Beautiful Lakefront home for you and your family to enjoy. New Construction in pristine condition.
Take the paved winding path down to the double dock for some fun in the sun or relax with your favorite book on the screened porch overlooking the pine woods. Spacious accommodations - upstairs and downstairs living area with a bonus bunkie room to accommodate the littles. Gourmet, well-appointed kitchen for the chef in the family.
A Paddle-board, a Canoe and Two Kayaks provided, though you will need to bring your own life jackets.
Community pool and additional lake access included in rental.

Pack those fishing poles! Bass bite year-round.

For those who love wintertime adventures, we are a short daytrip from Beech and Sugar Mountain. Enjoy skiing, sledding, snow tubing, ice skating and more!

Of note: The walk to the lake from the home is paved, but is sloped at two points. Several wooden steps lead down from the end of the path to the dock. Please plan accordingly.

We arrived to find the perfect spot for our girls weekend. The house is beautiful and well appointed. There was even a slushie machine! The outdoor areas were really comfy and we enjoyed the screened in area. This is a great spot for families with children over 8. They're are lots of games including rock band and a stand up deer hunter. The dock was great. There were kayaks and a paddle board. The only downside was the path to the lake. It was very steep. I can't wait to visit again!

Such a wonderful stay. Home is fully stocked with essentials and so warm and welcoming. Veiw was amazing once mastering the walk down to the lake. We wanted a place to relax and thats exactly what we were able to do. Our kids (3,6,11,15) were content with all the things and didnt want to leave.

The address is hard to spot and gps took us past the home upon arrival, but we knew by the picture on vrbo. The home is beautiful with lots of room for everyone and there were plenty of bathrooms. MB is upstairs and others are downstairs, which is huge. Path to the stairs that lead to the dock is steep in two places, and has 64 stair steps before reaching the dock. Some of our party managed the trek multiple times a day without issues-6 yr old, 20-30yrs, and 64 yr old. A hand or a rope rail would be nice on the steep areas. We walked to the pool and back as well. Outside downstairs has plenty of seating with a lovely daybed and two fire pits. It rained three days which was the perfect time to relax on that gorgeous porch. Our day trip included Little Switzerland for lunch then a stop by Tom Creek Falls on the way back. We rented a boat for a day at Lake James Boat rentals. The lake is the main character and did not disappoint. It was beautiful and everyone in our party had a great time.

The house was clean and well furnished. The walk to the dock is STEEP. We managed well with four adults and four teens but cannot imagine having small children or older adults.

Beautiful property!

Loved our stay! The house is beautiful and clean and was a great place for us to stay! The path to the lake was very steep in a couple of places but the dock area was awesome! We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards and just hanging out in the quiet cove.

This property was absolutely amazing. Everything was as expected and our family had a wonderful weekend. The only inconvenience was the the steep walk to the lake. It was extremely difficult to climb back up, but we made it!

The biggest issue with this property is the lake access. The hill from the house to the lake is EXTREMELY steep—so steep that the lake was not realistically usable the way you’d expect when renting a lake house. We couldn’t carry a cooler or much of anything down, and the climb back up was incredibly strenuous. You also cannot see the lake from the house. Anyone elderly, with a heart condition, mobility limitations, or difficulty with steep inclines may not be able to access the lake at all. This needs to be MUCH more clearly disclosed in the listing. Had we understood the severity of the hill, we would not have booked.There were positives: the dock itself was great, the host was responsive, and the kitchen had lots of extras.Unfortunately, there were several other issues. There wasn’t enough toilet paper, soap, or towels for our group. There are really only two full bathrooms. The beds were uncomfortable, and one queen bed appeared to be broken. The advertised game room had a dartboard but no darts, and some amenities weren’t available.The house was also confusing. I had to contact the host three times for basic things like how to turn on lights and where the community pool was. A detailed house guide is definitely needed.Overall, the lake access was the biggest disappointment and felt very misleading.

Anna, I’m sorry to hear your stay did not meet the five-star experience we aim to provide. I’ve reviewed the listing, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are accurately represented, but I will go through everything again carefully to make sure nothing could be clearer. Our remotes and light switches are labeled, but I’ll double-check those as well. I’ll also follow up with our cleaning team regarding the toiletries and inspect the queen bed again. We’ve consistently received very positive feedback on our Nectar gel-foam mattresses, although I completely understand that mattress comfort is unique to each individual. This is our personal home and I do wish you had reached out to me during your stay if something seemed amiss. I’m always available to help troubleshoot or address concerns, and I would have appreciated the opportunity to make things right while you were there. The pool is the community amenity listed and was fully operational near the neighborhood entrance. I’m sorry if the distance to the lake or the mountain setting was different from what you expected. I certainly never want a guest to feel misled, so I will review the listing again to make sure those details are as clear as possible. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time! The property was gorgeous and the house was well stocked. The dock was great and perfect for the boat we rented while there. We could have definitely spent a few more days there.

Lovely retreat

We had a great stay at this home-you will feel like you’re in an oasis sitting on the screened in porch. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The house is spotless and the hosts have been so thoughtful with making sure the home feels just like what it is- a true home away from home. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to be back in the near future!

Nice Getaway

Really enjoyed our stay for a couple of days. I do want to reiterate that the walk to the dock is very steep with lots of stairs but beautiful once you get down there. We tried to minimize our trips down there to once down and once back up. Host very responsive and very nice house.
