Oceanic Back Unit Studio Apartment inspired by the beach. Walk into a colorful, and fun environment. No SMOKING at the property whatsoever. Please respect my home. $100 automatic charge for smoking on property. Nice touches such as dimmable lights with 3 color settings and an electric fireplace. Backyard patio. Vacation at the beach does not have to be canceled just because we are staying at home. Bring the beach with this lovely, bright, and cozy oasis. Safe family friendly neighborhood.
The space Disclosure: Smart TV, connect to your own streaming services. home has a garden and is amongst nature so home is clean but if door or window is open flies and small bugs can enter. Not a reflection on cleanliness
Studio includes a queen bed and convertible sofa bed with mattress protector and fitted sheets that must be used before sleeping. Also cover is included in Ottoman. Walk through driveway to your back-unit Airbnb No shoes on rugs to keep clean. Connect to your own streaming services on smart tv. Kitchenette that has a hot plate, Utensils, Cups, plates, full size refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine with sugar and cream, hot chocolate packets, salt.
Guest access Condo is 200 feet from free neighborhood public parking but requires walking. Parking can be scarce especially during stay at home period. Access to cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer for every guest to use. These items should not be taken out of the condo. Back unit has access to thrash can.
Other things to note Parking during pandemic can be tough and on main road and is not to be held against my booking upon review as it has been communicated prior. My guest total cannot exceed my max 3. This is a tough time in our community and in the world as a whole. We each need to do our part to isolate ourselves and keep environment clean. I personally chose to invest more in my unit to create fun environment in times of social isolation. I’d be honored to host you and your guest.
Check In was easy and communication with the host was great, the stay went well overall. The surrounding area is full of things to do and is close to multiple bus stops. I would recommend the host in the future.

Great, tiny, get away
Quaint property, very close to DC (5 minute Uber or drive to National Mall). Easy enough to get parked. Host was quick to reply.

Bus stop nearby. Relatively close to the places we wanted to go (by bus). Would stay again.

Major Problem! Roof leaks onto bed!
Major Problem! Roof leaks when it rains and onto the bed! Even though the host and owner are aware of the problem, they continue to list the property. I informed the host of 3 separate leaks. He said he fixed it by putting paste on the roof, but it leaked a few days later. After the 3rd time, the host left me a can of Flex Spray to resolve the issue, which it did not. The property needs major roof work to resolve the issue. I was scheduled for a 16 day stay, but left after 6 nights. I asked the host to leave early and for a full refund. I asked for a full refund because I had to now spend more money looking for last minute accommodations. I also had to dispose of the groceries that I had bought. The host only gave me a partial refund. His reasoning is that he provided me shelter. The most important item that any listing should provide is shelter. The definition of shelter is “a place giving temporary protection from bad weather or danger.” On this item, the listing fails. In the end I was charged 8.5 days for a 6 night stay. The host said this was due to VRBO fees. I was on the phone with VRBO for HOURS trying to resolve this entire issue, but to no avail. VRBO has not given me credit for their fees. VRBO did not assist me in finding a new location. VRBO’s stance was that I should come up with a solution with the host. The host was very concerned about having a cancellation post on his account and being able to continue to the list the property. VRBO did not oppose to the listing of the property knowing its condition. Frustrated and exhausted after spending an entire day on this, I agreed to the partial refund. To be fair, other than the major roof issue, the unit is very nice and accommodating. Franck was very attentive throughout the stay, however he failed to fix the leak which made the unit uninhabitable. I will say that had it not been for the leak, I would have completed my stay. The bed is comfortable, the place is clean, and all items are available. The location is convenient with bus stops nearby.
