Quiet Cabin in the Woods, Near Yellowstone, Sleeps 12.

Sasquatch Summit is a beautiful 3,150 square feet cabin in the heart of Island Park. Close enough to stores for last minute items, dinner or drinks yet far enough away to really feel secluded. The cabin sits in a private neighborhood on more than 2 acres and is surrounded by gorgeous lodge pole pine trees. If you are looking for a party house this is NOT your house. Really! This is a quiet tranquil place to enjoy nature and just relax on the deck with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. If you are quiet you may likely see a moose or other wildlife just outside.

With 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there is plenty of space for you and your family to spread out, yet the cabin still feels warm and cozy.

We rented the cabin ourselves years ago and fell in LOVE with it! When the opportunity to purchase this cabin became available we jumped on it. We are so happy to share it with you so your family can make amazing memories, like our family has.

If you have not been to Island Park you are missing out! The cabin is only 40 minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park and in between Island Park Reservoir and Henry’s Fork Lake. Some of the best snowmobiling and fishing can be had here.

The A-frame style and large picture windows in the front of the cabin provide an amazing view from inside or find your seat on the wrap around deck to enjoy the amazing summer weather and cool nights. Two beautiful stone gas fireplaces with large open areas are perfect for family gathering, games, a movie or just relaxation. The cabin is well maintained and includes a fully stocked kitchen with all the necessities to enjoy your vacation. A propane BBQ grill is available for your use as well. Heated tile floors in the bathrooms and kitchen are comforting after a long day of playing in the snow.
This cabin is allowed to sleep a family of up to 12 people. No more than 12 people may stay at any time.

The cabin is 35 miles or 45 minutes from the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Beautiful property!

We had such an amazing time at this lovely property! Sara was a fantastic host - very communicative and responsive. The house is fabulous - remote and private. We enjoyed the proximity to Yellowstone (~45 minutes) and the other wonderful hikes in the area. We really liked just hiking the neighborhood and fields surrounding the house, and we saw a couple of moose and an elk. The firepit was a big hit, and we appreciated having plenty of room for our party of 10 (3 generations of family). Note that the upper loft area has 2 twin (?) beds that were too small for our teenage boys so are probably more appropriate for adolescents and younger (or shorter than 5'9"). We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen is - especially given that the nearest grocery store is ~20 minutes away. We'd definitely come back again if we return to this area of the country!

A Perfect Getaway

This property is incredible. If you want to feel secluded, this is the right spot! The cabin feels very spacious. We had 8 adults and 4 children ages 1, 2, 4 and 6 and we had more than enough space. The kitchen was very well stocked with things like garbage liners, sandwich bags and all the cooking and eating utensils one could possibly need. Makes a big difference when you're in a more remote location! The fire pit was wonderful, there's plenty of parking room and the host is extremely helpful and responsive. We hit a minor snag when we first arrived (not the fault of the host) and Sara responded instantly and solved the problem. And this was pretty late at night! All of our guests loved this cabin and we plan to return!

Great Family Vacation

This cabin was wonderful providing enough bedrooms for privacy with large spaces to gather. Downstairs offers the perfect area for kids to hangout. And the porch was nice to sit and enjoy the quite and the rainstorms.

Perfect Family Getaway

We loved everything about this beautiful cabin! It was just the right space for 12 of us..we could gather together or have room to ourselves if we wanted. The decor was great..we enjoyed all the cute signs and Sasquatch warnings! The owner was awesome and checked in with us to make sure things were perfect. We will definitely be back to make more memories with our kids and grandkids!

Fantastic Family Getaway!!

This was definitely one of our favorite VRBO stays! The cabin was in a beautiful location, surrounded by trees and had plenty of parking! The inside was spacious with lots of comfy couches, a very well-stocked kitchen, nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, lots of extra towels and super clean!! We’d love to stay here again!

Amazing property and owner!

Everything about this experience was perfect. The property is everything and more than the pictures can try to entail. The property owner was exceptionally responsive through the whole process. Family Cabin in heart of Island Park

We enjoyed our stay at this well-stocked, beautfiul cabin during our summertime visit. It was a great place to land after spending a day at Yellowstone National Park or a day at the nearby lake. It was very comfortable inside and out. We enjoyed use of the different gathering areas (one on each floor) and the wrap-around porch and rockers outside. There was a place for everyone to relax or play according to their preferences. Thanks for letting us borrow your home!

Large home in private setting.

Our family had a wonderful reunion in this beautiful home. It was large enough for groups of family to gather and enjoy each others company. Well equipped and conducive to gathering in both small and large groups. Lots of stairs so some of our older members huffed and puffed a bit. Extended family stayed at campground just down the road. Would not hesitate to rent again!

Great all around

The cabin had ample parking for our group as we al came up separately. The cabin is located close to Yellowstone Park as well as great fishing on the rivers in Idaho. The kitchen was also amply equipped and well as for food storage so multiple trips to the store were not necessary. Frist morning, a moose cow with 2 calves came thourgh the yard. Wonderful sight! I recommend this cabin for groups of 6 to 10.

Best Christmas Ever!!!

The cabin is beautiful!! The area is breathtaking, We arrived on Christmas Eve, and everything was decorated for Christmas, even the fireplace was glowing🤗. I didn’t realize we needed shampoo and body wash so I messaged our host Ty and he told me about a grocery store that might be open so we headed there and were so lucky he was about to lock the doors!! Overall It was the best Christmas ever!!!

Yellowstone Getaway

This cabin could not have been more perfect for our getaway! There was plenty of space for four families, including space for the children to play and still allow the adults to enjoy some peace and quiet. No shortcuts were taken with the building of this cabin or the stocking of it. The heated tile flooring was a treat! I brought extra items just in case the cabin was not stocked with them, especially the kitchen. But there was no need, this cabin had everything. The beds were very comfy and the neighbors were far away. A great stay. We already have plans to repeat the experience!

Great stay in a great cabin

Really enjoyed the stay in the cabin in Island Park. Very comfortable and plenty of room for the 6 of us to stretch out and have our own spaces. Tyler, the property manager was incredibly responsive for the couple questions I had. It is on the outskirts of where you would want to stay if visiting Yellowstone a lot, as it's 45m each way to the town of W. Yellowstone and back, and further to get into the park itself. The other side of this coin though is that it is secluded and peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle, which is just what we needed. Such a great stay!
