location, thoughtful hosts

We enjoyed our month-long stay at Fran and Kerwin’s cabin. They live on site and are friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and well stocked, with lots of thoughtful touches and amenities. Check-in and check-out were easy, and all communication was prompt. The location is beautiful. We did lots of walking straight from the cabin, as well as fishing and hiking both nearby and a little farther afield. Plenty to see and do in the area, and Fran and Kerwin’s cabin serves as a great base!

PERFECT

This is by far the most fabulous VRBO I have ever rented. Fran’s communication was great and being on property was an added unexpected perk. We enjoyed having a friendly wave in the morning. There are several outside sitting areas to enjoy the magnificent view. The house is completely stocked with nice little touches. We even had a welcome package on the kitchen table when we arrived. We were traveling with a toddler so Fran was gracious enough to message and ask if we needed anything extra for arrival. We had the pack n play sitting on a chair when we arrived. *thanks again! The toys upstairs were also a life saver. This was the perfect place to stay for our first trip to Yellowstone and I hope it won’t be our last.

Clean and Quiet

We had a great stay here. It was a little further out than I anticipated, just because I knew nothing about the area, but it wasn’t any further than the other cabins or camping spots. We would stay here again and I will recommend to other friends and family. Communication with property owner was excellent.
