Beautiful Lakefront home for you and your family to enjoy. New Construction in pristine condition.
Take the paved winding path down to the double dock for some fun in the sun or relax with your favorite book on the screened porch overlooking the pine woods. Spacious accommodations - upstairs and downstairs living area with a bonus bunkie room to accommodate the littles. Gourmet, well-appointed kitchen for the chef in the family.
A Paddle-board, a Canoe and Two Kayaks provided, though you will need to bring your own life jackets.
Community pool and additional lake access included in rental.

Pack those fishing poles! Bass bite year-round.

Nice Getaway

Really enjoyed our stay for a couple of days. I do want to reiterate that the walk to the dock is very steep with lots of stairs but beautiful once you get down there. We tried to minimize our trips down there to once down and once back up. Host very responsive and very nice house.

Beautiful property!

Loved our stay! The house is beautiful and clean and was a great place for us to stay! The path to the lake was very steep in a couple of places but the dock area was awesome! We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards and just hanging out in the quiet cove.

Lovely retreat

We had a great stay at this home-you will feel like you’re in an oasis sitting on the screened in porch. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The house is spotless and the hosts have been so thoughtful with making sure the home feels just like what it is- a true home away from home. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to be back in the near future!

Wonderful new house on a quite cove

Very well appointed house that was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and had new appliances. Host was very easy to work with and accommodating. Great neighborhood a lots of privacy. We loved it! The path to the lake is steep in places but is easier after you've done it once or twice. Very quiet cove with deep water. Beautiful! and a double decker dock!

Lake James Waterfront Home

It as a long walk to the boat dock but well worth it. 2 SUPs with adjustable paddles, 2 kayaks with paddles, 1 3-person canoe were all on the dock for our use. House was spacious.

Beautiful house on an amazing lake

New house with beautiful furnishings and roomy for 10 or more if needed. Plenty of places to hang out including two living rooms, a screened in porch and a downstairs area where you can cook out and have a bonfire. All the beds were comfortable. The owners are very nice and attentive. Jumping off the pier, kayaking, and renting a boat were highlights.

Great get a way!

Absolutely loved the property! Jennifer was an amazing host! Home was well appointed and clean and beds super cozy. It was quite a steep walk to the lake....but worth it. And check out the 4th bedroom....it is only good for small kiddos as it is quite tight. Thanks for a fantastic vacation in your lovely home!

Two Weeks of fun

Rented lake house for 2 weeks to allow for different schedules of my family members. Long walk to dock but well worth it. Kids enjoyed jumping off upper level. Was able to keep my jet ski under dock for entire 2 weeks. SUPs and Kayaks got lots of use.

Beautiful Home

We had a minor issue with a smoke detector during our stay. The host immediately resolved. This was greatly appreciated! The home is beautiful, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the dock and access to the kayaks. Though as others have commented the walk to the dock and back is daunting.

Lovely new lake house with Great Lake toys

This was a beautiful new property with all the amenities. The dock is a steep walk down from the house, but well worth it once you get there. Having the paddle boards and canoe for the full stay made for nice lazy days in the sunshine. One of the kids rooms is more of a closet than a room, so we made the lower family room into a teen bedroom. Jennifer was super helpful and accomodating!

Beautiful experience

The view was breathtaking from above the lake. Everything was in great condition except the dishwasher was not working. The owner did their best to try and find someone to fix it over a holiday weekend. It really was okay. We hand washed the dishes.

Great lake house!

Our group really enjoyed reading/ napping on the screened porch. You can hear the lake from the porch but not really see it because of the density of the trees. We also spent a lot of time on the lake kayaking, swimming and paddle boarding. It is a steep path but worth it. We cooked all our meals in the well equipped kitchen and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. My only negative is that the 4th bedroom is not really a bedroom. My teen daughters were supposed to stay there but it is so small that one of them opted for the couch.

Steep

The house was spacious, clean, well done. The kitchen was above aver For a rental property, great cookware! We had more beds than we could sleep in and the novelty of sleeping in a closet charmed one of the kids! I loved the screened in porch and lights down to the dock. The dock was great, we enjoyed jumping from the top and paddle boarding. Our only problem was the extremely steep walk between the house and dock. Not for anyone with a mobility issue.

