An authentic, characterful 19th-century Burgundian farmhouse, fully restored, located 15 km from the world-famous abbey town of Cluny—the spiritual heart of medieval Europe—and awarded the very rare and prestigious “European Heritage” designation (all amenities on site). A quiet setting in the Cluny countryside, in the heart of a peaceful, traditional little village nestled like a “balcony” on the hillside, nestled within a magnificent landscape of rolling hills, a succession of lush wooded countryside, idyllic rivers, and vast forests (numerous hiking and mountain biking trails to explore in the surrounding area).<br> A prime location adjacent to the Romanesque Churches Trail, the Wine Route, and several hiking trails designated as “green walks” (starting points 2.5 km away), 4 km from the GR7 and 5 km from the GR76, 12 km from the greenway, 15 km from the renowned “Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne” mountain bike trail, and 21 km from a designated “Coup de Cœur” cycling loop (88 km). <br>An interesting location at the crossroads of the Clunisois-Tournugeois region (designated a “Land of Art and History”), the Mâconnais, the Charolais-Brionnais (the birthplace of AOC-certified cattle and sheep breeds recognized worldwide, designated a “Land of Art and History”), and the Beaujolais. <br>Ideal for exploring the surrounding area: 23 km from Charolles, 29 km from La Clayette and Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 27 km away), 29 km from the majestic natural wonder of the Roche de Solutré (designated a “Grand Site de France”), 37 km from Paray-le-Monial, 45 km from Tournus, and 48 km from Digoin (and its river marina connected to the Canal du Centre).

Beautiful and quaint

The hostess is charming! The kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed. We loved the surroundings and took lots of amazing walks!

Cottage in beautiful countryside

Claudette gets top marks for responsiveness and helpfulness. The cottage is deep in the countryside with beautiful walls in the fields and woods all around. We made friends with the cows, the crickets and birds. Exactly what we needed from our holiday. The little village which it’s close to has a friendly cafe and the closest town, Cluny, is one of the most charming and authentic little Burgandy towns I’ve visited. Everyone in the town is welcoming and proud of their home. During the summer there are community events nearly every night. Such a lovely experience.

Ottima collocazione nel sud Borgogna, nella quiete della campagna ed a pochi chilometri da importanti località a partire da Cluny, Solutre', La Clayette, Charolles, Parey le Monial, ma non solo. Ambiente fresco garantito da pareti storiche, ottimo per le estati calde. Un ringraziamento a madame Claudette, ottima gestrice e proprietaria.

Het was een fijn verblijf in een prachtige omgeving.De eigenaresse is een erg warm persoon. Veel ruimte om buiten te zitten, in de zon of in de schaduw.Alles in en rond het huis was erg netjes onderhouden.We misten een uitzicht op het landschap vanuit het huis/ de boerderij.

Effectivement, si les paysages environnants sont très agréables, le gîte se trouvant "encaissé" il ne permet pas d'avoir une belle vue directement depuis la cour, j'en ai bien conscience, mais hélas, il n'est pas possible d'améliorer cette situation ! Le gîte est super bien tenu, propre, bien équipé dans une region magnifique. La proprietaire est très gentille et très à l'écoute. Nous recommandons fortement.

Pause calme et nombreux sites intéressants

Quelques jours entre visites de lieux emblématiques comme Cluny l'abbaye, Berzé le château, activités sportives comme vélo sur la voie verte, marche pour accéder au sommet de la roche de Solutré, dégustation de bonnes choses.

Charmant séjour au calme

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Claudette à notre arrivée. Le logement est charmant, extrêmement bien équipé, le cadre naturel est très joli et paisible.

Für Kunstinteressierte, Naturliebhaber und Ruhesuchende

sehr nette Gastgeberin !!! das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, traumhafte Lage des Hauses in den Bergen in kleinem Dorf, himmlische Ruhe, man kann viele interessante Orte Burgunds gut erreichen. Auto ist allerdings erforderlich.
