Lake Erie Paradise! Perfect waterfront getaway with deck and large sandy beach.

All the comforts of home (central air recently added)with incredible views of sunrise and moonrise over Lake Erie. Spacious living room with gas fireplace, up-to-date kitchen, large dining area(seats 6) and 2comfy bedrooms for when you can bear to leave the wraparound deck , the sandy 50 ft beach or the large grassy yard(front and back) which are perfect for outdoor fun. On a rainy day, there is cable, internet and a dvd player.This Zen cottage is located in an area of many attractions like Point Pelee National Park, with opportunities for kayaking, fishing,touring wineries, hiking trails and outdoor concerts, produce stands, and is a bird watchers delight! Local restaurants feature fresh fish and the abundant produce grown in the area. Spend your days walking the sandy beach collecting rocks and beach glass or fishing from our beach or the dock at the marina which is within walking distance. You can watch the fishing boats go out and come back in each day, and then visit one of the many outlets ( less than a mile from the cottage) that sell the fresh-caught fish and cook it on the gas grill on the deck. The Taylor Fish store (less than a mile away) also has a "Chips truck" with a large menu of prepared fish dinners. Leamington is only 8 miles (12KM)away with more restaurants and Seacliff Park. Picture yourself sitting on our deck, on the large lawn or on the 50 ft beach! The view of the lake is priceless. You won't be disappointed!

Relaxing stay

This waterfront property was perfect weekend getaway... we thoroughly enjoyed the deck, beach access, and grill for cooking meals! Good location for a variety of walking trails to explore as well

Family Beach Vacation

We had a lovely week at this cottage. Sand play, swimming, games on the lawn, cooking over the fire. It was a lot of fun for all of us.

Lovely cottage right on the beach

The cottage was just perfect for some R&R on the beach. Well appointed, clean, super quiet and right on the beach. The owners and caretakers were very helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend this rental.

Relaxing time on the water

What a great rental! We were so lucky to stay here for one of the last weekends in August. The water was warm, the beach was inviting, and the house is fully furnished. This house has a fully stocked kitchen and we put it to good use. We'd love to stay here again!

Beach Delight

A clean, comfortable cottage for our family of 3. We spent hours at the beach - sand play, water play, skipping stones and just reading. Many walks to the pier. We watched one big storm out the lovely big window. We had a wonderful time.

A family weekend

A lovely weekend at a lovely cottage for a family of 3. The 7 yr old played for hours on the beach even though the weather was wet and cool. He loved it. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and had a lovely deck with a view of the lake. All in all, a wonderful fall weekend at the beach.

A gem on the beach

The cottage was perfect for our family of 5. There is a large grassy area before you get to the beach where we played lots of sports and enjoyed a fire every night (except the Maple Leafs insignia on the fire pit, lol, we are from Montreal ;-). The beach area is great with a large area to play in the sand. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing I can think of that would be great is a couple of life jackets as the water gets deep quickly (we borrowed from our neighbours). I was worried as we are used to AC but the ceiling fans and the breeze from the beach were more than sufficient. Doug and Julie were great with communication the whole way through. Oh and we had the best fish and chips (and tartar sauce) we have ever had at Taylor's Fish & Chips, just down the street.

