Beautiful Country Gem

Our home is a newly remodeled country home located just outside Crescent City in a little town called Fort Dick. Surrounded by redwoods this country home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bath and a huge fenced front and back yard that the kids can run and play in. We are located about 2 miles to the ocean, about 1.5 miles to the beautiful Smith River. There is a restaurant directly across the street and a convenience store next door. NO ANIMALS of any kind are allowed. The property is allergy free due to the owner’s/cleaning personnel being highly allergic to animal hair, dander, feathers and the like. This poses a serve health hazard to the owners and cleaning personnel and therefore there are no exceptions to this rule.

This home is centrally located to visit both the beach and the redwood forest. It was sparsely furnished, but adequate to our needs--no frills. Laundry facilities were available and easily accessible. WiFi was available at no extra charge. Amenities were adequate.

It’s a charming home. My kids loved eating yellow plums off the tree with Amanda’s permission. We slept comfortably and loved being able to do laundry, cook meals, and relax after adventuring at the beach and in the Redwoods.

This home is just as clean and well cared for as the picture show. The location was perfect for enjoying the redwood parks and the ocean beaches. I’m absolutely in love with the master bed and shower! Just a sidenote: the master bed is quite tall and I am not so I did have to get a little stool to climb in and out of bed at night but I slept so good!!!

Redwoods Getaway

This home was perfect for our quick trip to the redwoods, I wish we could have stayed a little longer. The house was clean, it was furnished with comfortable furniture and beds. It was supplied with all the accessories we needed. We really liked the privacy of the home with a large hedge that ran the property. This home is in a great location, being close to all kinds of places to go visit. As well as groceries, gas and restaurants. The owners were great to work with and we would highly recommend them and their home! We would definitely come back to visit.

Pictures of the house were accurate. Everything was clean and very welcoming. The master bed sits higher than we are used to. We are about 5’7” and it was a bit difficult for us to get into. We would consider staying here again if we were back in the area.

Just as described!

REALLY Loved this stay! We would stay again for sure. 10/10 would recommend! We really appreciated how clean it was, it was so nice that way. The communication was fantastic! Hosts were super great, we had a little issue with the faucet, and the host was there in a heartbeat and to care if it so quickly!Location was just so good. 15min from AMAZING redwoods. 6min to such a beautiful beach! We also stopped by pebble beach which was spectacular. The bed I slept in was super comfy. We stayed in August so it was a little warm in the house at night; I don’t know that this would be an issue any other month. We had a fan in our bedroom so we felt pretty good, my kids in the room without a fan were a little warm. But everything was just so good. What a great vacation! We just LOVED this stay!

This Gem lives up to its name!

We loved staying in this immaculately clean home. It is situated on a nice piece of property surrounded by a privacy fence, shrubs, and security gate. We enjoyed sitting out on the back patio soaking in some sun where it was nice and quiet. The location of the house made it easy to explore the beautiful local beaches and the Redwood National Park. An added bonus was a little store and gas station, right next door, that sells grass-fed meats and has amazing fresh-baked goodies. Amanda communicated well with us. We would definitely recommend this Country Gem.

Great, comfortable home

Wished we could have stayed another night! My only request would be more kitchen towels. Just because some of the group didn't seem to understand the towel wasn't for cleaning up dirty messes. It was to DRY things. Very comfortable home. Loved the decor & the comfortable beds!

Felt just like home!

Owners know how to make someone feel right at home! Location is wonderful if you want to see the beach and the redwoods. Much to see and do within an hours drive, most things are only a 30 minute drive or less. Plum tree in front yard was in season and delicious!

Perfect house for a perfect stay

Just minutes from the ocean and beaches and redwood hikes! House is exactly as advertised. Safe, clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

Very nice!

This house was as advertised and the fenced in lawn was very nice. It was spacious, clean, and had the things we needed. I would definitely recommend it to others and we had a family of 7. It worked for us.

Country Charm

This lovely CLEAN home is comfortable and private. It sits right next door to a country gas station/market. The market has a great deli with delicious breakfast burritos and more—just a short walk over. The home is surrounded by a large property and tall shrubbery—very private. A beautiful setting, close to the Redwoods and the coast.

Great alternative to pricey beach rentals

Literally half the cost of the other rental I was looking at in Crescent City. Still very close to town and also close to Brookings, OR. House was immaculate and host answered a question I sent her within five minutes. Kids loved the big yard which was also very safe because the area is completely fenced. Very nice experience.
