Welcome to Happy Trails, a charming dog friendly home set on a beautiful tree lined street within walking distance of historic downtown Cody. Stroll to local shops, restaurants, galleries, live music venues, or use this inviting property as your perfect Yellowstone basecamp. Whether you are planning a family getaway or an outdoor adventure, Happy Trails places you close to the action while offering a peaceful neighborhood setting to come home to.
Inside, you are welcomed by a bright entry that opens into a comfortable living room with eclectic western touches. Bedroom 1 features a king bed, Bedroom 2 offers a queen bed, and the living room includes a queen size pull out sofa sleeper to provide additional sleeping space for family or friends. The newly renovated full bathroom includes a step in shower, and a convenient half bath with laundry adds extra functionality. The fully equipped kitchen with a cozy dining nook is perfect for gathering and fueling up before a day of exploring Cody and the surrounding outdoors.
Step outside to a private backyard designed for relaxation, complete with outdoor dining space and a gas grill for evening cookouts under the Wyoming sky. After a full day of sightseeing, hiking, or enjoying downtown, return for a restful night at Happy Trails. Comfortable, walkable, and ideally located, this home is your perfect home away from home in Cody.
*Please note: this property is dog friendly only cats are not permitted.

Better than expected! The rooms were larger than I thought they’d be. The house was clean. The check-in process was seamless. Very close to everything, we walked to town, walked to the Rec Center and Library. Absolutely lovely home, would definitely stay again.

This was such a great place to stay. It had everything, including extra bath towels! We were on a hunting vacation so having a washer and dryer in the home was wonderful. very cute and spacious for 5 of us. Could have easily fit 8. We ended up asking to stay an extra day at the last minute and the host made that very effortless! Would love to stay here again.

Comfortable home, convenient location

Happy Trails is in a very convenient location within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. It's on a quiet residential street. The house if thoughtfully furnished and decorated. There are plenty of towels, a well-stocked kitchen and an outdoor space with table and chairs. Our only complaint was the lighting in the living room.

Perfect Getaway

This is the perfect little home for a getaway. We stayed here with another couple and it was perfect for us. The hosts were super kind and responsive to anything needed during our stay. We definitely recommend staying here!

Great property for a family

Although there were only two of us and a dog, it would have been perfect for a small family as well. The kitchen was very well supplied with just about any appliance or utensil you could want. The house was clean and the decor was great, just what you would expect in Wyoming. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. We were able to walk throughout the community and were minutes from a park and about 5 minutes driving to a great dog park. Backyard is gravel but front yard is beautiful grass, but not fenced. The house was charming in a lovely neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. We truly can’t think of a thing we were missing while we were there. The neighborhood was quiet except for two very obnoxious dogs on the other side of the fence. If your dog is reactive, this might not be the right place because the neighbor dogs never stopped barking while they were outside. The entire property is fenced but if your dog is tall or likes to jump, you should know the fence is short, no more than three feet tall.

Everything we hoped for

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way to Montana. It was comfortable, had everything we needed and is conveniently located near enough to downtown to walk but not so close that its loud. 10/10 would recommend.

Cody experience.

Our experience with the stay at Cody was amazing! The house is in a great location close restaurants and shopping made our evenings great after visiting Yellowstone, Tetons and Jackson Hole. The house gave us everything needed to rest after traveling, home cooking or grilling. This was our second trip out to Cody and again stayed with VRBO both times and we’re very pleased with the home.
