Top Floor Suite of classic 1940's Beach Cottage

This charming classic 1940's beach cottage is just steps from the beach, shops & local dining! A comfortable, cozy "at home" feeling with warm earthy tones, wood floors and cedar paneling accent this top floor suite's 3 bedrooms, one bath, separate living room, kitchen, and dining area. Feel like you are up in an aerie and enjoy sea breezes on the front porch in rocking chairs with and view of the ocean a half-block away. This single floor suite accommodates smaller groups of up to six adults but it can be combined with the main floor- "Captain's Quarters" below, as a whole house rental for larger family gatherings, via a central spiral stairway. The door to this stairway will remain locked if rented individually. "Captain's Quarters" is named for the nautical feel evoked by the rope-wrapped central spiral stair. Please see our separate listing on VRBO-2314292. Each floor is 1100 square feet. The porch is 200square feet. Originally built in 1920 this property has been renovated several times but still retains the warm feel of a Classic cottage.

Guest Parking is limited! Each floor is allowed a maximum of 2 cars in the driveway at any time. Leave enough room for 4 cars parked side by side.
Sand: Use outside footbath after the beach. Rinse bathing suits and shake out towels well before putting them into the washing machine.
Grilling: Please bring grill outside from under the house. Be sure to s-----------e down and clean it after using.

Race weekend

Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed our stay on the top floor of this 1940s beach cottage. It was clean and the location was excellent with a short walk to the beach. The porch is amazing with a view of the ocean in the distance. The kitchen was well stocked and it was nice that beach chairs were provided as well as other beach equipment (paddle ball, wagon, boogie boards etc...) The owner was very kind and responsive.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. Close to the beach, walking distance to good restaurants and shops. Quiet neighborhood. This was our second stay and the reasons for coming back are strong. The unit is comfortable and well appointed.

So much fun!

We really enjoyed staying the Eagles Nest-Pink House! It is in the perfect location for walking anywhere and the beach is super close. Barbara was awesome and very welcoming and we’d love to come back again in a few months!

Great location and easy stay!

Perfect location for an easy stroll to the beach or to grab coffee and a bite to eat. Clean, plenty of towels, and space was great for two couples and a baby. Loved sitting on the porch every morning with the ocean in sight! Thank you!

House was great! Deck was awesome! Location is great. Third bedroom/pullout sofa was very dated and uncomfortable, but my boys didn’t care. Also could’ve used a dishwasher. Other than that we would definitely go again.

Very accommodating under short notice. Perfect location to everything there in Wrightsville. If you can’t get there on foot, it’s a short drive up the road!

Eagle’s Nest at the Pink House

Our stay at the Pink House (upstairs) was just what our family needed. Close proximity to the beach, N Lumina Ave and downtown Wilmington made for an excellent location! This is definitely a 1940s cottage experience and fit our needs perfectly. Ryan and Kelly (hosts) checked in with us promptly and although we didn’t need anything while we were there, we knew they would have responded promptly if needed. Thank you also to Barbara who made the booking process exceptionally easy, which included working with us for a slightly earlier check in. Great experience and we will book the Eagle’s Nest in the future!

I have lived in Wilmington for over half a dozen years and have enjoyed the family feel of Wrightsville beach since the mid-'70s.

This property has a breezy porch with an eagle's view of the ocean and a "secret garden" in a fenced-in backyard.
