Enjoy the refurbished 1842 country cottage to the FMR Historic Intervale House Hotel & landmark B &B with 12 guest rooms, private baths, fireplaces & Jacuzzis. A chef's kitchen, large dining room, 3 gathering rooms, fireplaces & charm throughout. Entertain family and friends. Direct access to XC trails in winter that also lead to a sandy beach on the Saco, rolling fields & several restaurants. Amazing views & great Location, easy access to all attractions, restaurants, the Mountains, story land.

The large cottage has many attributes and amenities. The main level offers a grand foyer, guest living room, dining room with built in hutch, chef's eat in kitchen with commercial stove and outdoor deck, pantry, two refrigerators, a library with small den and 3 guest rooms.

The lower level has a great space we call the "Gathering Room". Large Fireplace, player piano, wet bar with small refrigerator, TV, games, puzzles, small bistro table and a walk out to a patio and hot tub. This level also has four guest rooms and a linen closet. On the upper level you'll find five guest rooms. Most of the floors throughout are hardwood.

The property is close to all major ski resorts. You can also x-country ski or snow show from the back door, as the trail system to the Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring Center is easily accessible. In warmer months, you can take a stroll down the adjacent path to the open fields for breath taking views of the Ledges and Presidential Mountain range.

Pricing, cleaning costs and min night stays may change based on number of guests and time of year and peak periods and holidays Can accommodate up to 26 and we also own the 1785 Inn next door.

From June 15th to Labor Day, checkout is at 10 AM to allow enough time for cleaning and same-day turnovers during our busiest season. With high demand and limited cleaners, this helps ensure the property is ready and up to standard for incoming guests.

Check out Procedures include
1. Bringing trash to the dumpster
2. We ask that you wash and place in the dryer any used towels you do not need prior to checking out (we suggest to do that the night before)
3. Run the dishwasher and clean any used pots and pans.

We had our annual Ladies Weekend, and it was Amazing..The Cabernet is the perfect place to host a group this size. We rent the Inn twice a year, for the Ladies, then for Family ski weekends...The rooms are comfy, everyone gets their own bathroom and the kitchen is a dream..Well stocked and clean..We look forward to next year already...Highly recommend The Cabernet Inn.

28th Annual Girl’s Weekend

We had an amazing time at the Cabernet…We rent with families yearly to ski, but this was the first time for us ladies…Spacious, Clean and lots of privacy!

Great place

We had a great time. Place was so spacious and perfect for all of us. We went with a couple of our friends and our adult children. We were very impressed huge kitchen to cook for all of us and everything we needed. Plenty of privacy yet homey areas to get together in. Def recommend to any large group.

Excellent home base for a large group

This was a perfect property for a large group of friends/families meeting up to ski the North Conway area. The property owners were very responsive and helpful and our group hopes to stay again in the future.

Great space for family gathering!

What a beautiful place for a large family gathering. Perfect shared space, kitchen and a bonus that each of the 12 bedrooms has its own ensuite! The location is ideal for a day of shopping, hiking or skiing. Would book the Cabernet Inn for a future family get together.

Hike weekend

A group of 11 of stayed her for our semi annual hike weekend. This house was Beautiful, clean and well equipped with everything you would need for a stay.Outside fire pit area was nice( unfortunately due to rain couldn’t utilize it) , but did use the hot tub which was clean and hot. Scott was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive when asked questions! Highly recommended this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Perfect for group outings

We rented the entire inn for a 50th birthday gathering and it was perfect! We used everything that the inn had to offer- hot tub, firepit, grill, kitchen stove/oven, bedroom spa tubs...everything! The location was beautiful and the house was exactly as described. Perfect for our outing! I would highly recommend this property!

Exceed expectations!

