Excellent view with close central location. Very quiet soundproof home. Wonderful responsive management systm. Didn’t have to search for them. Sarah initiated communication querying of any needs. Will definitely use them for future rental inquiries.

Wonderful months long stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: With my company's new remote work policy, I enjoyed several months at 3096 Sanctuary by the bay. The location is great, being just moments to the Rec trail, stores and restaurants. Wifi was perfect for all those zoom calls, made much more enjoyable with ocean views. You won't want to leave!

Quick and very friendly responses from all the Sanctuary vacation employees.

We loved the house and location. The view was breathtaking and we were within walking distance of lovers point and cannery row. However there were many major things wrong with the house that needed fixing: broken garage door opener, broken blinds cutting off view, windows that didn’t open or close easily or at all, terribly uncomfortable bed, front door lock mismatched, etc. Sanctuary responded to each thing until all was well.

Perfect spot in Pacific Grove

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Pacific Grove. The location couldn't have been better for walking to coffee, restaurants, the beach and entertainment. It is truly steps away from the Aquarium, and the view of the ocean is lovely. We especially enjoyed visiting the seals on the beach less than a block away. We went back several times each day and loved watching them with their babies - it was magical. From the dining table, we saw otters in the ocean frolicking with their babies. The beds were extremely comfortable and the entire home was clean and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this home and wouldn't hesitate to return here.

Amazing View and Easy Access to Everything

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a month! Locals call it June Gloom, but we thought the cool, cloudy days were lovely. We could see the bay from the living room and dining room. We could walk down the street, cross the road, and we were at the ocean... literally 2 min. to get to trails, kayaking, and any water fun we wanted. The house had a good layout. The stairs might be a little steep for anyone who has mobility issues (there is a railing). Both bathroom showers are outdated, but totally functional, and not something that should deter you from staying at a house with a great view. Highly recommend. It's nice to have a garage too!

A few more steps and you’re at Cannery Row with a fantastic array of shops and restaurants. Or head up Lighthouse Avenue for live jazz, a farmers market, the Pacific Grove library, John Steinbeck’s summer cottage. Of course, get in your car and the beauty and history of this area will astound you.The house is also astounding: wonderful views, stacks and stacks of fluffy white towels, cozy gas fireplace, comfortable beds (well, the queen was too soft), well-stocked kitchen, and more paper goods and amenities than we have ever had supplied in a rental. Good job Sanctuary Vacation Rentals

The dryer is unbalanced and needs attention. The oven desperately needs to be calibrated. There needs to be more water and juice glasses, as there are very few. The most pressing need is the balconies that are covered with bird droppings. This is very disgusting and unsanitary.

Steps to the rec trail and walking distance to the aquarium, lovers point, shopping, restaurants etc...The view was amazing!!!We enjoyed the split level as our kids and visitors are adults. As for little children the stairs are steep with a few narrow steps.The kitchen definitely needs an update but was sufficient. No microwave though. The bathrooms REALLY need updating. The showers were almost unusable. We did pay our own utilities as we were there over 30 days. The bills seemed high compared to what we paid in our much larger home but oh well!We did enjoy the property. Just highly recommend a bath remodel.

Just What We Needed

You can't get a house much closer to Cannery Row, yet be located in a nice, relatively quiet neighborhood so near the water. The house is near perfect. It is one of two units, but at no point would I have thought that had I not seen it. Bring some binoculars so you can watch the fishing boats and sea life in the kelp from the balcony.

The living area is not very large and would be a challenge for more than 4 people. The futon in the living area is hard, ridgid and very uncomfortable to sit on. Sleeping on this futon would be impossible. There are no ceiling fans in the property. The downstairs area is very humid and damp. It would take 12 - 14 hours for a bath towel to dry. There are no TV's in the downstairs bedrooms. The property is very clean and well managed, It could use some kitchen renovations, new furniture and carpet.

The location was an easy walk from restaurants and bars, and a short drive from Carmel. If I come back to the Pacific Grove area I would definitely stay here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Directions to enter the unit were invaluable. Would prefer not to have the dining room table set. We were there for a stitching weekend and did not feel like we wanted to clear the table in order to use it. Also to turn on the fireplace there was not remote so that was not clear. Otherwise we had a good time.
