This was our second time staying at the Iguana House, and it was even lovelier than the first. Of the various beach houses we've stayed at in the Delaware Bay over the past five years, the Iguana House is without a doubt the nicest. It's comfortable, up-to-date, beautiful, and well-stocked. SO nice having all the beach gear there and not having to lug it from home.
The other thing we love so much about this house is the natural beauty and tranquility of the beach. There were days when we truly did not see anyone else on the beach, all day. Those neighbors we did see were so kind and welcoming! We also were fortunate to see a pufferfish who washed up on sand (we rescued him in a bucket and put him back in the ocean), a baby diamondback terrapin who hatched right behind our beach camp, and a beautiful shark that a neighbor on the beach caught and released. Not to mention the loads of sea glass and whelk shells we collected every day! This week was truly so restorative and full of simple joy. Thank you so much for hosting that, Margo and Patrick!
