Lots of parking for boat, car, truck. New deck with hot tub in backyard with completely enclosed privacy fence for fur babies. Need extra room? You will not find a better value in this precious Carrabelle community! There’s a fire pit, deck,hot tub and covered metal roof with charcoal grill in backyard. Screened porch in front of property with porch swing and futon. This property is just 2 blocks from marina, boat ramp, restaurants, shops in downtown Carrabelle. Five minute drive to Carrabelle Beach. 30 minute drive to city of Appalachicola or Saint George island beach. Beach supplies, 2 beach bikes, 2 kayaks available for your use in outdoor building, Please note we cannot be responsible for accidents should you decide to use our equipment. Please also note some equipment may not be available should renters forget to return our equipment. Public beach access. McKissack Beach on gulf beach drive is only 2.5 miles away. Well stocked main kitchen has food processor, pots, pans, large roasting pan, blender, plenty of utensils, dishes. Full size washer and dryer. Washer is in outbuilding. Laundry basket provided. Great eateries in Carrabelle include Fathoms bar and grill, Mornin’ Bite. Fathom’s serves great seafood dishes with live music and a warm local atmosphere to boot. Harry’s sports bar nearby is a fun stop with pool tables. Boat charters available at CQuarters marina. Or bring your own boat and use the public boat ramps for your fishing pleasure. We love staying at our own place but if you must make it your place for awhile, you are gonna love it!

We enjoyed the Snapper tremendously.We are grateful to our host for having some groceries (coffee, tea, cereal, etc.) ready for us to use. After driving 13 hours we didn't feel like grocery shopping. We slept, made coffee (as I said, provided at the house) and we went shopping.The hot tub was awesome and the back yard is adorable.We enjoyed the small town and everything it has to offer.We are thankful to our hosts for all the comfort provided.We loved it!With gratitude

Clean/Versatile property

We had the property for a week during New Year's. It was very clean and the owners were very responsive and easy to work with. It is not a secluded location, very close to several great restaurants and shopping for groceries/toiletries, etc. There were loads of kids enjoying their bikes and scooters outside everywhere after Christmas, which I was happy to see. We expected lots of firework noise but there wasn't too much. The chickens let you know when morning is approaching but I can't remember the last time I stayed in a home and didn't wake up to chickens, lol. We planned on 6 adults, 1 minor, and 2 dogs but thankfully it was mostly just my husband and I. Otherwise, we would have been extremely cramped when not out and about enjoying the location. Thanks so much sharing your property with us!

Pawsitively Perfect

What a wonderful home. So we'll stocked and clean. Perfect location too! The hot tub was perfect in the October evenings. The dogs loved exploring the fenced yard. Hostesses were absolutely amazing. Will definitely stay at the Snapper Shack again.

Great bang for the buck

Nice little house with a nice little hot tub. Had everything we needed and then some. Great neighborhood. This was listed as a 3 bedroom, it is actually a two bedroom. Great place for the money

Home away from home

Second time staying at the Snapper Shack and it was as cozy as the first time. Had a little trouble with the WiFi a couple of times on the TV but used our hotspot and all was good. Loved sitting on the back porch in the morning drinking coffee while our pup explored the back yard. The beach was just a few minutes drive away and not many people there at all. Saw dolphins a couple of times as close to the beach as I’ve ever seen, once within 7-8 feet away from the shore where we were standing. Dog friendly restaurants are close by but our favorite was the Red Pirate. Enjoyed shopping in Apalachicola and many of the shops are dog friendly as well. The Snapper Shack is our go to place to stay when visiting The Forgotten Coast!

Lovely little house

This house is nice neighborhood is a little lacking. Beds super comfortable and clean. WiFi is slow but plenty of movies to watch. Hot tub is what brought us back which is very nice. Would recommend can’t beat price.

Comfortable place to rest

This is our second time at the Snapper Shack. It is a good value for the money & we greatly enjoyed our time spent there. The property manager Linda is helpful and kind.

Nature Gateaway

My husband and I were staying at Snapper Shack for 6 days. We liked the location due to secluted area. The house was clean and cozy. Our dog enjoyed the yard and so did we. Loved the fact we could walk to marina and that beaches were dog friendly. Linda the host was responding quickly to messages and was always ready to help with any problems. It was truly a great gateaway. Thank you !

Christmas in Carrabelle

We were blessed to spend Christmas at this adorable property. All of the comforts of home! Excellent communications. Easy checkin.. Well stocked kitchen. Excellent local fresh seafood. Short drive to a public beach. Excellent restaurants closeby. Thank YOU for being such great hosts. We will definitely come back again.

This house was clean and neat. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the hot tub as well as the covered deck. Our host was always available by text message when we needed her and very accommodating. We had no problems the neighborhood was quiet we felt safe and didn’t wore about our boat sitting there where were not using it. Would definitely recommend this rental. Great location close to town and boat ramp. Thanks Linda!

AC vents and filter filthy, entire house was fuzzy with dust

Upon arrival we immediately smelled stale, musty and mildew in the air. Living room rug has a huge dirty stain on it, exposed electrical wires hanging out of the wall above the microwave. Saw vents were dark with dust and mold, ac filter was dark gray. Hood above stove was covered in greasy dust.Contacted VRBO immediately and the owner called us back and said she does the cleaning but lives in Ga, no local caretaker available to remedy the problems. Said we could leave and begged us not to write a review. We were tired from the 8 hr drive and the town was hosting a big festival so we found lodging very limited. My husband said he would clean up the mess and change the filter. Owner stated she would compensate us for doing this. We stayed our booked time but avoided the house other than to sleep. Notified the owner as requested when we left ahead of checkout time. Requested 2 days taken off our bill. Felt like that covered the inconvenience of my husbands cleaning up their mess and me having to take allergy pills to stay there. The owner stated in a text message that we were trying to extort her for money off our stay and stated she was blocking me from further conversation. We are frequent VRBO customers and have never had an experience like this before. I have numerous photos to backup my complaints. Also text message. Please help us with this request and remove this listing so others don’t come to vacation in a mess like we encountered.

Amazing little house

Easy to find right in town.Best part is the hot tub and back yard. Nice little bedrooms with comfy beds feels like home. Host are super quick with responding and had everything we needed for our stay.

Great property in beautiful area

The Snapper Shack is a great place to stay. Clean, all the amenities we needed, and in a great area. Carrabelle and the forgotten coast are absolutely beautiful. Not a chain restaurant in sight, incredibly friendly people, and outdoor activities abound. Plenty of places to fish from the beach, great food, and in our adventures from Bald Point state park to St. George Island I don't think we were ever more than a mile from the ocean.
