Welcome couples, families, and large groups.

Beds: 2 King beds, 4 twin beds, 2 full beds

Cooking: Double Ovens, 6-burner stove, a warming oven, and a double door refrigerator.

Dining: seats 20 people inside at the long dining table, bar, and breakfast nook. Through the kitchen door to the back patio is seating for 12-16 at 2 picnic tables and 12-16 more at log benches surrounding an outdoor firepit.

Kids: 1 Pack n Play and 2 High Chairs on site, and a swingset in the backyard.

This house is on 3 acres with a (separately rented) studio apartment and cottage to the north. We raised our 9 children out here in the country, but since we retired, we Airbnb all three places whenever we are off for extended visits with our children and grandkids (we have over 30 grandchildren).

Check-In: Check-in time is anytime after 4:30pm on your arrival date.
Check-Out: Check-out is by 11am on departure date.

-Beds: the Master bedroom upstairs has a king bed, bedroom #2 upstairs has two double beds, bedroom #3 downstairs has one king and two sets of bunk beds (4 twin beds). There are two pack n plays, one in the front closet and one in the downstairs bedroom.

-Fire pit, log benches and two picnic tables: There is a firepit with log benches that can seat 12-16 people. Two picnic tables are on the cement patio able to sit 16 more people. A playset for kids is also in the backyard. Be aware that we have "country lawn" not "city lawn," so our grass is mowed but not manicured. :) We provide a snow shovel and salt for your convenience when it snows.

-Children: We welcome children and are prepared for them. There are two high chairs in the front closet.

-Country air: While we do not have any animals (and haven't for years), when the breeze blows certain directions you may smell dairy animals. We consider this part of the country experience. ;)

-Country bugs: Please keep the doors closed. Not only to aid the air conditioning in keeping the house cool, but also because it keeps the country bugs outside where they belong. Especially at night when they're attracted to the lights.

-This house shares laundry facilities with the studio apartment (access is from the patio). The fridge in the laundry area is reserved for the studio.

Be sure to take notice of the night sky and beautiful sunsets of our area, they are truly spectacular. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you can hear or see the owls in our trees.

You will have access to the upstairs and downstairs of the house (the cellar is off limits), the cement back patio, the swing set, the backyard fire pit and log benches, and the shared laundry facilities off the patio. You can also access the lawn halfway between the cottage toward the east.

You will love being in the country and enjoying the outdoors but plan to bring groceries before you come since a grocery store is 12 miles away. We provide a coffee maker.

We provide a large television. We do not have cable. Most guests plug in their laptop/tablets or phones to watch their Netflix.

Please, no pets (we just remodeled).
