Direct bay front home located in the quiet location of Slaughter Beach! Looking for an affordable water front vacation this year? This could be it! This pet friendly home is just steps away from the beach. Enjoy relaxing, swimming, and fishing right out your back door! The first floor consists of a bedroom with a queen bed, sitting area with TV, and a brand new bathroom (just finished April 2024). The garage area, also located on the first floor, is where you'll find the laundry area, and a few bikes that the owner is conveniently providing for guests to use. On the 2nd level you'll find gorgeous views of the bay off the living area, as well as, peaceful views of protected wetlands off the kitchen and dining room. There are also 3 bedrooms (2 of which have bay front views) and 1 full bath on this level. This home is pet friendly, so bring your dogs and enjoy walking and playing with them on the beach any time of day.

$200 non refundable pet fee, per pet. Dogs Only. (max 3 dogs)
A linen package can be purchased for your stay. The cost of the linen package for one week's stay is $245.40.
Guests who book will be required to purchase damage insurance, and that is included in the host fees.

Great Vacation!

The house, location and communication were all great! The owner and agent were both responsive to questions and flexible when we had a last minute schedule change, which we really appreciated. The beach was amazing and literally 50 steps from the back door.

This house is laid out well and on a nice, quiet beach. We enjoyed our stay and found the hosts to be very helpful and very nice. That said, two things prevented us from giving it 5 stars: 1) the cleaners hadn't done a very thorough job before our arrival. The mattress pad on the bed downstairs, as well as the nightstand, had what looked like cat hair all over. The kitchen and rest of the house were pretty clean though. 2) The kitchen supplies (pots, pans, utensils) were very bare-bones. It may have been because a previous guest took off with some things, as the owners brought an extra pan the day we arrived before we'd even used the kitchen. On the other hand, there was a cupboard with some gadgets (maybe an air fryer?) that we didn't use.

The house was great! We had a slight issue with a leak and the owner came out himself on Sunday night to fix it. My only suggestion is to list all of the toys you have in the garage. I wouldn’t have packed nearly what I did if I knew you had as much as you did

It was a nice stay.. some kitchen utensils like paring knife, serving spoons, pan turner that are stove size not grill size would be nice. I left my Keurig there for future renters. The fly's were really biting for 3 days so being outside was not good.

Pet friendly, family friendly

Property is convenient, easy to find, beachfront, and pet friendly. Ample parking; nice neighbors, great walking, beautiful well-appointed house. Multi level, so be prepared for stairs. We enjoyed use of the wi-fi, kitchen, grill, bicycles and of course ...the beach where you could walk some distance. House could use a few minor repairs which did not impact our stay. Management company answered questions in a timely manner and hosts were available for assistance during our stay.

Enjoyed very much but the amount of bugs tho, sheesh lol . And the distance to get to any food or stores is at least 15 mins one way. Only negatives other than that GREAT STAY!

House was very clean & well stocked. Bikes are available for use & we used them. Close location to beach. Wonderful bird watching opportunities. There is even a pair of binoculars to use. Would recommend.

Beautiful house in a beautiful place

Loved our annual stay at this house. It is right on Slaughter beach, the house is well stocked with all essentials and then more. Kitchen has everything to cook home made meals. There are no crazy 25 lines of rules to follow (just be very respectful of someone's property/belongings, leave the house clean). Over the years the owners have improved the house a lot. We visit this beach to see the Horseshoe crabs and the shorebirds that come to feast on the eggs.Our kids had a lot to do on the bay beach & there was never a dull moment. Early morning walks, late evening walks, high tide walks, low tide walks - we did them all and we still wanted more.I guess the only con is that the rental agency which handles the paperwork for this house will add on a credit card fee.Lovely house in a beautiful place, we wish the house owners and Slaughter beach the very best.

We had a great stay. The property is at a nice location. There is so much scope for improvements in the backyard that can take the experience to next level.

Quiet and beautiful

We took a mother's /daughter trip and stayed in this beautiful house. Our girls were playing field hockey at the DE Turf which was only 20min away. The house was clean and beautiful inside. You could see the beach from the living room. We walked up and down the beach checking out the tide pools. It was my 1st time seeing actual conch shells and horseshoe crabs. It was amazing. The one basement living area smelled like a basement but the upstairs was perfect. There is not a lot around, so be sure to shop for food before you get in. We flew in late and arrived at night. As I was rereading the check in procedure (very easy) I saw that the owner does not need to provide paper products. I was so nervous we wouldn't have tolietpaper and there were no stores out there. Luckily they had toilet paper. Also be aware that the house does not come with sheets and towels. It was my first time dealing with that in a VRBO unit. We ended up paying extra to get those to be provided. You then put your own sheets on the beds. There was also a coffee maker with coffee. These things as well as toiletries were things I assumed would be there, but I should have checked first. So learn from my mistakes. Luckily the hosts had everything we needed and more. We were very thankful. I would stay there again

Quiet beach front home

Good location and nice and quiet. The house was clean enough. I found the Swiffer to take care of some bugs near the ceiling in the living room. Ceiling fans and TV area could have used some dusting. But overall ok. Tub area is a little slick and could use some grab bars and a mat. Views are beautiful. Access to the beach is a little challenging for someone like me. The steps down need a handrail and the sand is quite soft getting to it. As such I wasn't able to use it. But there is a safer access point down the road by the fire station. Overall nice house, dog friendly, with good views.

A quick getaway for some R&R

This home was well appointed for our stay, had everything we needed. It is in a safe, remote area, private and quiet, with direct access to the bay. 3 stars for booking. Reserved on VRBO and was told we would get confirmation within 24 hrs. We didn’t, so I made an inquiry with VRBO. 2 days later, I received a emailed response with a contract from a real estate company who apparently handle the rental. We were charged $200 from VRBO as well as $95 with real estate company for the reservation processing fee, along with the other expected fees…Not happy about that, never happened before w/vacation rentals, and came too late with their response (real estate co.) to my inquiry to cancel. 5 star Owners we accessible by phone resolving an issue. Very nice people who have provided a lovely home away from home to enjoy!

Very quiet and peaceful

This house is located in a quiet and very little traffic area. Beach is nice except some horseshoe crabs. Beautiful sunrises and stones on beach. Dog friendly beach and home. Easy access to beach but little difficult going down steps to beach. Set up of house perfect. Weather was good..windy which kept bugs away. Some bugs. House supplied bikes, helmets and beach chairs. Relaxing

The house was amazing the beach was beautiful. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Two small repairs that we noticed. The door facing the road needs some repair - the door molding seemed very flimsy. The stairs going down to beach needed some repair. The last two steps were rocks and a cinderblock - potential hazard.

Great Family Location

This house suited our mini family reunion perfectly! The street is extremely quiet and peaceful and it felt like we had our own private beach. The house had everything we needed with plenty of space for everyone. The only issue was the staircase down to the beach. Due to what looks like some damage, it was difficult to navigate with children and beach gear. Aside from that small issue, we very much enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning!

Perfect!

Easy check in and check out process. Rental is furnished appropriately to make you feel like it’s your home away from home. Our dog loved walking the beach on every walk! Locals were super friendly! Will be back!

Great house

Liked home. Slaughter beach not what I’m used to Easy check in and out. Many amenities lots of room for families.
