For our ideal retirement nest or just chill-out location, we searched all over Mexico during & after our visits, since our first visit in 1981. We got more serious in the past few years & found our hacienda away from all the bustle, but still close to a neat growing modern city, Puerto Vallarta. We liked our Suites de Mita muy mucho! So we plunged... we bought it, gutted it & brought it back to life with a Mexican, Newfie, African Flair! If you have access to Google Maps Street View, there may still be an ole photo of what our hacienda looked like before the renos. It sure was a challenge but entirely satisfying experience.
