Newly remodeled one of a kind private, secluded getaway located on 140+ privately owned wooded acres with several miles of trails for hiking, biking and exploring. That's right! You will have 140+ acres all to yourself during your stay!

If a weekend getaway in the country is what you're looking for then Hilltop Hideaway is perfect for you! It is ideal for a small family vacation in the country, a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life or work or a romantic getaway away for two. We have created a place to get some peace and quiet and relaxation in a serene quiet setting.
Everything has been newly remodeled and we guarantee the home to be cozy and clean upon your arrival, equipped with all you will need during your stay. Every room in the home, including bedrooms, has large picturesque windows with amazing views. The home also has a large deck with a beautiful view from the hilltop.
The property includes a shelter house with firepit, grill and outdoor kitchen. We have groomed trails with many hills and valleys for hiking, biking and exploring along with a small pond near the house.
Located near an Amish community the property offers unique experiences not found at other locations. Perhaps you would enjoy a drive through the country where you will see horse and buggies and working Amish farms and markets. There are many small groceries, bakeries, homemade candy, restaurants, greenhouses, local produce patches, meat lockers and more.
If you enjoy flea markets there is The Chandelier Barn flea market occurring once during every season. You can check out their dates online!
Every Friday night nearby there is a huge auction barn with at least 7 auctioneers going at one time called Dinky's. It is something everyone needs to experience at least once in a lifetime. You never know what you will find there.
If you want to venture further out other attractions approximately one hour is Paoli Peaks snow sports(skiing, snowboarding, and tubing) and French Lick. If you are not familiar with French Lick check out the many activities and historical sites there such as the drive through safari, casinos, train rides, trampoline park, bowling, go-karting, and historical downtown West Baden Hotel. There is also Lake Monroe with water sport rentals! We have left information on local activities in our guest book. We think our property and our area has a lot of unique opportunities not found in other areas. We think you will agree when you come to visit.

Great stay!

A cute little house in rural Indiana! We were in town for a wedding and stayed here with our kids for three nights. House was clean and comfortable. The location was private and quiet and the property manager was easily accessible when needed. Overall a great stay. We would definitely stay again !

Here to visit family.

Views of the back deck are great as is having 140 acres to ourselves. We had one problem and owner came quickly came and d alt with it. When we come again, we would love to stay here again.

Absolutely Wonderful

My husband and I rented the cabin for the holiday weekend. We had our sons bring their families and enjoyed the outdoors. Very relaxing, spacious, with beautiful views and weather. We were able to meet the owners who were so nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

House Atop a Hill

My son came home for military leave, and we chose this property for the seclusion and scenery to spend a relaxing 2 days with family and friends. No one was disappointed. We made memories to last a lifetime, and this house provided everything we needed. Zero complaints.

Perfect birthday getaway

Property is meticulously maintained and great for taking walks or just sitting and talking. Spaces set up on all sides of the outdoor property to sit. Absolutely loved the outdoor kitchen and fire pit. There are games to play for kids and a large dining table to eat at inside. The kitchen was big and easy to work in. Loved it and thank you!

Absolutely Beautiful

Weekend Getaway

Property was nice. House was decent besides the dead bugs laying around. probably could use a good deep clean. Blankets could be updated they seemed like they were from 20 years ago. We had no outdoor power at all so couldnt use that part. The ticks were ridiculous we went into the woods the first night then the next morning to try to fish which there isn't any fish but we couldn't go back into the woods due to the ticks being so overwhelming even doused in spray.

Solitude with a nice setting.

Place was fairly nice. Had an issue with significant odor coming from hot water. Talked with owner and he will probably change hot water heater. TV did not work and no instructions. Called manager who talked me thru hooking up the new satellite Dish system properly. Had to change HDMI plug. Place should come with printed TV use instructions for guests. WIFI not available which was advertised. Manager stated it was beyond their control. Outside had some hazards such as ground holes and caved in pavers, no screens on any windows which would have been nice as we had a couple of nice evenings, driveway was steep and hazardous to pull my boat up and down (needed my 4 wheel drive) due to washout which had been repaired by placing a log in washed out area. Place was nicely outfitted and AC worked well. King size bed in master was a plus. With some attention to detail this would have been a 5 star place. I VRBO a lot so this is based on my extensive renting experience.

Relaxing and responsive!

Had a great stay! It was relaxing and very homey. It was exactly what was needed for a trip to Indiana with our friends to visit a couple of our friends. Plenty of toys to keep my friends child entertained too! The living space was immaculate. One of the beds didn’t seem to have clean sheets when we arrived but when we called we got an answer on the first try and it resolved it with clean sheets in hand within minutes. Very responsive! The beautiful area with the woods nearby and overlooking a pretty field was perfect for a calling and relaxing stay.

Quiet Break From Busy Life

Quiet, beautiful property on tons of land. If you need a break from your busy life where you can unplug, then this is your place. The property is located on a huge forest lot where you can unwind and enjoy nature. Our family had a wonderful time doing a whole lot of nothing :)

Hilltop hideaway

This was a lovely property and I would love to stay again. The outdoor kitchen needs some more work but we were able to cook most of our meals on the grill top. The driveway was definitely a challenge as we were told when the check in information was sent to me. No problem for the truck. The motorcycle had to stay towards the bottom.

Beautiful-Cozy-Adventurous

My husband and I traveled with our 3 teens, every one of us felt at home here! Very relaxing home and property. We love the outdoors and took a few different hikes through the many miles of trails and really enjoyed ourselves, our kids found some neat turtles, skinks and frogs. We also got to meet Austin and Terry (property managers) and both were very pleasant and helpful with our needs! You will not be disappointed with your stay here :)

We enjoy woodworking and many of the items in our home are hand made by either Terry (father) or our son Austin. We bought this home to enjoy with family and friends and decided to update the house and the trails so we could extend our home and land to others so that they could enjoy it as much as we do.
