Large downstairs one bedroom apartment furnished with period antiques in Graham Historic District. House is on National Register, called Tara by original owner. Full eat in kitchen with windows on three sides creates lots of light to enjoy your morning coffee. Queen sized bed with Tempurpedic topper makes for restful nights in the separate bedroom. Deep comfy couch and surrounding bookshelves create quiet homelike atmosphere in the living room. Antique Murphy bed tucked in alcove area creates additional sleeping space. Bath with walk in shower and seat.

I am a local, born and raised here. I moved away for college and graduate school and a 10 year stint as a lawyer in Washington, DC. I moved back to raise my two children who are now successful adults with jobs and homes of their own. I think being a parent is the highest calling one can have because raising good citizens for the next generation is the best thing to ensure their successful future.

This property is 107 years old. It was a "fixer upper" before HGTV and DIY networks existed so I had to learn renovation techniques on the fly. Money was tight so I did a lot of the work myself from sanding and refinishing wood floors, to stripping and hanging wall paper, to patching plaster and drywall.
