Come relax and play at Longview Lodge on the beautiful Grand Lake O' The Cherokees! Newly built in 2020, this modern and beautifully furnished five bedroom, 3.5 bath home sits on one acre and has everything you need to enjoy your next perfect family vacation including an incredible fire pit, enormous patio with multiple seating and dining areas, a screened in porch and private 16 foot swim spa!

As you drive up to the property, you'll be amazed at the beautiful lakeviews not only surrounding the house but through the expertly designed large transom windows on either side of the door! The gorgeous living room with a 65 inch Smart TV opens up to a fully equipped kitchen with quartz countertops and seating for 17 between the two large islands and dining table. The fun starts quickly, as a game room adjoins the kitchen, featuring a pool table, another TV to enjoy the game, and a wet bar with a second full size refrigerator, sink, wine storage, and cabinets stocked with card and board games!

Enjoy one level living, as all five bedrooms are on the main floor. The master king suite with an incredible large bathroom and closet has direct access to the adorable screened in porch, TV with Roku and DVD Player, and a daybed for additional sleeping. Across the hall is the first of two bunk rooms (Twin XL over Queen), a full size laundry room, and a half bath.

On the other side of the home you'll find another king suite, a third king bedroom, full bath, and the amazing built in bunk room with four full size bunkbeds!

The upstairs bonus room includes a Pop-a-shot basketball game, Air Hockey/Ping Pong table, Xbox 360, and queen sofa sleeper!

The activities nearby are endless, as this house is so close to everything Grand Lake has to offer, including the Shangri-La Golf Resort and Spa (check out the brand new Anchor activity park!), multiple marinas and restaurants, and the Quarterdeck Waterfront Cafe just steps away!!

This family friendly home also includes a pack n play with mattress and high chair!

I will start off with the good because family time is always a wonderful experience . The views from this home are wonderful as well as the grounds and the extra lrg hot tub. The layout of the house was difficult for us but might be great for others. The not so good… the house was not very clean when we arrived, dirty floors, bugs ( they were dead so that is good), moldy coffee grounds in coffee maker, lots of broken items, the dishwasher door actually fell off when we opened it ( it was duct tapped and we found some and had to re tape), pool table corners loose and apart , missing door handle, broken towel rack, ripped couch cushion, no air hockey supplies, broken ping pong paddles ( the manager TY was VERY kind in getting us new supplies for air hockey), at least one light bulb in bedrooms was burned out, batteries to the kitchen faucet were out so didn’t function (we were able to go buy some and get it working ). Over all we all felt the condition of the home was not worth the to stay there again. When it comes to the area beware a lot of places closed for the season, we did still find some things to do and made it fun for all.

Good location but needs regular pest control

The property is really pretty and has amazing views of the lake. It comfortably housed my family of six and had all the things we needed to have a fun weekend. The only downsides were that there was a pretty significant bug problem inside and out of the house. Outside, we counted a huge number of wasps and hornets. There were old nests under the outdoor seats, and active ones within the roof above the patio. There must have been five active wasp nests around the front and back entrances. There was were spider webs covering most of the front door when we arrived, plus webs all over the back patio. Pretty much all outdoor furniture was covered in insects. There were also no screens to the back doors, so each time opened the doors to the backyard, several insects got in. Inside the house, there were cob webs on many of the ceiling light fixtures and around the coffee table. Hopefully, there can be more frequent and thorough pest control, because it really is a lovely house. Lastly, more annoying than anything, but many of the soap dispensers had water mixed with the soap to possibly make the soap last longer. We could see clear lines where the soap and water separated, so we know weren't imagining anything.

4th of July Lake Vacation

This property accommodated our large group of friends really nicely. It was well spread out and we had lots of room to be comfortable. All the games were awesome for the kids, pool table air hockey, etc. The fire pit was really nice and the host allowed us to set off fireworks which was perfect. It sounds like the area just experienced some record rain which is of course outside all control however the shoreline was covered with huge branches and full trees which made accessing the lake from the property near impossible. The host didn't mention this to us beforehand which was a disappointment to us. When we arrived and set up to grill we found the propane tank empty. We were reimbursed for the cost to fill it and the host was quick to respond. The sheets on the pull out couch upstairs were not clean so had to wash them. Probably because of the rain the the bugs were very intense which made using the patio not overly enjoyable so having the screened in patio was a better option for us. The beds were mostly comfortable with the exception of the bunk rooms. My kids did two nights in there and then opted for the floor afterwards. The kitchen had what was needed to cook which was nice. Having two refrigerators for a large group was great.This property is close to a boat launch so it wasn't too cumbersome but we decided that overall for our next lake vacation that we'll opt for a place with a boat dock for ease of shore access, swimming and boating.