This is a great spot, especially for larger groups. Close to all major areas, including downtown. The inn was clean, and well maintained. There was ample room and plenty of areas for our group to gather within the inn. The large kitchen made it extremely easy to prepare meals for us all. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable Stay in NH

The Cabernet Inn is a great old house. Besides the overall charm and comfort the house offers, what really stood out was the cleanliness of all the rooms, especially the bathrooms. Kudos to the housekeeping staff! The property does need a bit of TLC and maintenance inside and out. The location is nice, close to town, but also very near the White Mountain Highway.

lovely stay for large groups!

beautiful house right off the town of North Conway. we came as 20 friends for a reunion and had a lovely time cooking and spending time together in the house, hot tub, snow tubing and exploring the town. the house is a converted inn so all the 12-13 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and there are two large common spaces with fireplaces, plus a large kitchen, to hang out in. good communication with host and clean property, exactly as pictured/described. would definitely come back!

Mini family vacation

I stayed with my children and grandchildren. Although there were a lot of us (9 adults and 9 children) there was plenty of room so everyone had their space. The rooms were clean. The kitchen was amazing! Well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, glasses, mugs. Everything we needed to cook and feed the family was there. It is an older Inn with the quaintness you look for. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. It was a very enjoyable weekend for all.

Wonderful for a group

We were 15 women for a bachelorette weekend aged 31 to 75 and every one of us enjoyed this inn. There are plenty of spaces to socialize inside and out. Very close to downtown shops and restaurants but still quiet and peaceful. A few of us hiked behind the house with our dog, and a few of the locals were doing the same with their dogs. Very peaceful area. The rooms are all charming. Owners were very responsive leading up to the weekend but slower to respond to a few minor issues during our stay. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

Family Weekend Success

Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful Inn with u. The is our 5th Annual Family/Friend Ski Weekend, although No snow we managed to have an amazing time..Lots of game and shopping. A usual the inn provide so many beautiful rooms with their own bathrooms which make a huge difference. Also the family room on the first floor worked great for the teen to play games and watch movie. We look forward to next year. Although I booked it foe Veterans Day this year ha Love the Cabernet... The Lamb Family

New Years Ski Vacation

We had a large mixed group of adults and older teens for a New Years Ski Vacation . The weather was a mix of rain and sleet but the inn had everything you needed to spread out and enjoy your time together. Folks having their own rooms and bathrooms makes a big difference when traveling with a large group. The kitchen was perfect with a commercial grade stove and griddle and 2 refrigerators. All necessary utensils were available and plenty of silverware , plates , bowls, and pans .The laundry room is set up perfectly to handle laundry for a big group as well.It’s a charming place with a lot of character. We would return!

Great place for a family gathering

Lots of room, great location. Would highly recommend this property. Everybody had their own room and bathroom and there were common areas available for gathering/game playing. The rules and warnings from the owner were a little intimidating. But if you're not running a party house you have nothing to worry about. You are asked to wash and dry towels and start sheets in the wash before you leave. Easily planned for when knowing this up front.

Great family get away

We did a long weekend with multiple generations totalling 16 people (no young kids though). We've rented a number of large houses in the area and this was one of the best. Rooms were great, like individual inn rooms rather than just large house with a lot of bedrooms. The tubs and gas fireplaces in some of the rooms were very nice. Beds and furnishings were better than we're used to. The rest of the inn worked well for us, two living room type areas for gathering, plenty of dishes etc for large group. The upstairs main living room flows into the dining area, so we could do games or conversation with all 16 of us. Kitchen is functional, but not super fancy. On the noise issues in the house rules and other reviews, we had no issues. We did visit in the winter, so we weren't using the yard very much. Finally, whichever guests made the owners add the items about parking were clearly parking in the wrong place. Parking is fine.

Great space

Check in was a little delayed due to cleaners still being there at check in time of 4 pm .. they were pleasant and allowed us to start unloading and hanging out in the lower levels while they finished the top. Most communication with the owner was answered promptly, especially anything of high importance. The rules prior to check in initially seemed like a lot but we ran into zero issues and had a great time. Would highly recommend this space and look forward to booking again in the future.
