Charming and peaceful

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. The view of the ocean and the first floor accessibility made all the difference! The condo is decorated beautifully, and creates a tranquil space for families to enjoy.

Awesome!

This 1st floor condo was great for getting our small child in and out to the pool, walking trail and beach. Great for a family with littles wanting a great location and wonderful experience

Relaxing Fall break

Property is beautiful with a nice view & great walk out proximity to pool & beach gate. Booking, checkin were super easy & very responsive. Would definitely rent again.

Peaceful & relaxing

Enjoyed our stay. Condo was nice. Needed service for minor issue and they responded immediately. Very happy with our stay and will definitely go back. This was our 4th stay at Mediterranea.

Great place, Great location, Great weather what more can I say. The accommodations were first rate. Everything we needed was there. This location is right across from the beach and for February the weather was accommodating, we’ll be back.

Fantastic vacation

My daughters and their families each had condos. We enjoyed having our space, yet meeting at the pool or beach. Very convenient location, clean and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.

Beautiful accommodations

Very beautiful accommodations. Very clean and great access to restaurants. The only complaint is that 2 nights in a row, the fire alarms went off in the entire complex at 1:15 in the morning. Very unsettling.

Excellent Break!

Perfect getaway for my husband and me! We loved it! Clean. Cindy furnishings. They need a K-Pod machine and a hair dryer but other than that - fully stocked.

Smelled awful!!!!

My husband and I have been visiting these units for two decades, and we have previously stayed in this particular unit. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by an unpleasant odor reminiscent of a wet dog. I recognize this scent from my previous housekeeper, who often used unclean cloths and inadequate cleaning supplies. Unfortunately, the odor persisted for two days, which was particularly disappointing as it coincided with my birthday weekend. I contacted VRBO to report the issue, and the representative assured me that they could arrange for someone to clean the unit. I requested that a staff member come to assess the kitchen area, as the smell was quite pronounced, but I insisted that no cleaning take place while I was trying to relax. Regrettably, no one arrived to address the situation, which I found to be unacceptable.

Some Observations

I've stayed at Mediterranea many times in the past and we all love it. However, I did notice this time that the property seemed a bit runned down...the pool chairs/tables were worn and need painting. The sign engraved in the front by the road is missing a letter, and the fencing is faded and needs touching up. I know it is difficult to keep any place at the beach in good shape, but I did want to voice what we observed in the hopes that this beautiful place can maintain its beauty and charm.

Updates Needed

Love the location and very ideal for my 87 year old mother. Place could use some serious updates. Tvs could be replaced. Had hard time with spare bedroom and living room TV was blurry and small. Pots and pans need replaced. We also had the smoke detectors went off on average of 3 times a day randomly even after batteries were replaced.

Comfort and convenience!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property! The condo had tons of space for just the 3 of us. Could have been just as comfortable with 2 more guests. Furniture and bedding was comfortable. Nice selection of plates, glassware and silverware. Appliances a little older but everything worked great, no issues. TV’s are a little older too. Absolutely loved the view and the ease of being able to walk down the private balcony steps to head straight to the pool! Or walk right past the pool to cross the road and your on the nicest private beach in Mirimar! Love love love this beach! The only bummer is we couldn’t use our CoolCabana. Appearently the condo association rules prohibit structures with “4 legs”. So the choice was either to buy a umbrella from a surf shop or get the umbrella and chair beach service for $60 a day. No thanks! Anyway, this did not ruin our vacation. We love this place and 100% plan to stay here again. The only reason I didn’t give this place a perfect score was due to some dust on things like the ceiling fans and behind the doors in bathrooms, etc. Totally clean enough for me but could use a thorough deep cleaning.

Beautiful Property, this unit just needs some updating

This is our 3rd stay at the Mediterranea. We have booked previously with Ocean Reef Resorts. We absolutely love the mediterranea and how quiet and private it is, its so close to restaurants and the beach access is perfect. We love the pool too. This unit was a little outdated and could use some updates however. The master bed was as hard as a rock and pillows arent great (pack your own) - so that made for a long uncomfortable week. There are hardly any usable pots/pans so that made cooking breakfasts a challenge. Typically we go to a local seafood market and cook at home for a night or two but were unable to due to the lack of utensils and usable cookware. The pantry is also off limits for the owner which I've never experienced. Having a weeks worth of groceries on the counter was not ideal. We also paid extra for early check in and our unit was still being cleaned for 20-30 minutes beyond our check in, we were told to just wait by Southern. We had driven 14 hours and were pretty frustrated with that. Southern was quick to at least respond. Overall wonderful property but this unit is not nearly as nice as the others available for rent. We still had a wonderful time!