Special place for summer memories

A picture is worth a thousand words but this is one of those special places that can’t be explained by even pictures. The feeling of the breeze, sound of the waves, the smell of summer air, the glow at sunrise and sunset, the sparkle of the sky at night. It took me back to the best moments of my childhood summers. The hosts love and take pride in their home, and you can sense that immediately. Everything is perfectly taken care of and you have everything you could want. It’s all put together in that beautiful, simple, efficient way that comes from years of living in a space and fine tuning it for the best experience. One interesting surprise was actually connected to the one question we had in our minds - no air conditioning? We had temperatures in the mid-30’s to low 40’s the whole week and we like having a cool space, especially to sleep, and the cottage was always comfortable. The bedrooms have amazing cross ventilation, and each one has a ceiling fan if you wanted a bit extra. In the living areas there’s ventilation and they had two strong fans available as well. Our surprise came when we realized that no air conditioning meant both the windows were open and here was no a/c hum. Fell asleep to the sound of waves, rustling leaves, crickets, cicadas, and katydids, then woke of to the sound of the lake and birds. Pure summer in those moments. The beach is great - sand, lots of space, and clean. The fire pit is great - leftover fish and chips are amazing heated up over a bonfire and Taylor’s Fish Truck is minutes away. They left clear and complete notes about the household stuff you don’t think of but that’s different every place such as the tv, cable, internet, garbage days, etc. The kitchen has everything you could need, it’s clean and well taken care of. Linens were clean and there was everything you could need. The mattresses and pillows were good quality and very comfortable. The bathroom has a lot of counter space, water temperature and pressure are good, and it’s a tub/shower combination. We never used the fireplace but I can only imagine how wonderful it would be. This is that one friend’s cottage that everyone crosses their fingers they’ll be invited to. The best spot on the lake, with a beach, gorgeous views, the little luxuries like a fireplace for cozy movie nights, plus beautifully decorated and appointed. A beautiful, magical place.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful little cottage. We arrived to find it equipped with everything we needed. The kids spent pretty much the entire stay swimming at the beach. It’s the perfect size for a family of four or two couples. We would happily stay here again. Thank you!

Even better the second time!

It really is a piece of Lake Erie paradise. This was the second year there and it just gets better and better. Wonderful beach and water in the sun, and an amazing view of the stars around the bonfire. Saw lots of fireflies this year, and some amazing storms cross the lake at night with the lightning reflecting off the water. The cottage feels like home and a secret, special getaway all at the same time. Lovely light and cross breezes coming in, views of the lake, and every amenity you could want, plus the most comfortable beds. Point Pelee is so close - 15 minute drive, that it’s easy to fit in a trip to one of the most unique national parks. The boardwalk and swallows, kayaking through the marsh and ponds, and walking out the to most southern point of mainland Canada - loved getting to see it again. And Taylor’s Fish Truck for fresh caught dinner is becoming a tradition. I don’t think words or photos can do it justice. There’s a feeling there that’s so special and we’re grateful to have been able to enjoy it. The hosts certainly are a big part of that - warm and welcoming, easy to reach and talk to. Thank you again for opening your home and sharing it. It’s created so many lifelong memories for us of summer times spent with loved ones.

Wonderful cottage in a stunning location

The cottage was amazing and located right on Lake Erie. Beautiful views. Kitchen had everything we needed. Convenient check in and easy communication with owner. I wish we’d had more time to stay!

Beautiful spot with everything you need!

We loved our family stay here! The cute cottage is stocked with everything you might need (toilet paper, dish soap, even sunscreen, bug spray and some toiletries)! We didn't receive the entry code ahead of time but luckily Julie answered the phone right away so we could gain access when we arrived. We were there on during a heat wave, though, so it was HOT. Thank goodness for the awesome lake & beach literally steps away from the deck. Word has it that A/C is being installed very soon which would be a fantastic improvement. The cottage has a cream carpet (even in dining area) that was difficult to keep clean with children but we did what we could. Bedrooms have ceiling fans which were helpful for sleeping. Bath tub was slippery (one child had a fall in the shower) so recommend a grippy bath-mat. The large lawn was wonderful for kids to play. We hope to return to this gem of a spot!

Great view of the lake. Lots of windows that work. Comfortable place, close to Point Pelee National Park. Host was great to work with.

Wonderful cottage!

The cottage was absolutely fantastic! Very well located, close to Pelee Point, beautiful beach and view, very well equipped. Even the linens and the bowls/plates were really nice. The host - Julie- is fantastic: great and quick communication. We loved our stay!

Great view of lake

We enjoyed our stay at this place. A view from the cottage was magnificent and breathtaking. All the appliances, utensils were in place. Wifi was good. The owners were helpful and approachable. There’s nice fish and chips near by which was really good!!!! We are looking forward to go back to this cottage in the near future......
