If you are looking for a waterfront house on a flat lot, beautiful park like setting, this is for you! It’s an open floor plan, with a lot of character and charm. It has a private dock and is on an acre of land - plenty of parking as well as boat parking.
3 BR 2 full baths, sleeps 6.
No wake cove right off the main channel. We are less than a mile from the Smith Mountain Lake state park, 10 min from Virginia Dare Cruises and Marina, a few min from Mariners Landing Golf Club.
3 Kayaks and 2 SUPs and a tube for your use!
Enjoy peaceful evenings by the fire pit after a busy day playing in the lake.
If you love wildlife, you will love our house- deer come around regularly, as well as ducks, and blue herons. You can fish, walk, bike or run in the neighborhood (my favorite morning run goes to the end of each point off Planters rd overlooking the water).
You are welcome to tie your boat on our dock as well.

Fun getaway

Beautiful property with easy water access. The house was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and pots/pans. Kayaks were available which was really nice. We would definitely stay here again. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Place to Stay

We had a great visit to lake and the house was PERFECT!! The house is in a great cove, lots of lake toys and we could tie off our boat. Everything in the house worked perfectly!!! Exactly what we wanted for vacation.

We had a great stay at this lake house with 4 adults and our dog. The home was a good size, and we enjoyed grilling and relaxing by the firepit after days on the water. Linens and towels were adequate, and the host was very responsive. A couple of notes: the ice maker doesn’t work (so bring ice), and trash must be taken to a nearby dump site. We recommend bringing toiletries and lake towels, but otherwise the house has everything you need for a fun, relaxing getaway. Highly recommended and we’d gladly come back again!

Nice stay

A nice lake home with great lake access. The dock storage unit was well equipped for all the things you would need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen was very small, but clean. Appliances could be replaced. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, a nice place to stay on the lake. You must transport your trash to a trash facility about 4 miles away.

Excellent choice

Husband and very cute wife stayed for duration friends and family joined for partial week. Loved that we were 5 minutes from SML state park. We took several morning walk/hikes and spent afternoons floating or kayaking House is clean comfortable and relaxing. Definitely will return. Loved the deck. thanks for a wonderful week.

Great family vacation

Such a fun stay and a great property. We utilized all the house had to offer, which is a lot! We loved using the kayaks and the SUP in the beautiful calm cove. Used the provided tube with our rental boat. The fire pit was awesome in the evening, and the TV set up was great for watching some football! Outdoor dining was very pleasant. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location. Sleeping accommodations were quite comfortable. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the appliances (especially refrig door and slow heating oven) could use a little attention, and the grill heats unevenly due to some corroded parts. But overall this was a fabulous place to stay and we hope to come back again. This was the third property we’ve rented at Smith Mountain Lake and offered the best experience.

Fantastic House

The house was perfect, clean and well maintained. Loved being tucked away in a cove with little boat traffic. Kids were able to jump off the dock and enjoy the lake. The boat house is filled with everything you need, floats, kayaks, paddle boards, chairs etc. we had a great time!

Another great SML vacation

This is our second time staying at this wonderful property. It has a gentle slope to the dock which was exactly what we needed for my 6 year old grandson with mild cerebral palsy. Both my grandsons LOVED the dock and swimming in the lake. This property has shallow water which was perfect for my grandchildren (6 and 2) who could safely jump into the water…again and again! In addition, it gave us the opportunity to teach the 6 year old how to float and dog paddle! Thank- you!! The owners offered many water toys for us to use, kayaks, tubes, floats. We were never bored at the lake! The home is well appointed, clean and well stocked so we didn’t need to bring anything but food. The mature trees overhanging the deck offered wonderful shade during our meals. The owners allow pets, which for my family, is an added feature since we couldn’t imagine a family vacation without our beloved family pets!! S’mores at the fire pit was a great way to end our vacation!! Thank-you Mariana!!

Relaxing and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at Smith Mountain Lake. The house was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the lake with our family. The beds and furniture are VERY comfortable! My son now wants a new mattress after our stay! The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Check-in and check-out process was very easy.

Gem on the water

Clean, cozy home met all of our needs. The location is fantastic with beautiful water views and a short walk to the dock. Enjoyed cruising the lake by pontoon, fishing, and local activities (antiquing, restaurants, D-Day Memorial, Booker T. Washington Memorial, Peaks of Otter etc). A great week away from the city and the kitchen knives are actually sharp!! Awesome!

Great waterfront location for vacationing at Smith Mountain Lake

Our family of four had a great time. Mariana is a wonderful host and very quick to respond to any questions. Perfect location to explore the area with its own dock. Great outdoor amenities, well stocked, cozy kitchen and lots of space to chill out in. The upper loft bedroom has an en suite and king size bed. Two downstairs bedrooms are also a good size. Close to restaurants, marinas, the beach at the state park, and other local attractions!

SML Va- Kay

Cute little house plenty of room for six adults. Great location two minutes from Smith mountain lake State Park. All the amenities were well stocked kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, lounge chairs, beach chairs, umbrella very convenient. The fire ring and chairs were great very accommodating property owners. Highly recommend you consider this for your next VACATION at Smith Mountain Lake.

So much fun!

We had a great time here! Rented a pontoon boat and tubed on the lake daily. Had a fire for s'mores one night. Loved the decks. Comfortable beds. Loved the loft bedroom.
