Welcome to Whitehouse Cottage by Clear Trail Properties - a cozy, updated 1920s home offering the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort.

Tucked in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage is ideal for families, outdoor adventurers, and extended stays. With easy access to snowmobile/UTV trails, skiing, waterfalls, and hiking, you’re never far from nature or local amenities.

✔ Bedroom 1: King-size bed
✔ Bedroom 2: Bunk bed with Full, Twin, and Twin trundle - ideal for kids or groups
✔ Fully stocked kitchen - just bring your food
✔ Cozy living room with comfortable seating
✔ New window A/C unit for warm months
✔ Two private driveways for parking trucks/trailers
✔ Street parking available in spring, summer, and fall (not allowed in winter due to snow regulations)
✔ High-speed Wi-Fi

Additional fees & requirements:
✔ Rental Agreement & ID Verification - A signed rental agreement and a valid ID upload from the booking guest are required.
✔ Security Deposit Hold - A $500 hold will be placed as a refundable security deposit.
✔ Early Check-In / Late Check-Out - Available upon request, pending availability. Each is offered for a $30 fee and must be arranged in advance.
✔ Additional Guests - $5 per night for each guest beyond 4, max of 8 guests

Working vacation

A very sweet little house in a quiet and attractive neighborhood. Extremely pleasant and comfortable for a traveling medical professional. My small dog enjoyed her stay, too!

Hopeful skiing in Michigan

Drove two hours of icy roads to and fro Iron Mountain/Duluth. Stayed one of three nights booked. Only due to no snow to ski on in Michigan. Tried to contact owner first night to see if we could work something out, but still have had no communication. Great home, great location, no communication with owner.

Fun getaway

House was cute on the outside with a nice back/side yard and fire pit. (unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we didn't get to use it) The inside was very clean and totally stocked with most everything you would need. Books on the area to look at and easy in/out access. We would definately come back.

Clean, quiet, good location

As locals who have moved away, this was a great place to stay to come back to the UP to visit. We were happy to be able to bring our dogs, and enjoyed playing fetch in the large yard. The house was well-stocked and clean. Floors are very squeaky which made it difficult to move around the house when our child was sleeping, but all part of the charm of an older home. It’s so nicely refinished, and we would choose to stay here again. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, several blocks from the downtown area - would be perfect biking distance to the local trails.

The overall property was very nice, all of the rooms were decorated very modern and the location of the property was perfect close enough to downtown but also very peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful cottage

Cottage is well equipped and a very nice place to relax after skiing. Hills are close, bed is comfy and Ashley was super responsive to my questions. I would consider the place Ultra clean as welll. Definitely would stay here again.

Very Cozy

This place was spotless. Our expectations are very high and we were not dissapointed . This was not just surface clean like some places, it was spotless and smelled clean. I skied while my wife and our dog hung out on the property. I had a great time skiing and Sue Ellen and our dog Reacher enjoyed the quiet time at the house.

Great Location for Waterfalls

We have wanted to check out the waterfalls in WI in that corner of the state. In doing our research we found that the UP has many more. This house was a perfect "home" base to hit 20 waterfalls in one weeks. None were "that" far away at all. We saw Bond Falls, and were close to check out the sea caves in the Apostle Islands....and so much in between. The Whitehouse Cottage was just a great place for us to come and go from. It has a window AC which kept the larger bedroom super comfy...and where we had our two Shelties stay in their crates when we were out. The kitchen had everything needed for the basic cooking we did. Everything made it a great stay. To top it off Ironwood had an amazing bakery - Rigoni's. And the Iron Nugget in Hurley had great food. Super place to get away too!
