Secluded Waterfront: Private Dock & Trails

Stunning open water and mountain views from the decks and private dock in a secluded gated community. Centrally located on the lake with easy access to all areas. Swim, boat, kayak, fish, hike, and bike right from the property. Platform dock with 1 kayak included. Pontoon and jet ski rentals available at nearby marinas- lift not available to guests. Open kitchen and living with lake views, master suite on main level, family room and 2 bedrooms on lower level. Ping pong table included!
Booking reservation/registration requires positive ID of responsible party. All contact information is required, including address.

Hot tub is not available for guest use.

Boat trailers are not allowed to be parked in the driveways, if you bring a boat, you will need to secure off site parking. The manager can send you information on a location and costs.*

1- No loud noise disturbances
2- No vehicles parked on the sides of the street or curbs
3- No fireworks
4- No groups that exceed the septic permit (6 in this case)
5- You must observe the no wake zones inside coves
6- You must observe the speed limits posted

Great Week!

This property was perfect for our family. Plenty of room, great location with view of the lake, well maintained. This was our second stay at this property, and we would highly recommend it!

Lake James Adventure

Great location for a lake house. A dozen muffins and popcorn on arrival, usable kayaks, nice outdoor areas, very clean accommodations, amenity list was accurate, & beautiful views. We immensely enjoyed our stay here!

Relaxing vacation on the lake

Great stay on Lake James. The house was perfect for us with a wonderful host. We had meals on the deck every day and enjoyed the dock with kayaks to make our way around the lake. Guide book with all we could ask for in terms of recommendations and easy to get what we needed. Overall wonderful vacation.

Restful Week

This was a great location for a relaxing week prior to our scheduled move from one house to another. We enjoyed just floating in the lake in the morning and afternoon. Great house with ample amenities!

Awesome house and wonderful location.

The Lake James home was perfect for our 4 day stay. The hiking in the state park was so close and so beautiful, even in December. While we didn’t use the lake, we appreciated the lake views from the home’s living areas and 2 bedrooms.We would love to come back when the weather is warm!

Thanksgiving on Lake James

Our family of 6 adults spent a wonderful Thanksgiving week here. We loved the view, dock, deck off the living space & beautiful house. All 6 of us "work from home" so appreciated the 2 levels, extra downstairs office & 2 living rooms. The house is clean & well appointed. Our family greatly appreciated having the bike/hiking trails near the house. If you are a cook then you will find the kitchen a little small for 6 adults but not much of a drawback. We would definitely rent this home again.

Amazing Lake House

This house and location was amazing!! It was very spacious!! It has 3 bedrooms downstairs and the master on the main level. Plenty of space for everyone. The lake was beautiful. There were kayaks for use, and the kids loved the slide on the dock. We rented a pontoon boat for the week, and were able to keep it at the dock at the house. There was fresh kettle corn and muffins upon arrival. The kitchen had everything needed to cook every meal, and also a grill to use on the deck. The host was available to answer any questions that we had and gave us a list of activities in the area. We would definitely stay here again!! Our family can’t wait to go back!!

Wonderful for families!

The house was great for our family of 6. Spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of cozy blankets and games for a rainy day, but the dock with the slide was the kid’s favorite. They spend the entire time fishing off the dock and sliding into the lake! There are 3 bedrooms downstairs for the kids with a full bath, and the master suite upstairs was quite large. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The host was amazing! We checked in to find homemade muffins and kettle corn - which the kids devoured and fought over the last one! There was a binder with plenty of suggestions for things to do. It was raining quite a bit during our stay, so we found a pamphlet for the Linville Caverns not too far away and the kids were absolutely amazed. It was cool to show them what the inside of a mountain looks like. The boys are fascinated by rocks, so that earned major points for mom & dad! The lake is so clean and beautiful- it’s one of our very favorite places to go. My husband is a fishing fanatic and he was able to catch a few bluegill and smallmouth bass and a catfish or 2. It was a wonderful time for our family despite being rained out almost the whole weekend. We got to enjoy the inside snuggled up watching tv with the kids. We made some great memories there and we are sure to go back again. I definitely recommend this house for an enjoyable weekend on the lake !!!!
