Farmhouse in the Lake Cumberland area

Stay in a 100 year old totally remodeled and updated farmhouse in a quiet rural setting that is easily accessible from the Cumberland Parkway (Nancy exit #78). From the front porch swings you can see relaxing farm land and beautiful sunsets. The house has 3 large bedrooms ( 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs), One of the bedrooms upstairs has an extra room attached with a double bed. The house sleeps 8 comfortably. A large modern kitchen and dining and living room which are nicely furnished. There is a large fenced in area out back for dogs. The U shaped driveway is easy to navigate for boats and larger vehicles and there is plenty of parking.

The house is on the road leading to Wolf Creek Marina (15 miles) on Lake Cumberland. Nancy center has the Mill Springs National Cemetery, Mills Springs Battlefield and museum, grocery store, coffee shop, gas station, post office, pizza and home cooking restaurant are about 5 miles from the house. Pulaski County Park with hiking and lake activities is 8 miles. Somerset is 15 miles and an easy drive on the Cumberland Parkway.

A holiday retreat

We stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving holiday. Although we primarily used the house for sleeping (while visiting with family in the area during the day), I can certainly see the potential for it as a restful vacation spot while visiting the Lake Cumberland area. The home was charming, clean, and spacious, and situated on a very scenic hilltop spot.

Beautiful home & setting

This home was gorgeous & the setting even better. Would love to rent this house for a girls trip. It is much larger then it appears. The dining room & kitchen are huge. The views are wide open & stunning.

Exceeded expectations in all categories.

The property was very spacious inside. Well decorated and extremely clean. Made the stay feel like home. It was stocked with condiments and coffee, and other extras. Plenty of room to park a boat and trailer.

Going home for 89th birthday party.

Mom celebrated her 89th birthday in the area she grew up in; we picked the farmhouse because it was so close to her childhood home and high school. The farmhouse exceeded our expectations; so much charm and beauty, inside and outside. The home is spacious and has everything needed to make staying comfortable and to feel like home. We would love to make a return trip. Beautifully done and the owners were very kind and helpful. We definitely recommend this vacation home!

Beautiful Country House

This is a beautiful country house in a gorgeous country setting. The house is an old farm house beautifully renovated. The house is immaculate with a large kitchen and room enough for eight adults to stay comfortably. Has a nice dining room with large table for family meals and game nights. Enjoyed the front porch with two porch swings and gorgeous farm view. Furnishings are mainly antiques, but comfortable. Families with small children may want to take this into consideration.

Country setting

We enjoyed this country setting! We love to boat on the lake and come back to relax. We were thankful for the good food in Nancy. Milk springs pizza and cheese bread was fantastic as always. We got to try the Mexican restaurant this year and it was delicious!

Great beautiful clean home. Very spacious with al other modernization but a country home feel.

Beautiful spacious home, beautiful modern kitchen and updated bathrooms and the property is beautiful and a great view of the country. communication with owner was very positive.

Relaxing Venue

The kitchen is large and much better stocked than you normally find in a vacation rental. The yard was nice for games and the porches offer beautiful views.

Amazing property

Worth it

Couldn’t have been happier. Country setting, house is all redone perfectly down to the opposing front porch swings. From this front porch you can see an awesome sunset in the evening. I enjoyed it so much I almost didn’t want to go fishing. Will definitely go back. This place is worth the money.

Isolated but near town. Intament for families great sceneries was great. An amazing experience.ter

Terrific. Would love to do it over and over again. Try something differamt, you just might be amazed. It is unbelievable what can happen, when you just go for it.
