Lovely Lake Anna property

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The location is perfect to wake up and walk out to the dock and start fishing. The huge yard provided endless entertainment for our children. We didn’t even bring our boat but still had non-stop water fun. The fire pit was perfect for late night s’mores roasting. The kitchen is well equipped for anything you could want to make. The renovations are beautiful. And the owner is quick to respond to any questions.

Cute home for small group! Great location!

My family of 2 adults and 3 girls ages 20, 24, 23 enjoyed our stay! 1 night we hosted 2 more 20 year olds. The sleeping situation is good for a max of 2 couples plus 2 or 3 young adults (if you bring children you could utilize the trundles and add beds). The home is smallish and older but has had beautiful, modern upgrades throughout! Flooring, paint, and finishes are well done! It was wonderful to bring our Goldendoodle with us. The fenced section of sideyard was key - although not fully enclosed due to deck stairs not having a gate. (We brought a piece of baby gate and some bungee and worked it out easily). Laundry was perfect and so welcome. There were plenty of nice bedding and towels for bath and the lake. The dock is nice. We rented a boat for 4 days from Mid Atlantic, 5 minutes away, and it was easy peasy to tie up at the property. We made several big meals, everything we needed was readily available. Thanks, Jenny for a nice family trip.

The house was stunning and very comfortable for our extended family of 7 (with one special needs adult and two grandkids under 10). We had a few small issues that they tried to fix, like the water in the house, but had to order parts. Kayaks were available, but were in an old shed with hornets nests. The dock had some loose boards and the deck railing needs repair. You cannot beat the location to the water and the view. It’s also super close to everything. For the price - maybe a little high, but would go back again.

We have used VRBO many times and always had a pleasurable experience as 5-star rated guests. Inside of the property was clean and updated. However, amenities including advertised oversized games and all outdoor equipment, deck furniture and water toys, were missing, broken, totally filthy or unfit for use. The blackstone grill was covered in old grease with the grease trap cans laying on the side trays. The dock was splattered with large piles of bird droppings. The dock box top was broken off the hinges and the box contained moldy and rodent damaged floatation gear. The kayaks and canoe were thrown about the yard. One kayak had a broken seat with water and mildew inside. All outdoor furnituure cushions were dirty with mold and several were missing. The rotting storage shed was a dump site for dirty life jackets, unserviceable water toys and assorted lawn clutter literally in a heap on the floor. Several attempts to contact the absentee host failed. VRBO was contacted. They also could not reach the host. I took about 30 photos but could not send to VRBO due to spotty WiFi connection. The house has 5 internal networks, each with passwords and none that functioned reliably. If you are looking for a well maintained lakefront property with clean, serviceable outdoor amenities, DO NOT BOOK this place. After returning home I sent photos to VRBO who agreed compensation is justified. I will post photos here if possible.

Poorly maintained with broken doors, filthy kitchen, dirty kayaks, extremely old and scratched up pots/pans, cheap utensils, and horrible communication. We checked in on Friday with plans to cook a nice meal and enjoy the lake. The stove ran out of gas at 630. Upon notifying the host who found it very hard to believe that there was no gas, we spent the next four hours on the phone with VRBO and texting with the host trying to get gas. eventually got gas delivered around 11pm but not before we had to make a 20 minute trip to find an atm machine to pay the gas company because the host refused to come take care of the issue. Instead the host expected us to wait until sometime saturday to get the issue resolved. Gas company told us that the host had not refilled the propane in over a year.Internet instructions were completely wrong. Eventually host reset the internet and gave correct credentials. Meanwhile the water on the property from the faucets had an extremely pungent smell. The stench was unbearable. Turns out the host had not replaced some filters and eventually on Saturday the maintenance guy came to replace those. Stove had dead bugs on it. Master bedroom closet had a broken door just leaning against the wall. The two kayaks that are advertised were thrown down on the grass with paddles no where to be found. Dock had a broken rubber liner with nails. see pics attached. None of the lamps had bulbs. Master bdrm is missing the door curtain, Good luck sleeping

Lake House

Our family had a wonderful time here at Lake Anna. The whole house was recently updated and very nice inside. The water depth at the dock was perfect for swimming, around 4-5 feet and plenty of room to dock our boats. We had a blast.
