Property was clean and well stocked - every kitchen gadget and consumable we could possibly use. Everything was in good working order. The ocean view was great, which was nice because the weather wasn’t! Communication with host was good, but not really needed.

Very nice condo

Nice clean condo. Beautiful view and we had everything we needed to cook and relax on the beach. Sandy is very nice and we would rent this condo again.

Wonderful Condo

We had a wonderful stay at Sandy’s home away from home. It was well cleaned and stocked, centrally located and had a beautiful view of the beach. We loved our time on Amelia Island. The bed was very comfortable- which isn’t always the case, so we were very thankful! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Paradise at Amelia Island

Well decorated and everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable king bed and pillows. Beautiful view of the ocean and convenience to the pool and beach. Immaculate cleanliness and useful written instructions. Easy access to grocery store and downtown Fernandina.Relaxing and peaceful.

Rental unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay amazing. Beautiful views of the ocean from everywhere in the unit. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again.

Perfect Stay, I loved the sunrises

Sandy is an exceptionally gracious and communicative host, making our stay both enjoyable and effortless. Acess to the beach was very easy and we spent much of our time there. The condo itself is wonderfully comfortable, offering an unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean that truly enhances the experience. During our month-long stay, we took full advantage of the well-appointed kitchen, which was, without a doubt, the most thoughtfully equipped we’ve encountered in over 15 short-term rentals. We also appreciated the property’s no-pets policy, which added to our comfort. With convenient amenities such as easy parking, an elevator, and a dedicated trash room, day-to-day activities were seamless. We would gladly return to this lovely spot in the future.

Perfect balcony view

We had a great week staying here. Location to the beach is perfect and beach equipment was in excellent condition and so nice to have. The balcony was where we ate breakfast every morning. The sunrise was spectacular! When we weren’t out and about, we were definitely on the balcony!

Owner is very accommodating

We went to Amelia to celebrate my husbands birthday and our anniversary. Unfortunately Helene hit 2weeks before we were scheduled to arrive. We had some damage at home and were considering canceling. We arrived and the weather was cloudy and rainy and in the middle of our vacation Milton was going to hit Florida. Sandy was kind enough to give us a partial refund. We would definitely rent from her again.

Barefoot Amelia Beach Rentals isn’t just our job—it’s a reflection of our love for this island. Jenny grew up here, and Matt is from nearby Jacksonville. After 7 years in Atlanta, we felt the pull back to the coast—where we could pour our energy into something fulfilling while still embracing the island’s way of life. Now, we’re lucky to raise our two kids, Miles and Madelyn, here, along with our beach-loving dog, Duke. This is home, and we love sharing it with others.

We created Barefoot Amelia to offer more than just a place to stay. Our beachfront rentals are designed to feel like a retreat—well-appointed spaces with thoughtfully designed interiors, carefully chosen details, and all the little touches that make relaxing easy. We’re hands-on in overseeing our homes, working closely with our team to maintain high standards, create welcoming spaces, and ensure every guest has a seamless stay.
