Tybee Lighthouse Cottage (B): Walk to the Beach!

From the moment you step through the doorway, you feel at home, as if you have always lived in a cottage by the sea. The gentle smell of salt air and the cozy interior inspire you to embrace the care-free island life. Slow down, cook a great meal, walk to the beach, drink a beer. This is living on Tybee time!

This beach cottage is great for a small family or a group of friends. Sleeps up to 6 in 2 big bedrooms, each with a comfortable king bed. There is a full-size sofa bed in the living room.


The space
KITCHEN: Fully stocked with cookware, utensils and everything you need to prepare the perfect beach meal.

LAUNDRY: Full-sized Washer and dryer.

BEACH: Located about two blocks around the Lighthouse to the beach. Just a short stroll.

LAYOUT: 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and full bath.

Amenities:
Located at the quieter end of the island with a lovely Lighthouse view.

BEACH GEAR: Beach carts, chairs, coolers and some toys are available. It is best to bring your favorite beach chairs if there is one you love.

LOCATION: Fort Screven Historic District – Restored Old Fort Screven historic property. Easy walk, just about 5 minutes, to a beautiful beach.

EXTERIOR: Large fenced backyard shaded by a giant magnolia tree. There is a park-style charcoal grill and table/chairs with umbrella.

MEDIA: Cable TV and WiFi provided.

A/C: Cool down after the beach with strong A/C and plenty of ceiling fans.

OUTDOOR SHOWER: Enclosed outdoor shower within the fenced backyard. This is shared with Cottage A.

Guest access
You have the cottage along with the front porch and the backyard. There is also parking for 3 cars right at your door, onsite. There is direct access to the backyard, however, we do share the outdoor shower with Cottage A. The shed houses some beach carts and gear. These are first-come, first-serve and only provided as a courtesy. I do not guarantee availability or condition. Tim's Bike and Beach Gear will deliver bikes, chairs, carts, etc to our home free of delivery charge and you can schedule a pick-up time for your check out. This is a really easy and convenient way to enjoy the beach without having to buy or bring your beach gear.

Other things to note
Tybee Lighthouse Cottage (B) is an easy walk to the beach and to lots of parks including a fun children's playground and community ballpark.

Tybee Cottage

Efficient, cozy, and the perfect getaway spot for a quiet stay outside of Savannah. The front porch may have been my favorite spot...it was like a fragrant hug from nature to welcome me every morning as e made our way out to discover the many beautiful spots around the area. A short walk to the beach,great food, and live music if you're looking for a little something to move you. Surrounded by history and mystery.The house had everything we needed to cook at home, entertain during passing storms, etc. I would absolutely stay at this cottage again and hope to come back soon fto explore a bit more of the island and surrounding areas.Thank you Tybee island lighthouse cottage for a lovely stay in a home away from home. Anniversary trip

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood and a 3 minute walk to the beach. We had amazing weather and a lot of great memories.

Beautiful view of Tybee Lighthouse!

We had a wonderful short stay over Christmas break. The duplex was cozy for our family of five. Pros: plenty of kitchen items, beach items in shed, washer/dryer, five min walk to lighthouse and beachCons: really creaky beds(when sitting or laying), porch could have been cleaned better(cleaned cushions and leaves/dirt blown off), dated kitchenWe had some delayed communication issues, but it was resolved. If you are a lighthouse or daily walk on the beach person, I recommend this property!

living room furniture is showing wearing, however all was very clean and comfortable. It's within a good 1/2 mile walk to the lighthouse, and close to a mile walk to the museum and beach. if you drive to beach it's an $4 a hour parking, with a min of 2 hrs. paid parking is all over Tybee from 8 am to 8 pm at $4 an hour.

Perfect!!

This is the perfect beach house. It is exactly what I envision when I think of a beach house. We had an amazing time! Communication is prompt with the owner. I highly recommend this beach home. It's absolutely lovely!

Walking Distance to Beautiful Beach

We loved our stay here. The house is peaceful, has everything you might need, and is in walking distance to a beautiful beach. The host was very responsive and friendly. I would stay here again.

Perfect get away

The house was clean and quiet, fully stocked with all things "beach", extremly family friendly. It was great having a kitchen to reduce some if the eating out costs (and to have coffee every morning). The washer dyer access was really nice and more then anything the atmosphere was just totally relaxed, it waa close to the beach ans lighthouse, easy to get in to downtown Savannah and definitely somewhere we would book again.

Great location

We absolutely loved our time in tybee as usual. We really enjoyed the location of this house because we could easily access the beach in two areas. The house had a nice cottage feel to it. It had all the things you would need plus borrowed beach items. We had a little trouble with the wifi but it eneded up not really being an issue since we were rarely in the house anyway. Plenty of room to park

This place is great. Its a simple house. We really used it only for sleeping and showering. No cooking or anything, so i cant speak for any of that. Location is great. Hop skip and a jump away from Savannah. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach. Only small issues with the condition of the house, but its seriously nothing. One of the bedroom doors was a little sticky. Ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms was a smidge wobbly. But who cares. Beds were comfortable. House was cozy. If youre on the fence, book it.

Comfortable and quiet

An awesome little cottage in a very nice quiet part of North Beach. Plenty of parking we brought our trailer with our motorcycle on it with plenty of room to spare the cottages. Very nice in the beds were very comfy. Joey was awesome to deal with will definitely stay there again.

Perfect spot!

Joey's place was a perfect setting for a laid back week long stay in Tybee. Quiet and just a quick walk or golf cart ride to the beach. It was just right for our family.

Quaint Cottage in Great Location!

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tybee Island Cottage! It truly is a short walk to the beach and you can see the historic lighthouse from the porch. The neighborhood is quiet and very walkable. Our host was very accommodating to let us leave our car parked after checkout so we could enjoy biking Tybee before returning home. If you’re lucky enough to book this place—HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Nice beachy cottage! Great location!

Clean and comfortable. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. Nicely decorated. All the dishes and cookware you need. Easy walk to the beach, the lighthouse & museum, & the marine sanctuary (8 minutes per Google maps). There are no sidewalks so if you have little kids, be aware. Overall very pleased with the location and the accommodations. Can’t wait to come back for another stay!

Nice location walking distance from lighthouse. Lovely front porch, adequately stocked kitchen, good washer and dryer, enough towels, pleasant interior design. Some repairs and upkeep needed but overall a good value. We would stay again.

Cold Spell Sabotaged our stay

No fault of any human…. Deep freeze made havoc in power, which affected heating and without that….pipes froze.

It is a good place to visit the shore and stay for a wedding at the chapel…

The beds were comfortable and everything Was easy to get around Tybee…,the owner answered all questions promptly . Enjoyed the lighthouse visit and beach.
