Scallop and Fishing Paradise

The Shells N Tails Rental home is perfect for fishermen or families looking for a relaxing vacation. Located on 1st Street W, this quiet and peaceful home is within walking distance of the boat ramp. The boat ramp is fully restored and operational. Be on the water in minutes after leaving the home.

Steinhatchee offers some great fishing opportunities. Steinhatchee Marina and Sea Hag Marina are near the home, with boat rentals and fishing guides available. Boat slips are also available for renting at these locations.

There is plenty of parking for your boat or golf cart, both under this stilted home and in front of the home. (Please note the home has a 10ft clearance underneath.) Security cameras are located on premises for your protection and your boats security.

The Shells N Tails Rental is located in a quiet 4 unit complex. There are 2 homes in each unit, similar to a duplex. The 1200 sq. ft. townhome is located on the left side of the green home in 205A.

The Master bedroom contains a king size bed with an on-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. A second bathroom is located across from the front bedroom. In the living room, a full pull-out sofa bed is also available. Comfortable sheets are supplied for all beds. Fresh towels and wash clothes are supplied in both bathrooms. Hotel toiletries are offered for those forgotten items.

We are happy to say we now have fiber optic high-speed internet, which is great for watching the sports games we just can't miss. The satellite TV in the living room is on Dish Network and has streaming capabilities to use your favorite apps. Another TV is located in the Master Bedroom and works with several apps.

After spending a long day on the Gulf, cook or grill your fresh catch. Basic amenities are stocked in the kitchen. A new propane grill is located on the back porch. Table and chairs are also located on the back porch in case you would like to dine outside.

If you are ready to get on the water, this fishing paradise is for you.

This house was amazing beautifully located and had everything you would need. My only complaints was not being able to adjust the ac and not having trash pickup but thankfully the neighbors let us use there trash service. Other than those two issues it was a great stay.

Thank you for your review. I agree that the trash situation in Steinhatchee is a problem. As I describe in my listing and in the Welcome letter, Steinhatchee is still a small town with no public trash pickup. The trash cans you describe are a private service that is very costly. There is a big problem with random people driving by and dropping their trash in these cans. Have you ever smelled a trash can full of fish and scallop remains in 100 degree weather? We try to offer another solution by supplying, on the refrigerator, directions and a drop off sticker to carry off the trash. We hope you had a great time. Pamela

First time Scalloping in the “Hatch”!Property is exactly as described. Very spacious and cozy. It had all the amenities we needed to cook, including gas grill, lounge, and extras (like games, beach towels). Great location. It’s about 2 blocks from Deadman’s Marina. This is marina where we chartered a 4 hr scalloping trip with Captain Les of Hatch Snatch Charters. Highly recommend booking with Capt Les. The Captain ensured we harvested our limit and provided a very fun and SAFE experience!! We also rented a golf cart from Puddin’s Hatch Wagons. It was fun to drive around town to the couple marinas, restaurants, & shops. Restaurants had live music on weekends. Host was very welcoming and very responsive. Highly recommend this wonderful property & we look forward to returning here next year. Scallops beware…

Our home is located away from the bar scene on a quiet street. After a long day on the water it is a great place to relax.

If you have ever been in Steinhatchee during Scallops Season then you know what a challenge parking can become at the boat ramp. Since this home is located within walking distance of the boat ramp, when there is no parking there, you can bring your trailer back to the home. Also, since we are near to the entrance of Deadman's Bay then you can be on the Gulf in minutes instead of navigating the no wake zones.
