Directly off the main street of the Michigan City Uptown Arts District, The Studio is the ideal space for an individual or couple on a getaway by Lake Michigan. With Michigan City's Washington Park just one mile away, the lakeshore is a quick walk or bike ride down the road. Right around the corner you'll have access to a variety of food options, boutique shops, and art galleries, all located within beautiful turn-of-the-century industrial buildings.

The Studio has been recently renovated and decorated with all new furniture. It’s super cute and features four floor-to-ceiling windows that bring beautiful light into the space. The Studio’s fully-stocked kitchenette offers a mini-fridge, electric stove single-burner, toaster, french press coffee maker, and microwave. There is also a smart TV and fast wifi that’s perfect for working from home.

We take COVID-19 precautions very seriously, so you can be sure that The Studio will be sanitized thoroughly before your stay, and we'll provide hand sanitizer and disposable masks for you if you don't have some on hand already.

Cute, cozy, calming, with convenient location.

I had a great time here, the location was very convenient, the space was accurate to the listing and very cute! Had everything I needed for a short getaway and I loved the aesthetic, giant windows, and the ease of the stay.

Cute studio just a quick walk to the arts district

We had a lovely time, really appreciated the thoughtful design and choices in the studio. We had some difficulty with the door and access and the property owners were so responsive and helpful at all hours of day/night. I would definitely stay here again if coming back to Michigan City!

Take shower soap and a hair dryer

This space is good for one but a little tight for two. It was very clean and nicely decorated but as we were getting cleaned up we learned there was no soap in the shower and no hair dryer. When we inquired, we were told there was a CVS nearby where we could purchase what we needed. That was most inconvenient.

This was a really cute space for a couples' weekend. Definitely a "studio" (not large), but more than enough for the two of us. The location was fun for walking around Michigan City and seeing the local sites. While the building is old, the room was in great shape and was quite clean upon our arrival.

Pleasantly Surprised

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were pleasantly surprised at the variety of restaurants nearby. The property was clean and decorated nicely. A suggestion would be to update the curtains with blinds. The street lights were bright and the curtains didn’t keep out the light. We also struggled with the key pad, finding it hard to open and lock at times. Overall we were pleased.

Clean & Cute

The studio was super clean and had what was needed for our 3-day stay. Communication with owner was easy; she gave recommendations for to-do and to-eat. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Great location in the Arts District.

We found the location was great for walking to antique shops and restaurants in the arts district of Michigan City. The beach was just a short drive away. The studio apartment was pleasantly decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is urban and on the edge of the old downtown which appears to be in a state of revitalization. We found it centrally located for the activities we were most interested in doing. Communication with the host was excellent and he was very attentive to our needs.

Cozy studio

This was such a cozy studio. Very very clean. Like new updates. Location was close to everything. Dunes were close by too. We will stay again for sure!

Great Beach Getaway

Great little studio with easy walking access to restaurants and shops. Cute breakfast spots in town, and friendly restaurants close by to dine at after a day of hiking/beach. Clean and tidy, clearly newly updated. Very short drive to beaches, great access to hiking in the dunes. Walk or drive to the outlet mall. On-street parking, no problem finding a spot. We loved our stay, would return without question!

Perfect distance

The property was very nice and comfortable for a weekend stay. Equidistant between Indiana dunes and warren dunes so we could check out both. Close to restaurants and activities!

Cute place!

We loved staying at this property! It was very cute and everything was new and clean. It was a great size for my fiancé and I. We were really impressed with how well stocked the kitchenette area was! They have definitely made the most of the space and didn’t skimp on any details :) we would definitely stay here again!

Old world charm in an industrial town, ups and downs along the way, and a boom in renovation bringing life back to this bustling beach area. The original house was built in 1911, so even though your space is new, you'll be able to see marks of history present!
