Please note:
Rate based on 4 people and is the maximum number of guests allowed, this includes Adults and Children.
Towels are not provided, please bring bath, swimming and kitchen towels.
There is a light blanket on the bed with fresh linens and pillows. If you prefer a heavier blanket, please bring one along with you.
Pets are allowed. $25 per pet per night, maximum of 2 pets.
There are outside cameras in use.

The house was lovely. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very functional as my husband and I did a lot of cooking. The area is nice and quiet, the dogs enjoyed a little swim but mostly chilling on the deck. Everyone had a lovely time.

Adorable cottage in a remote setting. Lake access with kayaks and a canoe provided. All the basic amenities you need to enjoy a relaxing time. Deer pass by every evening. You are within an hour of Duluth and 1.25 hours from Bayside and the Apostle Islands. Hayward is close for shopping and dining.

Adorable cabin

Very clean cabin with beautiful aesthetic. We loved that it was dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that could have been improved is the kitchen supply. We could have used a serrated knife to cut bread and salt for cooking which are quite basic needs but minor issues. The customer service was exceptional. We would stay again.

Good- Followup for arrival Nice cabin features/location Enjoyed the deck, kayaks and canoe and lake Appreciated followup from Michele on cabin concerns , accomodations-would have been nice though to get condiments Not so good Kitchen could have had more condiments -didn't have basic spices, plastic wrap, and other cooking /storage items. A slow cooker would be a nice additon for those that want to cook in and uses less electricity ;) Put ice trays in fridge! Most cabins we stayed at had better stocked cabinets for food preparation and storage. We had to run to store to get condiments ;( and some toiletries. Asked for additional condiments and they weren't provided; Appears you are using automated messaging-it kept calling me Timmi-not very personal, or professional-didn't answer my questions. No towels provided-most cabins at least provide in cabin towels, beach/water towels are not usuallly provided. Charcoal should be provided, or a gas grill for cooking that is ready to go. Grate on grill was dirty Firewood should be provided-there were 5' long logs-not a good size for a fire, and wood supply was locked :( Could use tables at lake and grilling area for drinks/food Step off at end of deck is dangerous-need to paint end and add watch your step to prevent injuries. Instructions for the lock on the door didn't work-please update them for future guests. I believe you were missing the step that you have to push the Schlage button, then turn the lock (Not the handle) counter clockwise to lock ;) advise guests of known broken damaged items before their stay Overall we enjoyed our stay, but hope you can do better with supplies and feedback for your guests!

Nice Relaxing Stay!

Beautiful cabin, so quiet and peaceful, comfy bed, and lots of nature. We and our dog enjoyed watching from the large windows and the nice deck many deer including twin fawns visit almost every day. We also had a family of geese wander in the yard and onto the lake. The cabin is set high from the lake which does make for an invigorating hike back up from the lakeside, but it's doable! As mentioned in the writeup, bringing your own drinking water is a good idea. We have very hard water at home, too, but are used to having a water softener for washing, etc. All in all, a very nice place, super clean, and a pretty setting made for a nice getaway. Also, host company was very responsive to any questions and checking to make sure we were all set. Wish we would have had time to try out the kayaks and canoe on that peaceful lake.

Getaway in Barnes

Great property to stay at with my spouse for a quiet get away. We saw plenty of deer walk on by the deck and a flock of blue jays came through. Very relaxing and plenty of country roads to walk with the dog. Host is super responsive and checked in at different points. We’ll be back!