Great House!

The owner was responsive and helpful. The house is new and clean. The furniture is great. There is plenty of space for family and kids with two living spaces. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. The neighborhood pool is nice. The dock is new. We rented a boat and kept it at the dock overnight. The path to the house is a bit steep and could use a hand rail on the steep sections. Kids and elderly may find it difficult to navigate. Overall, great place!

Incredible Lake Home

This was our first visit to Lake James, and it was absolutely wonderful. The home is beautiful, everything you could need or want for the perfect lake stay. The highlight for us was the dock/boat house that all of us enjoyed (ages 9 to 45!). We rented a boat and were able to dock it right at the house all week long (highly recommended Lake James Boat Rentals/Marina). We spent all day every day on the water doing water sports, and enjoyed sunsets and cookouts out back every evening. The kids all loved jumping off the dock, paddle boarding, and kayaking around the cove. The location of the home is perfect with the cove it’s on. The owners clearly take very good care of this home, and they were very kind and easy to communicate with. Best VRBO experience in a decade! We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend a week with family and friends. We cannot wait to come back!

Pictures don’t do justice!

This was a beautiful property in a beautiful location. Unlike many mountain properties, this was very easy to get to. We were impressed with this beautiful and comfortable home. It was the perfect place for our family to spend time together. We will need to go back and spend more time to do all the activities available here. Jenn was the BEST host! She responded to all questions, both before and during our stay within minutes and was always eager to assist. Walkway to lake is challenging but worth it and also typical for ANY property in this area. I am 67 and not in great shape but made the walk several times a day. House is well stocked and offers more activities than we able to do. Definitely would use again and recommend to others!

The beautiful lake house on the hill

This was a beautiful house on and even more beautiful lake! The house was well appointed with plenty of chairs, towels, beds, tv’s and everything else you’ll need. Jennifer, the host was very easy to communicate with and provided us with everything that we needed. The water area is lovely, the dock was a blast! This house comes with a very high end aluminum dock with two gates that open from the top for jumping, and the depth is plenty to handle it. Just as a few others have stated, the hill to get down to the lake is real beast! Be sure to pack everything that you’ll need for the whole day. Not sure I’d recommend this house for anyone who’s not in pretty good shape seeing how steep the hill was! The nearest grocery store is a solid 20 min away so keep that in mind, make a list and make that trek. We enjoyed the brewery that was 10 min down the road and they had a food truck there that made some great pizzas! Even with the hill I think it’s worth it! We will be looking to come back if we ever make it back out that way!

Sweet Relaxation

We were looking for a relaxing vacation and time to reconnect with family after our long separation due to COVID. The house was perfect for that. It’s new construction, so it is perfectly clean. The screened in porch was our favorite lounging spot. There are enough spaces/rooms so that we could all get our alone time too. The lake is so gorgeous! It was wonderful to have the canoe and the paddle boards to keep us entertained. The only drawback is the insanely steep walk down to the dock. I’m fit and in my mid 40s, so it wasn’t trouble for me or my kids. But we did have 3 people in their 70s, one being my father who had a brain injury a year ago and has limited mobility. This is not a great place for those who are elderly or those with mobility issues if you’re looking for a place to easily access the water. Other than that, I’d certainly recommend this place and would love to return sometime!

A lake retreat equipped with everything you need and then some

Simply put, this house and property was amazing. The house, which was built in 2019, wasn't just nice for a rental property—it was luxurious for a regular house! The setup is extremely well thought out and completely conducive to relaxation and enjoyment, especially if you like to cook (as my group did). The kitchen has all of the essentials and more, including a bench scraper just in case you want to bake some bread during your stay! The covered porch is huge and a perfect place to play cards, board games, or just hang out. And I haven't even mentioned the two-story dock, which is perfect for fishing (several in our group caught a few) and enjoying the lake. It also comes equipped with multiple paddleboards and a canoe-kayak. Communication was exceptional. When we had some issues turning on the fireplace, the owners got back to us immediately with suggestions, even offering to take us through the process of resetting the pilot light via FaceTime. This is without a doubt the best rental property I've ever stayed at. If we come back to Lake James, we will definitely be staying here again!
