Great Summer Vacation

We really enjoyed the home, lake, and area. Located in a small little berg in Wisconsin and super close to Superior and Duluth. So much to do close and far away. We would strongly consider staying again in coming years. Great spot.

Lovely lake home

The property location is ideal for boating and running to the “village” for supplies. The view is perfect, especially while sitting in the deck. The street is quiet and the beds are comfy.

Best Stay Ever

Not only was the location perfect (not to mention the wonderful view of the lake), but the house was better equipped than any place we've ever rented. The kitchen, the closets, we lacked for nothing. The owner was incredibly responsive. It was perfect.

Summer fun

My children and grandchildren rented a house just down the lake and were able to pick us up at the dock by this house. Great location. House has ac which was great with the very hot summer! Wonderfully equipped house.

In town lake front home

Well equipped kitchens although we rarely used them. Good house for 2-3 couples. The upstairs living area is very attractive and comfortable. The owner is easy to get hold of and welcomed my suggestions for a couple of needed updates. We would certainly stay there again.

A relaxing and clean retreat

The house is a very well appointed and enjoyable place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, and the house is well built so you don't here noises from other spaces or outside when you are sleeping. The view of the lake is lovely and lake access is easy. The village is small and the residents are friendly when you see them on the streets in town. We had a very relaxing stay and if we are in the area again, we would look forward to staying at Mike's house again. He is a very considerate host.

Perfect Lake Nebagamon Getaway

This place was everything I thought it would be based on the details. Perfect location and within walking distance to the main part of the village. The owner was very friendly and responsive and gave very detailed and thoughtful instructions on how to check in/check out and how to use the property. The house was immaculate and had everything my family needed for a week stay. This property had a full setup downstairs and upstairs, which is perfect for a couple families to stay and have their privacy. Easily sleeps six people. Parking was no problem either. The entire stay was wonderful and I would absolutely recommend anyone looking to stay at Lake Nebagamon to pick this property.

Overall a great place to chill.

Location: great Price: very reasonable Amenities: very nice Only drawback: due to excessive rain preceding our stay and the amount of iron in the northern Wisconsin soil, there was an odor to the running water, although it got better as the week went on.We plan on staying here again, so the water issue obviously isn't a deal breaker.

Great house in a great location

Michael's place worked perfectly for us over Labor Day weekend. Lake Nebagamon is lovely year-round, but fall is especially nice. Michael's place is easy walking distance to the Village of Lake Nebagamon so you can walk to the Dairy Queen, Patti's Dockside, the Auditorium, Bridges, Lakeside, the village beach, etc. It's comfortable, quiet, clean, and well furnished. The beds are comfortable and there is good light for reading in the bedrooms which is huge for me and often an issue in rentals. The deck overlooking the lake is a treat. With 2 kitchens and 3 bathrooms, this VRBO works especially well for 2 couples or 2 families. Michael is super responsive as a host. We couldn't have been happier.

Great vacation location!

We all enjoyed our stay at the lake house. Everything we needed was their pots pans dishes glasses and everything was very clean and tidy. The upstairs lounge and fireplace and TVs were very welcoming and made us feel like we were on a real resort like cabin. We would definitely rent this house again and highly recommend it to anyone else. Thank you Mike for the nice location also we enjoyed seeing your family’s memorabilia very nice.

Great place!

This is a beautiful property and home! You will not be disappointed. There are even 2 kitchens! A very nice outdoor patio, views of the lake, a very short walk to Dairy wueen and public beach.

Family Reunion

We rented the property for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn't spend alot of time at the house because of our visiting of family, but the time we were there was enjoyable. Coming from a dry climate, we needed the air conditioning and that was perfect. The views from the deck, dock, and beach are incredible. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and public beach. Mike was very hospitable and available if needed. Thanks Michael for sharing your vacation rental with us.

This house was originally a summer-only home built by an Industrial Arts teacher from Superior. When he built the house, he used a former basketball court from his school for the floor in the front half of the house, which is now the upstairs living and dining area. He built the house in the years following WWII, and we estimate the floor upstairs may be over 100 years old. One last note on the upstairs floors: in the two bedrooms, the floors are of Douglas Fir--this wood was in the house next door, which was wiped out in a 2001 flood. We were able to salvage the wood and use it for the floors in the upstairs bedrooms. Because these floors are relatively old, please do not wear street shoes in the house. There are places near the doors to leave your shoes, as you enter, Thanks!

After I bought it, we decided to convert it to a year-round home. We jacked up the old house, added a floor underneath and expanded the foot print further towards the back of the lot. We rearranged the floorplan, and opened the front of the house with windows. Now, the house has two bedrooms upstairs (one primary bedroom and bath) and another guest bedroom and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath tub. There's a kitchen, dining area and a living room with a fireplace upstairs.

Downstairs there's and a disabled-accessible bathroom and bedroom, kitchen and living room. There's also a utility room with a washer and dryer available for guest use.
There is cable TV and Wifi, 3 TVs upstairs (lvng rm, kitchen & primary bdrm) and one downstairs. We hope you like the changes and enjoy your stay!

We're located in Lake Nebagamon, a lake situated about 25 miles east of Superior, WI, that offers swimming, boating, sailing and fishing in the summer, as well as hunting and, winter sports. The house is located near the main street of Lake Nebagamon, close to the grocery store/gas station, Dairy Queen and two taverns that serve food.
