**** freshly painted and all new carpet in 2023!
A peaceful retreat for those who would like to get away from the hectic work week or city life. The cozy interior of this cottage is welcoming and comfortable for traveling guests to feel right at home. Bedrooms include 1 master with queen, 2nd bedroom with queen, bedroom 3 has full daybed with full size mattress. (3 total beds) along with living room couch. And maybe the best part is the Relaxing deck back - perfect for board games, as well as the fire pit and deck chairs and table for outdoor dining - and even fishing. It’s the perfect oasis away from it all!

The neighborhood is super friendly and walkable! You can walk all along the lake side front for a scenic stroll. And we even share the neighborhood with Indianas Largest Boat, the Madam Carroll (which operates several days of the week dockside so stop on over for a cold beverage and maybe some live music). Steps away are also The Sportsman Inn for food and drink and The Scoreboard & Kopesetic Beer factory - brewery and pizza place! *** we are only 6 miles from Indiana Beach!
Conveniently located - Purdue 30 min.

Get away from it all in this quaint 3 bdrm cottage (on the inlet) leading into lake freeman. peaceful views, fantastic deck with fishing access. No direct swimming access. Feel right at home & ready to relax! Sit around the quiet firepit, You wont want to leave the lake life! Friendly Neighborhood is walkable or bring a bike to enjoy.

Bring your own boat if you’d like - we have a dock available. (For fishing also)

We do allow well behaved pets - there will be a $125 pet fee charge for your stay.

We supply majority of basic kitchen needs / linens / the basics. If you have any specific questions on what we have stocked, please let me know! (Dishes, utensils, coffee maker, even some boardgames, books for your enjoyment, washer and dryer also included as well as a Google-enabled speaker for easy music.

Large flat-screen TV in living room if you must come in from the relaxing deck... and because part of the lake life is unplugging, we have a nice library of books for your enjoyment as well as board and card games also.

We offer high speed WiFi, Netflix, onDemand tv / movies - a perfect spot for WFH environment.

We offer rental of (2) kayaks for additional fee. You may fish from our dock.

We have hosted many visitors and book on some different platforms - and have a superhost rating.

The home was very clean. The host was very welcoming and the house had everything we could have needed. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans. There is a brand new nice deck on the back over looking the canal. Thank you for opening your home.

Great location and host

Nice neighborhood to stay in, very close to lake, and close to dining. Plenty of room with comfortable furnishings. Great host, very responsive and thoughtful. Enjoyed the weekend.

Perfect Getaway!

Everything about this property was amazing. We could not have asked for an easier check-in/out process and the property was just as described. We enjoyed the view from the deck every morning and night and even played a couple of games provided by the owners. I would recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy a little getaway with the family as it is very close to the amusement park, drive-in theater, and so many great restaurants.

Disappointed.

Leak in toilet, damp towels put away in cabinet. Damp/wet towels left in washer. Lots of ants in kitchen. Had to leave a day early due to family illness. Host offered a partial refund which was nice, I did not request it.Not sure how this property got a premier status. I have had the pleasure of staying at several VRBO properties. My one and only disappointment

Clean and convenient location

Used the location due to the proximity to Jasper Pulaski Sandhill Crane Observation Tower. Accommodations were great. Clean and they take pets! Would definitely use again should the need arise!

Enjoyed our stay... it was the best birthday getaway.... The catfish are huge... Turtles are planty... Everything was provided as listed... we only left out for groceries... will definitely try to book it again next year

Comfortable & clean

This property has hosted our family of 4 for three summers in a row & we will keep coming back! The home is in excellent condition & has everything that we need to be comfortable. It is in close proximity to all of our favorite area activities while having a secluded & relaxing setting. 5 stars for good reason!

A place to sleep, but needs fixed up and updated.

Walking into this place it looked great. It was clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The ice maker in the fridge was nice to have. However the house needs fixed up in some areas. In the bathroom the flooring is buckling near the tub, which could be a fall risk with wet feet. The dryer did not dry, so we had to pack wet clothes and bring them home. The curtain brackets were loose and seemed like they were about to fall out of the wall while we adjusted the curtains. The legs of the glass coffee table were wiggly. Traveling with two kids 2 and under, I was worried the legs were going to break everytime they bumped into the coffee table. Overall, this house provided us with a comfortable place to sleep, and a kitchen to cook in, but I would not stay again.

The property itself needs some TLC. It’s not a bad place to stay but doesn’t appear it’s been updated or kept up on. Both bolts had fallen out of one of the beds causing the headboard to hit the wall anytime you moved. The bracket for one of the blinds was missing a piece so when you tried to adjust it the entire thing fell. The deck next to the water was overgrown causing it to be very difficult to walk on it.

Cute and clean

It was exactly as pictured. It was quiet and clean and appeared to have all the comforts of home. We were visiting Purdue(30-40 minute drive away) for family weekend so we did not spend a lot of time here but we enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the water. Host was friendly and very responsive to our questions. We would recommend and stay again.

Loved the patio, but not the murky canal. Thought we would have better view of lake. Thanks Caleb for patience with thermostat. Found everything we needed except working wine bottle opener.

Perfect for Friends Get-Away

This was a wonderful place for our group of 3 to have a quiet friends get-away. The home was very clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. The living room area was cozy. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. We especially enjoyed spending time together on the back deck. The hosts were quickly responsive to our questions. We'd definitely return in the future!

Comfortable and Relaxing

We had a comfortable and relaxing stay at this lakeside cottage. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need like coffee, sugar and spices. We enjoyed grilling out and eating on their back deck. Beds were comfortable. Had a lovely walk in their neighborhood to view Lake Freeman/Tippecanoe River. It is close to amusement park. Hosts are super kind and responsive.

great stay

Very nice, clean property. Great area. We unfortunately did not have much time at the property due to visiting family in the area-we felt it was a wonderful oasis after a long day at Indiana Beach- the very cool air conditioning was a big plus during the recent humid hot weather. Would stay again.

The interior of this cottage is super welcoming for guests. Bedrooms include 1 master and 1 queen bedroom, along with 3rd bedroom with futon - pull out full. And maybe the best part is the great deck out back - perfect for sitting, games, as well as the fire pit and large deck attached with deck chairs and table for outdoor dining. All facing an inlet/canal for Lake Freeman! It’s the perfect oasis away from it all! The dock is just steps away, and perfect for fishing. You can fish or even dock your boat.
