This highly exclusive 4-person cottage has been set up in a former hay-loft with a usable area of 98m². It is very private since it is built right next to the hill a good way from the main building. It also has a large 45m² patio. The view overlooking the surrounding hills is breathtaking.

Ideally situated at a stone’s throw from Volterra and San Gimignano, Monte Casone is a veritable haven of peace blessed with a view which is worthy of the most beautiful of postcards. Rest assured, you will experience moments of complete fulfilment, which you will be happy to share with your loved ones in the large overflow swimming pool or during unforgettable evenings with a good glass of Brunello wine.
Whether you are a golfer, a walker, a passionate historian or whether you are simply looking for peace and tranquillity, you will find what you are looking for in Monte Casone.

HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATIONS UNLIKE ANY OTHERS

The Pendolino villa (201m2) and the Frantoio cottage (104m2) are located within the farm complex, whereas the Moraiolo stand-alone cottage (98m2) is to be found on the site of an old hayloft. Each accommodation has a furnished private patio.

The three spacious lodges enjoy superior privacy and are designed and equipped to make you feel at home. From the Nespresso machine to Netflix and the Bose portable speaker, you will find everything you need for your well-being.

COMFORT ALL YEAR ROUND:

Monte Casone can welcome you all year round with the highest level of comfort and respect for the environment. To achieve this the farm holiday accommodation has been renovated recently with green technologies which have brought the buildings to the highest level of energy performance (A+).
Extremely efficient and comfortable in winter (up to 24°C in every room), the geothermal system uses the under-floor piping equipment for cooling purposes in summer. This technology is healthier and more comfortable than flowing cold air. The temperature inside the accommodation is typically kept around 8°C to 10°C cooler than peak outside temperature. Also, all bedrooms windows are equipped with mosquito nets, so as to take maximum advantage of night coolness.
The use of these technologies, which is extremely rare in this region of Italy, offers you the possibility of visiting Tuscany out of season and thus to avoid overcrowding in the high season in the popular tourist destinations.

Amazing stay for our family. Lovely reception and welcoming. The view is breathtaking from the pool and our kids enjoyed that only few other guests are there if at all.

We have just enjoyed the most relaxing week at Monte Casone. The villa was spotless and equipped beyond expectation. Due to a late flight we didn’t arrive until 11pm but communication with the host was excellent and we were still greeted and shown around upon arrival!The villas themselves are set in a stunning rural Tuscany location. The infinity pool was spotless and offered beautiful views out onto rolling hills! Would we come again? In a heart beat!Tip: Monte Casone is very rural and accessed by a long steep gravel track. A hire car and confident driver is definitely recommended!

Villa is breathtaking!

You couldn’t possibly ask for anything better than this Villa! It is clean, rustic, authentic, and the VIEWS are amazing! We didn’t have weather that allowed us to enjoy the pool but it was nice. Simply amazing!

Charming and Remote

This property was a Tuscan dream. Breathtaking scenery in a comfortable and meticulously updated former hay shed. Sarah and her family are warm and kind. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect location to explore the Tuscan countryside.

Tuscan Escape

Overall we loved the cottage and the area. The views were amazing. Easy access to Florence, Pisa, etc. We enjoyed the solitude, the pool to ourselves, and sitting on our private terrace for coffee or afternoon drinks. The shrubbery around the terrace could be trimmed down to provide a better view. It was very warm during our stay, and with no A/C the cottage was quite warm. The fans helped, but noisy. We did not see the caretakers much after check-in, but knew they were there if we needed them. A lovely few days in Tuscany!

Beautiful home in a great secluded area

We loved this villa and it's surroundings. If you're looking for a remote getaway, this is a definite winner. The roads leading to the villa are a little sketchy but as long as you have a decent vehicle you will be fine. Great place to stay if you have a car and are wanting to do day trips.

Beautiful view, Well-equipped

The cottage was more than comfortable for two couples. We enjoyed using the outdoor BBQ and gorgeous pool most of all. Great place to just unwind. The property is remote—but plenty of charming towns within a 15-30 minute drive away.

Tuscan sunshine

It was a hot several days and the beautiful pool and shade umbrellas were very appreciated. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was comfortable. 2 little trays of ice in the freezer. The washer is very small, but effective. There is no forced air AC, system is geothermal and was comfortable at night due to the cooler nights. I don’t know about mid-summer. No dryer but a clothesline outside. Overall a very nice cottage in a secluded area. Important to plan ahead any siteseeing, it is not an easy location.

A beautiful setting.

A stunning location. Endless views, peaceful and easy comfort. A spectacular pool, better than most resorts. All the conveniences of home and exceeding our expectations. Short drives to San Gimiano and Sienna. The nearby town of Ghizano it a surprise in itself. We can’t wait to return.

Ferienidyll in der Toskana

Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus bei dem es an nichts fehlt. Lage traumhaft mit Blick auf Olivenhaine und die toskanische Landschaft. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die Zufahrtsstraße zum Ferienhaus, diese war durch den Regen sehr ausgespült. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Skønt ophold på lækker ejendom

Flot, flot ejendom med skøn beliggenhed. Perfekte faciliteter. Man føler sig virkelig velkommen som gæst - der er generelt bare kælet lidt mere for detaljerne end mange andre steder. For os er beliggenheden god mens andre nok synes, der er lidt langt til restauranter (og supermarkeder), men hvis du prioriterer ro og "hjemlig" hygge med madlavning og afslapning, så er det et perfekt sted.

Fantastic week!

Very easy rental process and a beautiful property. Very difficult to get to as it’s a long and winding dirt/gravel road with not a lot of signage. But well worth it! Anna was extremely helpful and informative. Had some great recommendations as well. More pillows/pillow options would be nice but that’s minor in the scheme of things. Would definitely return if travel plans allowed.

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil et la gentillesse d'Anna, sa délicatesse et sa disponibilité à répondre à nos questions et nos demandes. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la maison (ancien fenil) qui correspondait aux images et à l'information du site internet. Bien équipée, bien située, dans un environnement tranquille et bucolique. Nous aurions une petite suggestion constructive qui pourrait être appéciée: mettre davantage de linge de maison à la disposition des invités: nappe ou napperons, linges de vaisselle et guenilles... Sinon, tout était parfait...

Fantastische plek, van alle gemakken voorzien, met een adembenemend uitzicht!

Moraiolo is een fantastische plek om te verblijven. Het is een luxe huisje op een schitterende plek, veel privacy, prachtige vergezichten. Ontzettend vriendelijke beheerders, die op de achtergrond altijd beschikbaar zijn. Schoon, veel gemakken, er is veel aandacht besteed aan vele details (denk aan een draadloze Bose speaker, stopcontact op het terras, ventilatoren in alle slaapkamers, uitgebreide inventaris, Nespresso machine, leuke wijnproeverij op het terrein ...). We hebben ontzettend genoten van de rust en de omgeving. Twee hele kleine minpuntjes: stoelen op terras waren niet heel erg comfortabel (daarentegen kon gebruik gemaakt worden van de loungeset naast het zwembad) en voor je verse broodjes ben je even onderweg (maar dat kon je van tevoren weten - er is een oven en broodrooster). Concluderend: een aanrader voor een ieder die van rust, luxe en een prachtige omgeving wil genieten!