If you’re on the fence—book it. Just do it.This place was perfect for our big family getaway! Incredibly spacious (finally, no one fighting over elbow room ), with comfy sleep setups for all. Even though it rained most of the time, we didn’t skip a beat—thanks to the generous covered deck and the coziest sunroom that became everyone’s favorite hangout.Inside? A total win. Pool table, air hockey, basketball—yes please! We laughed, played, and actually relaxed. The thoughtful s’mores treats waiting for us upon arrival were such a sweet touch—literally.Every detail was spot-on. Clean, roomy, fun, and fully family-approved. Can’t recommend this place enough!

4 generations of family had a great time!

The house was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our large family with plenty of beds, bathrooms, and dining spots for everyone. Communication with both the host and the property manager was prompt. We really enjoyed having the swim spa and the fire pit for the cool/rainy evenings we had during our stay. The only thing missing would be a dock, which we hope will be installed at some point as we’d love to come back! Thank you to our host for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Beautiful & Spacious home!!!

Very responsive communication! So much room inside and out for multiple families. With a beautiful view of the lake and the inside of the home being so spacious and comfortable we were beyond happy with our stay all around! Disappointed there was not a dock/direct water entry area, but we had water shoes that helped.

House was great! Strange neighbor situation.

The house was clean and nice. Exactly as pictured and no complaints on check in or check out. We had a rather bizarre experience. Apparently the people that own the house next door are relatives of the property owner. At one point as we were sitting around chatting, a woman came up onto the porch, sat down and started questioning us. She ended up saying we seemed like we were not good people. She actually used a curse word but I don’t wish to type that here. She grilled us on how we knew each other and what year we went to school. It was very awkward. My friends and I are not unfriendly people. We don’t mind meeting neighbors and making small talk, but she seemed inebriated and was insulting. It felt like she was there to gather information about the renters and report back.

Family weekend

This home is very clean with an open layout that allowed everyone to be together whether you were cooking, playing pool, eating, or watching tv. We enjoyed the sunrise views over the water every morning. The pool spa was like a large heated jacuzzi and was so fun to jump in early with the sun or in the evening. We had one issue over our stay which we contacted the property manager about. His response was prompt and kind, and the issue was addressed right away. This was overall a great stay. There is a golf path that ran clear to Shangri La. Next time we hope to rent some golf carts to ride down to marina, golf course or local restaurants.

Family Getaway

We are three generations of women honoring the strong women in our family. We enjoyed the layout of the house, well stocked kitchen, and beautiful view. We had plenty of room to gather in the dining room to eat as a family and play games in the living room. Every member commented on how nice the house was and having plenty of room for parking.

A wonderful weekend!

The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a wonderful weekend at the lake! Close to Shangri La and all its amenities it is the perfect location. Large yard, fire pit, hot tub, pool table, the list of activities that this house provides goes on and on! The host was amazing and so easy to work with. No down sides to this one!! Such a fun weekend! Thank you!

Lots of Potential

This is a great house and a really nice location but as another reviewer stated the outside could use some cleaning up. The back porch, which is a great spot for gathering and has plenty of room for a large group, was very neglected. It needed a really good power washing to clear out the bugs, cobwebs and mud daubers. The screened in porch was unusable due to the spiders and cob webs. The inside was clean and well kept and the property manager was quick to respond when needed but we were disappointed in the lack of up keep on the outside for the price of the house. This did not change my review as it was not promised as part of the house but the lake is not accessible from the house. I looked at the pictures and thought our outdoorsy kids could figure it out but you can't swim there, at least not very easily. It is very rocky with lots of tree debris.

Family Getaway

Wonderful time in a quaint Vrbo right on the lake. Beautiful views with a cafe and pool for children walking distance away. Running trail, beautiful trees and terrain. Short distance to Grove where you can rent boats for the day, tube or ski. My family had an amazing time! So happy we were able to enjoy our time together- great memories indeed!!!

Nice house but outside living space could have been a whole lot nicer.

Upon arrival outside living space was dirty, covered in bugs/spider webs and wasp nests. Stains on cushions. Lawn and flowerbeds were overgrown. House was clean but little details not up to par for the price. We had a few issues with the inside but was quickly rectified We did appreciate the storm shelter as we had to use it early Sunday morning. Overall, not worth the price.
